Solid location and property for a weekend getaway with friends. Easy access to the river, tubing and a quick drive to downtown Berkeley. Check in was smooth, house had all the basic essentials, worry-free. Would stay again

Lovely clean home. The quiet neighborhood was wonderful . Wish water access was a bit closer, but you can't have everything.Would describe rent again.

We had a great time at the cabin. The property was very clean and cozy. We enjoyed the firepits and the river. The extra details like the lights outside, the color changing flowers and dragonfly were awesome too!!

Had a wonderful stay!

We loved this property in Great Cacapon, WV! The house was well kept and clean. Location was gorgeous. Best part of our trip was to be able to walk to the river, hammock out front and being able to relax in their beautiful backyard.

Winter wonderland by the river

We enjoyed our stay at Heron's Rest. The home was convenient for our visits to Great Cacapon State Park, Berkeley Springs Brewery, Cacapon Mountain Brewery, Cold Run Winery and various antique stores. The enclosed porch was a wonderful place to watch the snowfall. It was impeccably clean and a restful, quiet retreat.

House was great and location on the water is peaceful and lovely . It was a bit of Fall in the air - would have been great if there was any wood for the fire circles, or pellet stove worked, or info for the front porch fire table! Guessing it was due to start of a new season.Thanks for a nice getaway.

Herons Rest

What a great property to spend a weekend celebrating my daughter’s 30th birthday weekend. She wanted a quiet weekend away with friends to spend time playing games, watching movies, Sharing meals and relaxing. The deck and out door spaces gave us beautiful views and the cozy interior was spacious enough for us to all comfortably hang out together.. the kitchen was well equipped and overall the house was perfect for our weekend

This place had everything we were looking for. The practical functionality of the home was great (well-stocked kitchen, good mattresses, comfy furniture), but the ambiance was next-level. The beautiful view of the river from the deck was amazing. The big fire pit, picnic table, and rockers near the bank were just perfect. While the bank was steep, it was not too bad for our kids to walk down to the water, and the river was slow-moving enough at the bend for them to wade and splash around. The property felt very private and safe. Inside, the kitchen was comfortable to cook in, and there was plenty of seating indoors and out. There were a variety of games available for rainy days. The internet signal was excellent and reached nearly all the way out to the riverside rockers. This home was clean and well-cared for. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
