Cozy little lakeside cottage with AMAZING views of beautiful Clinton lake. Set on the front deck and listen to all the sounds of nature while watching all the activity on the lake!! What a great place to unwind. Serene and private setting. This peaceful country property will allow you to unwind and forget about all your worries of everyday life. Custom kitchen cabinets with quartz counter tops and an island large enough to seat 12. The kitchen is the front of the cottage so everyone can enjoy the view while cooking, dining or playing games. One bedroom and bathroom are found on main level and the remaining beds andsecond bedroomsre found in the walkout basement. This cottage is one you will book again and again.

We have plenty of boat trailer parking on the property. The property to the West is private property but feel free to park your boat outside the fence on either side of drive or backed in by dumpster. The yard is not fully fenced in.

The host was very responsive prior to and during the visit. The house held 7 adults (4 families) comfortably. The decor was cute.

We were very pleased with the house. It was so interesting with the decor. Every time you look you can see something different in the same rooms. The first night it rained constantly but we were cozy and comfortable. I would definitely come back.

Nice place,clean,great view, kitchen, some problems I had as a mobility problem person was lack on grab bars by toilets. Truck bed to high,couch to low. That's just me,I'm sure other people don't have same problem. Not far from from town. NICE PLACE!! Dogs loved the deck

Lake view, with limited access. You can find paths down to lake (one at east end of fence, one to the west of the driveway). Beach and boat access are miles away.

We loved the stay, great decor, relaxing getaway. Deck and living room windows have wonderful view of the lake. We made smores at the fire pit in the large yard. Our kids enjoyed the bedrooms and large comfy couch. 3 mintues to the beach and marina where we rented a pontoon. Would recommend

Staycation close to the lake

Our family rents a VBRO vacation rental every year for many years. We have always had beautiful homes in many different areas, Michigan City, Ottawa, Indiana, and other Midwest areas. But this lovely Charlie's Cottage , was the perfect place for our family this year. Beautifully decorated, beds and bedding, so comfortable, so very well supplied with everything you could need or want. We fell in love with the beautiful grounds, with its trails and well-maintained lawn, and fire pit!! We always have a good time but adding two small babies to our family this year, we are so grateful for how wonderful this lovely, comfortable, HOME served us this year, we cannot wait to go back NEXT year. Did I mention, this was the MOST reasonably priced home we have ever rented????

Great Getaway for Family Time

The deck and kitchen area are perfect for gathering with friends and family. Weather wasn't great for a fire at the firepit. View is awesome and peaceful!

Beautiful Lake House in the Country

The house was gorgeous and very cute. Our dog loved running around the yard and sniffing out the wildlife. House was well cared for and clean. The kitchen is well stocked.

Peaceful & Perfect

Everything about this home is comfortable and conducive to a relaxing time watching the lake and listening to the sounds of nature. The decor in the room truly embodies the nautical theme and really adds to the joy of the home. We were visiting family in the area and can't wait to return to stay in Charlie's Cottage.

Couples weekend

Charlie’s cottage was amazing. The house was so clean and comfortable. There were 6 of us and there was plenty of space for us. The cottage is very well stocked. If you are looking to shut off and relax this is the perfect place. The owners Susie and Steve very so quick to respond to question /suggestions. Would definitely rent here again.

Susie is from Clinton and has been a business owner in the area her entire adult life. Steve is from the Monmouth area making Dewitt County his home for the last 3 decades. We love traveling and staying in vacation rentals
Because they feel like home away from home! Clinton Lake is such an asset to our community we felt it was a logical place for a lakeside rental.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

We have admired this property for years so we jumped on the chance to purchase it when it came available. Great Lake views and love the sounds of happiness coming off the lake while enjoying the front deck.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Right in the middle of both the Marina and Mascoutin boat launches the perfect location for boaters, fisherman or just those that find peace in water views. Our family often walk across from the property and down the embankment to enjoy lake swims.
