Presenting this exciting opportunity to vacation in a private estate in the Mauna Kea Resort's exclusive Fairways South community. Fairways South 31 has completed extensive renovations and offers guests expansive living spaces, fresh interiors, a modern kitchen, spa-like bathrooms, and just under 5,000 square feet of living space spread across 4 structures. Located on a choice home site, the property is optimally positioned on a bluff providing for exceptional 200 degree views of the ocean, the Kohala coastline, and Maui in the distance. A long driveway separates the home from other residences in the community, affording the utmost seclusion. Fairways South 31 is the perfect escape for multiple families or large groups, offering three private master suites, a detached deluxe kids suite with 2 sets of bunk beds & sofabed, and picture-perfect outdoor spaces..
The newly refurbished interiors feature stone floors, tropical hardwood cabinetry, modern lighting features and elegant coastal furnishings. The main home boasts spacious living spaces that open up to the pool to inspire the indoor-outdoor living that is quintessential of this famous Hawaiian Resort. High ceilings throughout the home add to the open ambiance as the cooling breezes pass through the home with ease. Guests will enjoy sunset dinners using the built-in outdoor BBQ, or open up the retractable windows in the kitchen to create a more casual dining experience. A Sonos speaker system allow guests to play their favorite music throughout the entertaining spaces.
There is one master bedroom attached to the main home with a king-size bed, vaulted ceilings and a private lanai directed at the ocean views. The en-suite bathroom features soothing tile work, with a walk-in shower as well as an outdoor lava-rock shower to complete the tropical experience. There are two other completely private master bedrooms, each located in separate hale's (pods) away from the main home, thoughtfully positioned to enhance the views and privacy. The separate guest pods feature Cal King-size beds, en-suite bathrooms, smart TV's and ocean views. The high-end kids suite is a newly renovated and furnished space that can sleep seven people; featuring two sets of bunk beds with full beds over queen beds, a queen sofabed and television, a modern bathroom with two sinks, two showers, a bathtub, an outdoor shower and ample storage and space to play.
Guests of Mauna Kea Fairways South 31 may purchase resort access to use the Mauna Kea Resort Club facilities during your stay for $260/day in 2025 + tax, per RESERVATION (not per person). 2026 fees have yet to be determined and are subject to change. Purchase of this membership includes the following privileges at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and the Westin Hapuna Beach Hotel facilities: Charging privileges at both hotels for dining and activities, access to hotel beaches and pools, use of towels, lounge chairs, umbrellas, reduced golf rates, tennis (court fees apply), use of two fitness centers (yoga and group classes available for a fee), and an access card for preferred parking at the hotel.
Starting April 2024, the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel will be undergoing a major renovation. The hotel is not planned to be closed entirely - instead the renovation will occur in sections which may, at times, cause interruptions to golf, tennis and hotel services. Please contact the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel- (808) 882-7222 - for more specific information about access during your travel dates. The renovation will be ongoing from April 2024 until the Fall of 2025. The Westin Hapuna Hotel will *not* be impacted by the renovation and will be open as normal.
