charmig stuga belägen på en knoll, omgiven av tunnland av lugn jordbruksmark, med skog och bäck. Öster- och västläge verandor har utsikt över oavbruten pastoral utsikt. Stugan har nyligen renoverats samtidigt som den bibehåller sin ursprungliga karaktär med trägolv överallt. Nedervåningen inkluderar vardagsrum, matsal, kök, badrum och sovrum med dubbelsäng. På övervåningen finns två underbara sovrum under takfoten. Ett rum har två enkelsängar, det andra ett dubbelrum.

A memorable stay made new friends. The cottage was like Home. I did not want leave everything. Everyone was most accommodating. The host went out of her way to help me in my quest looking for property. Beautiful garden, beautiful scenery. A high point of my stay was siding two bears. I will be back.

Comfortable cottage in tranquil countryside

Our stay in this cottage was perfect. The picturesque setting was amazing and we enjoyed interacting with our bird and cow neighbors. There are lots of trails that we enjoyed exploring on our host’s property. But most of all, we enjoyed the English hospitality of our host Teresa who prepared a flower arrangement and carrot bread for our arrival. We will return again soon. RuthGardner, Staunton , VA

It was fabulous. So nice and relaxing to have coffee on the porch and enjoy the cool mornings. To see the many deer walking around the property and coming up the road. Hearing the cows in the fields. The owner has a wonderful personality and is so talented, from cooking, to the fresh cut flowers in the home upon arrival. Seeing her garden and all the beautiful flowers she had planted. It was just a great weekend and we enjoyed it so much. We really wanted to stay. I’ll definitely be going back and spending more time.. the property alone is worth walking through. It’s definitely a paradise.

Dugspur Country Farmstead

Wonderful early November stay in beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in Carroll County, Va. Great quiet getaway in true countryside. We loved it. Authentic and relaxing. I love this stay. The Palmer’s are great hosts too. Thanks!

Lovely Stay

We loved our weekend getaway. I will say it was a little colder than we expected and the only heat was plug in radiators. Overall a fantastic trip and Theresa was incredibly kind.

So Cozy!

Lovely quiet cottage

If you want some peace and quiet, with no traffic,you need to stay here. Theresa, the owner, is very polite and accommodating. She had cookies, and fresh flowers waiting for us.

Escape to the country

We had a lovely stay in this cottage. The views are soul filling, beds are comfortable, and decor is full of homemade charm. We met dogs, sheep, cows and deer along with friendly hosts and neighbors. We plan to come back.

Uncomplicated in a very positive way

4th of July get away

The cottage lived up to it's name. Simply Charming cottage. The setting was beautiful. Owner were very attentive. Love the carrot cake that was waiting for us. We will be back!

Great Farmhouse for Family Time

The farmhouse was exactly what we were looking for to enjoy some relaxing family time. No frills pushed the whole family outside. Theresa was a wonderful host and showed us around the property. My kids loved the freedom of running the property, playing with Theresa’s dogs, canoeing in the pond, and catching fireflies. If you are looking for time away, this is a great spot!

Owners Brian & Theresa Palmer designers from the UK. We moved to the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains 10 years ago. Knoll cottage is situated across the field from our home and studio. We enjoy walking the hundred acres of pasture and woodland, and our guests are welcome to do the same. We often bike the New River Trail and are happy to let the guests have the use of four bicycles as well as canoe and kayak. We are keen gardeners and raise our own organic vegetables. Weekends are spent mainly outside enjoying the peace and beauty of the surrounding area.
