House of Joy is an old school beach house right on the Gulf of Mexico and nestled in the dunes on a private lane near the end of Ft Morgan Rd. You will practically have the beach to yourself in this long time family home. It offers expansive views of the Gulf waters and pristine white sands. Enjoy ocean breezes on the open porches, relax in the Adirondack chairs or have your lunch with a view on the picnic table. It is the perfect place to disconnect, unplug and unwind.

With three bedrooms and three baths, the home sleeps six people comfortably. Spacious kitchen is well stocked for cooking in and Tacky Jacks is walking distance if you want to go out for a meal, a drink, karaoke or live music.

All linens are provided as is a full laundry. Pack your beach towels, sunscreen and your favorite swimsuit. Bring your beach chairs to enjoy cabana provided with house.

Relaxing Beach Getaway

We truly enjoyed the property especially how close it was to the beach. It was easy to find and was far enough away from the other houses to be private. We will definitely consider staying here again in the future.

Wonderful House!

Beautiful, clean home! Gorgeous view of the ocean from the deck and Master bedroom. My only issue is that there are lots of "multi-family" homes around this house, which caused a lot of excess noise from loud neighbors. Many, many people also would walk around the closed gate and use our gravel driveway to walk to the beach. They would leave their shoes by our house too, which was annoying. None of this is the owner's fault though. Overall, a great place!

Perfect Retro Mawmaw Cabin

The location of the cabin is perfect. It's 100% retro but very well maintained. It's like staying at your mawmaw's house but at the beach. Big enough for families. Plenty of room for kids and kid friendly. Very very clean. Would 100% stay there again.

Perfect

Absolutely loved it. It had everything we needed and was perfect for our kids and us. I basically lived on the beach or the porch, and having it right there was so convenient. Master bed was comfy, water pressure was great, AC worked perfectly. We hope to come back next year!

A Lovely House

This house was just as advertised. The beach was right outside the back door. Far enough from Gulf Shores that the area wasn't to crowded, yet close enough to see all the "touristy" parts. Tacky Jacks 2 is right across the street and has a wonderful grouper sandwich.

Right on the beach

We loved this property, and when they say it’s just steps to the beach, they are not kidding. We could see dolphins swimming almost every morning, right from the deck. The house was charming and the kitchen was very well stocked. The nearest restaurant, Sassy Bass, was only about 3 1/2 miles away. The ferry to Dauphin Island is just a couple of miles the other way. We had a lovely stay!

Fantastic stay!

Vintage vibes and a blast to the past with a low key setting in an excellent location on the beach! The house could use a bit of updating but was overall clean and comfy! Would definitely recommend and look forward to staying again!
