Härlig gammal tillväxt lövträ omger denna stuga. Bubbelbadet har utsikt över skog, damm och creek på vintern. Eldstaden lägger till sin mysighet.

Du kommer att se massor av vilda djur här ... björn, hjort, stor blå heron, mallards, och höra sjöloons, cirkadier och grodor på de 6 omgivande hektar.
Vår stuga hem är ca 70 meter bort men det finns en käpp mellan oss.

Nyckelord: Denna härliga autentiska log arkitekturhytt byggd av ägaren själv har utsikt över djupa skogar och damm. Romantisk swing på veranda. Välutrustat kök. 2 natursköna statsparker i närheten. Carters Lake är ca 20 minuter.
Blue Ridge ångmotor rida bara 20 minuter bort. Slang och vinprovning i närheten .... 5 minuter. I närheten av Aska Adventure-området ingår rör, fiske, paddling och mountainbike. Benton McKay Walking Trail i närheten. Terminus av Appalachain Trail vid Gilmer County Springer Mountain bara några miles away.
Flera vackra vingårdar i närheten. Meichtry vingård, Cartecay Vineyard och Englehiem vingård. Sitta ute på dessa vingårdar och lyssna på levande musik på helgerna. På svalare månader kan du njuta av uteplatser. Vinprovning erbjuds vid varje. Var noga med att besöka gårdsbutiken endast ca 3 mil från stugan. Det har hemlagad getter mjölk glass och ovanliga ekologiska kött. Gårdsbutiken är omgiven av hektar mjölkkor, getter och andra husdjur.

Jim byggde denna stuga och en annan liten stuga på vår egendom 1995 för vår pensionsinkomst. Han gjorde allt arbete själv.

Hidden Paradise

This cabin was perfect for our anniversary getaway. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and the hot tub was an added bonus. We also enjoyed the vine tasting at Ott Farms and Vineyard. I can't wait to visit again.

The cabin was perfect!

We stayed here for our first anniversary, and it was nothing short of amazing! Jim and Sally were SO sweet and helpful. The cabin was perfect, and we felt right at home. We loved the view. We will definitely be back!

The Cozy Little Cabin

It was a cozy little cabin, perfect for my husband and me to celebrate our first blind date of 26 years ago. We especially liked the swing on the back porch overlooking the pond. Someone local told us about the hiking place across the RR track from the apple orchards. We loved it!

Relaxing

Rustic but comfortable. The gas heater is not enough to keep comfortably warm. The bed was comfortable and warm upstairs. Slept good.

Absolutely delightful

Wow, what an amazing stay! My husband and I had such a wonderful time. The tiny house (actually it's really not that tiny) was so charming and perfect for a mountain trip. Jim and Sally were so welcoming and made check-in and check-out effortless. We also had an opportunity to chat with them one evening by the campfire. So lovely! We enjoyed the nearby hiking trail, apple picking, and downtown Ellijay (10 minutes away). Overall a perfect trip!

Apple Country Cabin

Very nice and pet friendly!

No cell phone service or wifi, but that’s a good thing if you’re trying to “get away” from it all! My wife and I love renting tiny homes. Fair warning, tiny water heater and water smells of sulfur, not a deal breaker, though! Creek in the backyard and SUPER polite owners next door. They had a sign for us hung upon arrival that read “Happy Anniversary Morris”, loved on our chiweenie, and they tried their best to help us out with the internet, but it just wouldn’t work! That’s okay, we spent the day away anyway! Would recommend

Cabin in the woods

The little cabin was perfect for our weekend getaway! It was easy to get to, close enough to all the different wineries, clean, comfy and cozy. My husband and I would stay again!

Retreat from a Dream

I have always dreamed of living in a log cabin. For 11 days, I was able to, in this ethereal setting in the woods. The back deck of "Pondside" greets you each morning with a view from the cover of Taylor Swift's "Folklore." The couch and bed were extremely comfortable, and I occupied my time reading and writing, as the birds, bees, and creek made music all around me. The hiking trail on Blackberry Hill, just a three minute drive from the cabin, captured my soul - with a roaring river and moss-covered boulders upon which I sat, contemplating how such beauty has come to be in this world. But more than the cabin, the hosts captured my heart - Sally and Jim are special people, and the time with them was pure magic. Highest recommendation!

Quiet forest setting

Very comfortable space for one or two adults in deep forest setting with lovely "green" views out the many large windows. Rustic but has everything needed and hosts are extremely friendly and helpful.

Peaceful & Serene

We absolutely loved staying at the cabin, it was the cutest little tiny living space that was completely functional for us 3 adults. The view is beautiful, and the property managers were so very sweet. Miss Sally was super understanding when I talked to her on the phone about our trip being delayed and we would be getting in late, and the self check in was prefect for just that! 10/10 recommend this sweet little cabin for any get away to the mountains!

Perfect!

Jim and Sally were wonderful hosts and loved having the time to speak with them. Cabin was perfect for my wife and myself and made you feel like you woke up in a treehouse. Quiet, peaceful and surrounded by nature which was just what we needed.

Didn't get to stay.

We received word of my wife having to undergo chemotherapy treatments which was very unexpected, actually a gut punch! My wife said she wanted to get away for a few days so we rented this cabin at approximately 8:00 - 8:30 on Monday night. We received a call from the Dr. the next morning (Tue) around 8:00 and informed us of testing that had to be done on Thursday which was in the middle of our stay. My wife called and explained the situation and asked if our deposit could be refunded. The owner advised they were sorry but would only return half of our deposit, which to date has not been returned. I understand business but just be aware if an unexpected problem arises what you are dealing with. The only reason I rated it was it was required.

Beautiful

This cabin is exactly what the Dr orders when they say rest and relaxation, the views of nature in itself is amazing, the sounds of the water flowing from the creek, to the chirps of the birds signing in the trees. Absolutely amazing!! Highly recommend for anyone needing a getaway even for one day!!

Paradise in the mountains

Sally and Jim were very nice with us . The cabin is a little enjoyable place and the location is surrounded by beautiful nature . I would like to visit the area next winter to get some snow.

It was the perfect quiet getaways for my husband and me! Cute and cozy!

It was super easy check in, and we were even greeted by the hosts once we arrived! It was so comfortable and cozy! We would’ve liked for it to have been a little more secluded, but that didn’t interfere with our trip. We didn’t see or hear any of our neighbors. We’re musicians so we were more worried about bothering our neighbors. It was a perfect trip!

We are a retired couple enjoying living on the 6 acres with the cabins. Our granddaughter , Shayla, lives with us. I am a retired school teacher and Jim owned a cabinet company and a glass company. Jim built all the cabins on the property and we keep them in good condition and very clean. Ellijay is surrounded by mountains and hiking and tubing and all the outdoor activities of a small mountain and river town.

Varför värden valde detta boende

We are Georgia natives who grew up in Smyrna and came with our families when we were children to Ellijay to get apples and view the leaves in the fall. As adults we continued to visit and in 1994 we decided to find our own get away in beautiful Ellijay. Then in 1995 Jim built this Pondside cabin for added income. It was so popular he built the Creekside cabin soon after. We are sure you will enjoy Gilmer county as much as we do. We live on the 6 acres so are available to answer any local questions you may have. We are here in case the gas for the grills give out or any other problem you may have.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

We are only a 10 minute drive from Wal Mart and stores surrounding it but still have the seclusion of being on the 6 acres with no other cabins except ours in sight. About 15 miles away is the town of Blue Ridge which has an old locomotive train excursion to another nearby town and back. Ellijay and Blue Ridge are filled with quaint shops and restaurants. You may tube down our creek using our tubes any time. No cost. Be sure to visit Amacalola Falls only 20 minutes away.
