We loved this little cottage. It was very clean and organized and the location was great!! It was nice to have space to relax and not be stuck in a small hotel room.

Beautiful home, immaculate. Host was very attentive and made some wonderful exceptions for us. View of the bay and the sunsets were spectacular! Kitchen is very well stocked. Beds were comfy and the decor was so tasteful. Thank you! We had a lovely stay.

Really enjoyed our stay for Parents Weekend with our Son on leave from the United States Merchant Marine Academy. Delightful location. didn't get to enjoy teh outside as much due to some rain, but wonderful outdoor facilities. Woudl definitly stay again.

Look No Further! Such and amazing find. The host was lovely to work with and the property stunning. A homey coastal cottage that offered something for everyone. Comfy beds, board games and puzzles, huge flat screen and TV and cozy blankets for cool mornings. If you have small children the play house in the backyard is a dream and the beach pass that is provided gives access to a great family beach for swimming or looking for shells. Super easy walk to town and a great restaurant, Harbor Mist, a block away. This place has it all!

The Captain’s Cottage was a perfect weekend getaway. The views were picturesque, the surrounding area and ambiance was quite peaceful, and the home itself was superbly clean, cozy and exquisite. The attention to detail was duly noted, as every room, and nook in the house offered something unique and special, inviting each guest into a feeling of warmth and coziness.

The house was cozy and so close to our wedding visit and my lovely hometown septic odor was horrid downstairs. No explanations of how and where things worked

Nice place!

We have rented a number of places on VRBO and this is our favorite. It was charming, clean and spacious. We don't have small children but if we did this would be perfect with a game room downstairs and an outdoor playhouse. Would definitely return!

Wonderful stay!

The captain cottage was exactly what Mom and I wanted! Beautiful views of the bay,super easy five minute walk to the main street of Cold Spring Harbor, adorable house with everything you need, and Kim was on top of it every time we neededhelp. Thank you so much for hosting us and cannot wait to be back!

Capt’s Cottage - home away from home

Great location. Perfect house to gather with family -easy walk to charming village and local park - within driving distance of all the places we needed to visit. Kitchen has all amenities and living area is very cozy!

Exceptional!

It became a short retreat into beauty and quiet just for myself. This my 2nd time around. Kim and George are exceptional hosts and purveyors of life! They inspire your senses in every way each day you find something new to discover in this exquisitely detailed lovingly assembled abode. It’s remarkable how many crevices draw you in even the children’s play parlor. Lol! Yep was in there as well -true story! There is no comparison. It’s worth every cent! I was so blessed and renewed !
