Beautiful home. Easy access and wonderful amenities. We especially loved the dock and being lakefront. Awesome grill and porch area that made for a great time during dinner. Highly recommend!

Great place and location

This is the perfect place for a group to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Right on the lake and close enough to town for anything you need. Beautiful scenery and a great house.

This house was awesome! The dock is in a little bay so we were able to use it with kids and not worry about main channel traffic!

Nice lake cove location. Plenty of room for families. If you bring your own boat, good place to dock. If you have a second boat, which we did, not an ideal situation with the owners boat on a lift.

Comfortable & Cozy for a lake weekend

Our family really enjoyed staying here. There was plenty of space for all of us and had everything you'd want in a lake front home - Views, easy access down to the water/dock, plenty of areas to gather. The dishwasher is quite finicky, but we were able to figure it out. Would certainly stay here again!

My family had a really great stay! The house is big and comfortable, with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for multiple family groups. The two porches that face the lake were well used for dinners, and below to sit and stay out of sun or rain. The side screened porch perfect for morning coffee. There is a gentle walk down the hill to the lake, unlike many other rentals that have very steep hills. The dock was great!! Lots of room for rafts, and chairs, and fishing, and fun. The cove is especially nice to paddle around in the water, as it is off the main drag speed boats, etc. There were some floaty donuts there, and having the kayaks was really nice. We brought paddle boards, they are ok to use during the week when the lake traffic is quieter, on the weekends there is a little too much motorboat traffic to comfortably paddle out and around on.The kitchen worked for our group of 6, however the island seating is a bit pinched. The large dining table inside (and out) more than made up for that. The electric cooktop is not great, some of the burners don't work too well, so it takes a long time to cook on. The oven was great; we only used the top one.The phone connection and internet are not really strong- but hey, you are there to get away- remember??? That said, we did have to walk up to the road a few times to make calls. No biggie.All in all, this is a really nice house, and certainly one that I would come to again.

Memorial Weekend

Great space for family to spread out and nice outdoor decks with screened in porch to relax. Amazing dock in cove, so nice and quiet. I would recommend this property.

Beautiful house with easy access to the dock/lake. Very chill and quiet neighborhood. Great swimming for the whole family right off the dock in the cove as well as excellent fishing; Bluegill, Rock Bass, Small Mouth Bass and Catfish!The house worked great as a central hub for surrounding activities such as the Biltmore Estate, Carowinds Park, Pisgah National Forest as well as some great local shopping and restaurants within a 15 minute drive.

Family Time = Happy Time!

This was a wonderful location for a family gathering. The house was comfortable and inviting, and we enjoyed the board games and books provided. We rented a boat for the week, so we spent a lot of time on the water enjoying the magnificent views. Lake James is not crowded so it was a very relaxing time together. We would highly recommend this location and this home.

House was dirty, gas grill was unusable, dishwasher had mold in it, also a couple of shower heads had mold, thermostat was locked couldn’t adjust temperature. No broom so we could sweep up. House needs some TLC

Finding the dishwasher, shower heads and grill in that condition is unacceptable, and I was deeply disappointed to learn our cleaning crew failed their pre-stay walkthrough. We value our guests' comfort above all else, which is why we moved quickly to refund your cleaning fee, deliver the missing amenities, and unlock the thermostat remotely as soon as you alerted us. Since your stay, we have addressed these maintenance issues and are working with a new cleaning oversight process to ensure this never happens again. We appreciate your patience while we worked to make things right, and we wish you the best in your future travels.

Lovely lake house

Clean lovely house on the lake. Our family stayed for to attend a family wedding in the area. Due to the recent flooding, the lake was not as accessible as we had hoped. But, the stay was still wonderful and the area beautiful. We had a great stay in Nebo. Thank you, Steve Ness

Family Christmas Vacation

The Lakehouse was Extremely Accommodating, & Had everything needed: Cooking, Plenty of everything to accommodate large families, Bedrooms, Boathouse / Dock ( although to chilly) for our stay, Great Views, Decks each level, 2 Fireplaces, Our Family of 11 enjoyed our stay to the fullest ! Family Thanksgiving Celebration

Our family members traveled from around the eastern US to celebrate Thanksgiving together. Our youngest was 9 months and our oldest was 90 years. The house was perfect for all of us!! We loved the decks, the indoor and outdoor fireplaces, the grill, the view, the location and the accommodations. Karen, the manager, could not have been more helpful and responsive. Great stay for all of us!💕

Beautiful Property

Beautiful Lake front property as listed. Plenty of room for 10 adults and then some (2 queen masters, 2 kings with shared RR, and 2 rooms with 2 twins each). Parking was not an issue for as many cars as needed. Easy boating experience on the “nice” side of the lake with quick access to local marina. Highly recommend for large parties.

Wonderful location and home

We had an air conditioner issue which was fixed in a day. We had to clean the grill for it to work. Other than those 2 small issues the trip was perfect. Would rent again and may next year.

Lake James Perfection

A lovely stay and very private! This home is well stocked and well situated on the lake, which btw is one of the cleanest in NC. Yes, you hear jet skis but they're on the bigger, wider channels. They aren't obnoxious on this home's deck like on some lakes. A nice indoor setup so that kids can be downstairs for their stuff and we adults can be upstairs.
