Perfect for all seasons, our lakefront cottage on Shawano Lake offers the ideal setting for summer fun, cozy winter escapes, and everything in between. Located on the south side of Shawano Lake, this modern, comfortable cottage features a private dock, flat walk-out access to the water, and amenities designed for families, couples, fishing trips, girls’ weekends, and year-round relaxation.

Enjoy fishing and swimming in the summer, snowmobiling and ice fishing in the winter, breathtaking sunset views, and stunning stargazing. With grocery stores, restaurants, breweries, golf courses, ATV/snowmobile trails, shops, and casinos just minutes away, convenience meets tranquility at this warm and welcoming retreat.

We enjoyed our stay at this little lake house on Shawano lake. It was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and our kids enjoyed the kayaks and "lily pad" that were on site.Full Kitchen & Washer/Dryer were also nice to have during our multi-night stay.

Loved this location for our family! Loved the pier for fishing but also having the lily pad for water activities was a huge hit! Host was kind and timely with any concerns. Neighbors on both side were very friendly. Highly recommend this location and hoping we can get this same house for our annual trip next year!

House was VERY clean and all the amenities anyone would need for a great stay. We stayed in the winter for ice fishing, but imagine that summer would be a terrific stay as well.

Beds were exactly as described. Lakeview was gorgeous. Everything was clean. The kitchen looked fully stocked, but we weren’t there much to use any of it. Everything looked like it had just been updated and was comfortable enough to crash and sleep heavy enough to start going again morning parking was easy. We were up there for an event at US air motorsports so we were not home much. Make sure you check out the night sky in the backyard. Communicating with the owners was very easy as they text you as well as contact you on here so if there are any issues, you just need to let them know.

The layout for this space was perfect, large kitchen and dining area, open concept, at one point we had 9 people playing cards at the kitchen table. Deck has plenty of seating. Sleeps 11 very comfortably upstairs. Sound machines and extra AC units in bedrooms was a great perk. Bathroom is beautiful and updated. We loved the kayaks and paddle boards, water is super clean but also super shallow. Best part of all was that I must have asked like 8 questions over the trip and every one was responded to within 2-3 minutes by the hosts! We are a family of adults and teens and loved our stay. Will definitely be back.

Great for families with small children

Our group, which included four small children, had a wonderful time. The location was perfect, and we enjoyed playing with water toys and kayaks outside and games and toys inside. The cottage definitely exceeded our expectations. We would certainly love to stay here again!

Cute Place, Great Town

We stayed here with our toddler. The accommodations for our toddler were wonderful. The house was clean, and the owners were so helpful.

Excellent Place, would stay again

We stayed here while ice fishing on Shawano Lake, the location provided excellent access to the lake. The house was incredibly clean and very modern. Would definitely recommend it and we are already looking forward to next year.

The place was very cute, plenty of room, and great location. The owners provided great communication and flexibility. It was perfect for our needs.

Great View and nicely refinished interior.

Had a great time at this property, very relaxing. Nicely remolded interior with full kitchen. Great place to get away with a lot of fun activities in the area. Highly recommend.

This was our second stay at the Sunset Escape. It is so peaceful and relaxing with a great sunset view. We love that we can rent a boat and tie it up on the dock. It has everything you need and is close to all Shawano has to offer. Communication with Kyle and Jenny is clear and fast.

Growing up, Jenny had this tradition where her grandparents snagged a cottage on Lake Winnebago for a week each summer. It was pure magic—games, swims, strolls, and laughter that echoed for days.

Now, we're thrilled to extend that same warmth to Shawano Lake and share it with you. Your vacation is a big deal for us, and we're here to make sure it's absolutely fantastic. We fell in love with this property when we first stepped foot on it. The house is beautiful and completely redone on the inside. Sitting on the deck and watching the sunsets is one of our favorite things to do. This place is perfect for families and has some special accommodations for the kiddos, including kids kitchenware, little potty seat, bathroom stepstool, toys and a waterslide on the dock. The water is shallow on our lot, perfect for little ones to play in the water. We hope everyone is able to have a piece of the lake life. The lot has a small hill by the road, but otherwise it is a flat walk from the house to the water, which was a must for us.
