Beautiful large space attached to hosts house, so if you need anything they are right there. Had everything we needed except a coffee pot, but we made do. Comfy beds, huge screened place to sit.

Girl vacation

The place was great. It was exactly as advertised, i loved hearing the birds chirpjng as i went yo bed as nd woke up. Its a little out of the way but that is part of the charm

Nice country retreat

It was nice to be surrounded by nature. Loved the maps with suggested activities from the owner. Pretty clean and tidy.

Overnight Stay

The Lanai and Bedroom was a good overnight stay. Clean and exactly what we were looking for. Location was not great. But we knew that when we booked. We did find a great restaurant in Pahoa Village. About a 5 minute drive from the property.

Nice get away. Loved the guitar.

Serene... my partner enjoyed playing guitar accompanied by choir of crocci frogs. Lots of space.

Great stay

We had a wonderful time there and even extended our stay one day in order to catch the latest volcano eruption in the national park. This was the perfect location for exploring the east side of Hawaii island. The beds were comfortable and the lanai was huge.

Clean place

Everything was good except that I didn't realize the see through glass doors for living room(It's already present in pictures but I overlooked). Host immediately fixed the issue we had with sink drain. Very calm and cozy place.

Unique experience

This property is as described. The hosts and her husband were helpful when we checked in making sure we were able to enter (even though we already had been given a code). Melanie was patient with my many questions prior to arrival. The property is kind of off the beat and path, but only about 45 minutes to an hour from Volcano National Park and was a good spot to explore Hilo and Rainbow Falls and Apoka Falls and the Tropical Botanical Gardens. It isn't a fancy place, if that's what you are looking for, this isn't it. It is comfortable and being in the rain forest is unique. The screened porch is a nice place to hang out. The bathroom is tiny, but functional. Some complained about the frogs croaking at night and keeping them up. The frogs did not bother us, but the rooster woke us up. It was just a fun and different experience and a GREAT value for the money. I would recommend this place.

Lots of flair, well thought out property with nice extras (bug spray, cooler for day use etc). This was our ‘home base’ for visiting the east side of the island and it worked well as a place to sleep. Room is in a neighborhood area with a rural feel. Relaxing frogs and birds to keep one company. Great communication from the manager. Would recommend as an affordable place to stay when doing full day trips in the area.

Excellent Paradise for the price!

We love staying here! Melanie is an excellent host. There have been several upgrades since the last time we stayed. There is now a small ensuite in the room! It's a private getaway. Perfect! We'll return again

Varför värden valde detta boende

Puna Luna is very much a "Hawaiian Style" home in a very quiet neighborhood. It used to be a honey processing farm in the late 70's and it has a bit of character with some great vibes. The Lanai (meaning screened porch) is our favorite part of the place and we think you will like it too.
