Our 4 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom 2,900 square foot single level home is located in the Animas Valley just 12 minutes from Historic Downtown Durango and 20 minutes from Purgatory Ski Resort to the north.

The new home has been outfitted to be the ultimate vacation rental with a private hot tub, huge covered deck with outdoor dining table, gas fire pit and a BBQ Grill as well a 6 ft. Pool Table, Ping Pong and a Shuffleboard table in the garage. The home is perfect for multiple families as it features a 2nd living space with a cocktail arcade game (with 60 classic games), TV and queen pull out sofa.

The newly renovated Durango Hot Springs is just a 1/2 mile from the home and Dalton Ranch Golf Course along with PJs Market and a great liquor store are just across highway 550 only a mile from the house.

Durango Family Vacation

The location was a little outside of town, but an easy drive to several activities we enjoyed. The Bar-D - Chuckwagon was a hit, as was the Mild to Wild whitewater rafting. We enjoyed some hiking and walking around the shops downtown Durango. One highlight that we did not expect was the Durango Recreation Center. It was worth the several hours we spent swimming, rock climbing, and playing there. This property was well maintained and the management company was responsive to a couple of minor issues that they resolved quickly. We would recommend this for future stays.

Magical Vacation Rental

We had a great time hiking and then eating all kinds of great food and catching up. The property was immaculate and well furnished; the views spectacular. We enjoyed seeing the train in the mornings and there is a great Cafe just down the street that had great coffee. Oh and the hot springs just a mile away are a must do!

Amazing House

Amazing house and amazing hosts. We had the best stay while visiting our daughter during family weekend at Fort Lewis. We vacation a lot and this rental was one of the best we have stayed in. Thank you for the best trip!!!!!!

So comfortable and has everything you need!

This home was perfect for our family gathering. It is a great location for exploring the wonders surrounding the Durango area and Durango itself. The kitchen is extremely well stocked! Comfortable living room seating and enough room for our family of 7 people. The hot tub and outdoor fireplaces were a hit as well. The furnishings were beautiful as well as the artwork. The one thing missing were grab bars in at least one bathroom. My 93 year old mother-in-law was not able to take a shower because of this but she did okay with “birdbaths”. The lack of grab bars seems to be a common issue in rentals for some reason. One of the king size beds sloped in the middle a bit (the room with the winter train photo)but we were able to get a good sleep. The home is very large! It is bigger than the photos show. The master bedroom could be a separate apartment! There is some highway noise if you have windows open or are outside during the day. It quiets down at night quite a bit. It was also fun to watch the Durango/Silverton train go by several times a day. Communication with our hosts was very kind, welcoming and prompt. Check in and check out was smooth. We highly recommend this home and would stay again if we are in the area.

Great family vacation rental

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our 3-generation family vacation at Hermosa Haven. It was wonderful to have 3 king-sized beds. We used the covered back deck lots for our evening meals. Kitchen was large, living room was big enough for us all. Lots of games to play too (pool table, ping-pong table, hot tub). The grandkids spent a lot in the big backyard. It does back-up to the main highway (don't hear it inside though), but we did get to see lots of Durango-Silverton trains go by.

Fourth of July in Durango!!

The bedrooms were spacious and the beds so comfortable. The shower in the master bedroom is HUGE and the water pressure fantastic. Never wanted to leave. We enjoyed playing ping pong, soaking in the hot tub and watching the train go by each morning and afternoon. The neighborhood is quiet with a small grocery store close by. It was a quick 10 min drive to downtown Durango for anything you need. Absolutely loved our stay and will definitely go again!! Communication with the management company was super easy and they made the door code really easy to remember.

Beautiful home in gorgeous setting that meet our needs

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed here along with our kids and young grandkids and this was perfect as there was a room for everyone. While we couldn’t all sit at one table (there were ten of us), the kids were very happy to sit together at the kitchen island. We were out a lot doing activities (train, mining tour, Mess Verde, rafting and zip lining, and this was a very comfortable place to return to and relax. The adults especially loved sitting on the back porch drinking coffee in the morning, while the young girls loved waving to the train passengers (who waved back!). We would definitely come back here.

Hermosa Home

This house was absolutely perfect for our party of 8! It was it was very roomy. Counting the powder bath each couple had their own bathroom. Dining table and bar nicely sized for our group. Garage space for 2 of our vehicles was great. Office area at the front of the house was hardly used, but nice to have when a phone call back home was necessary. Beds comfortable, utility room nice and large, plenty of plates and glasses. Large sectional and chairs perfect for us to watch play off football and tennis! Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Purgatory ski & outdoor trip mostly North of Durango

It’s conveniently located off 550. 10 out of 10 would recommend and will definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises.- Location.... Location.. Location... people. Seriously, easy to access and the best part is that you DON’T have to drive through Durango unless you want to. This was super convenient for us as all of our time was spent on the hill, or at places north of town and we don’t do condos. Although the house is close to the highway, it’s actually quite serene. We had plenty of kitchen gear and beds are comfy and kids loved the games outside and the bunk beds. This house doesn’t look it from the road, or front. But it is an extremely large house. Plenty of room for everyone without feeling cramped. Times to places close to the house:- Durango Hot Springs - 1 min- PJ’s gourmet market - 1 min- Honeyville - 2 mins. - James ranch grill (which is awesome btw) 2 mins away.- Purgatory 15 mins (and you can enter and exit the neighborhood without going through the light at Hemosa! So no traffic jam south ound at 3:30pm)- Bears ranch 8 mins - THE Coolest sunset sleigh ride experienceWe used the hot tub, but not the fire pit or grill. Everything worked here and the USB-C & A chargers in the plugs and the seats in the living room are a nice touch.

The fireplace shared by the living area and Master Bedroom was a highlight. So many amenities.. a garage filled with table games, hot tub and firepit, large back porches. The location was perfectly situated between Purgatory for the skiers and Durango for the shoppers, only a 15 minute drive each way. Loved the neighborhood and stunning view of the mountains. Would highly recommend this home!
