We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Nathan and his team made our stay a delight with personalized touches, a very clean home, and prompt communication. We would absolutely choose to stay at this property again. This was one of the best vacation rental experiences we have had. Kudos to Nathan and the team!

Wonderful! Our annual family reunion is in Abilene every July and this was the perfect solution for my wife, daughter, and I to share a space with my wife’s mother, brother, his wife and their daughter. It allowed us to have a sort of a reunion within the reunion and was much more comfortable than staying in a hotel. The property was well-manicured and private and the house was beautifully appointed, well-stocked, and full of personal touches that went above and beyond. We couldn’t have been happier overall. If I were to offer any criticism or warning to future guests, it would be that the entrance to the property is directly off a highway and not incredibly well-lit at night.

Amazing house with everything you need

This is an amazing house very peaceful and beautiful outside it has everything you need for your stay the beds are very comfortable two living rooms a wonderful kitchen I loved the old rustic fill from the time I walked in the front door I will definitely stay here again the next time I’m in town and the host is wonderful answered any and every question I had very promptly

Great set up!

The house was very comfortable. The kids loved the game room and yard, which is fenced in. Dog run was convenient as well. Location is less than 10 minutes outside of town and made for dark starry nights. I would stay here again.

Our amazing stay

Our stay was absolutely amazing! The property was spacious, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. We had everything we needed for a relaxing trip. We were in town for a softball tournament, and Nathan and his crew went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They greeted us with a thoughtful Texas welcome, and they even surprised our softball team with a goodie bag, which was such a special touch and greatly appreciated. One of our favorite parts of the property was spending the evenings in the backyard under the beautiful string lights. It was the perfect place to unwind after long days at the ballfields. Nathan was an outstanding host, and you can truly tell he cares about his guests and their experience. We are so thankful for the hospitality and will definitely be booking this property again the next time we’re in town. Thank you again, Nathan, for making our trip so memorable!

Simply Perfect

My husband and I rented this property for our anniversary /getaway. It was perfect. Roomy, cozy and so much attention to detail. Out of the hustle and bustle, however 5-10 minutes from everything. Will very likely stay here again

You won’t be disappointed!

The new owners of the old rafter J cabin are doing a phenomenal job! This is hands down our favorite home in Abilene to rent when we are in town for stock shows. The new owners made our girls feel like rockstars with a personalized message on the black board. Local Pastry’s that were AMAZING! We couldn’t recommend them more as owners/property managers. We will be back in September.

Family Get Together

Wife and I stayed here with our two son’s families for our Christmas get together. The property easily accommodated 3 couples and 3 grandchildren under 3. The property could have easily accommodated another adult couple. Every one had their own bathroom and television in their room. The kitchen had everything one might need to make meals. My family took advantage of the washer and dryer to clean kids clothes. The property had a nice game room for entertaining. The backyard was very nice and well lit at night. We chose the property because it was a little more secluded and not in town, but still close to shopping and restaurants.

Dove hunting weekend

The place is very large, very clean, good proximity from town. It was particularly nice to have a separate bathroom for each bedroom. On the whole, it was a great experience, and a very nice house to use for a long weekend. Few issues… We had a lot of trouble operating the television unable to find local TV for football. Maybe include directions? Unfortunately, the property is located on Highway 36, so road noise is a problem. However, the house makes up for the noise and is very quiet inside. Would definitely recommend and likely use again for a short weekend in Abilene.

Mark, so sorry you had trouble finding football! Both of the living area tv’s are equipped with an AppleTV device and have both YouTubeTV and ESPN+, each with the ability to “multi view” up to 4 games at the same time. One could have 8 games on at once! It’s one of the things I love about that house. I hate that you had trouble finding all that! Next time you guys stay I’ll be happy to show you how to access those apps.

Great location and Host!

We had another great stay at the B-Well Rafter J Lodge: A Family Gathering Place. The location is always clean and a great place to be. The host has always been super friendly and will reach out to check in to make sure the trip is going well!
