Cozy All Season Lakeside Cottage

Whether you’re looking for a summer getaway for the family with a spacious yard and excellent waterfront, a fall time hunting/fishing cabin, or even a cozy place to stay during your northern snowmobiling adventures... this is the cottage for you! Located directly on the snowmobile trail and just miles from the entrance to the North Maine Woods, this is as conveniently located as you can get. 9 hole golf course, family restaurant, and a gas station/general store all two miles or less away!

The space:
1100 sq/ft two bedroom all season lakeside cottage close to many desirable destinations for all outdoor enthusiasts including hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and other outdoor recreations.

Guest access:
Everything is available for guest use aside from the storage shed and garage.

Other things to note:
The entrance of the driveway is shared with my neighbor before turning into my private drive.

Wonderful get away with a friend from away

Dustin was a perfect host. He responded quickly and kindly with every interaction. The place was clean and well stocked and even had plenty of games and water things. The beds are comfortable and there are nice sitting areas outside. Theres a lot to see in the area so we spent some days traveling about and a couple just hanging around the camp. It was a great week and nice to be in a comfy place that felt like home.

A small piece of heaven in Maine

I cannot rave enough about our stay in Portage Lake. The cabin was easy to find, clean, and loaded with anything we could need for our stay. The water area is rocky and nice. The area is beautiful. I could have sat at some of the scenic lookouts for hours. We had a great view of the sky at night for our telescope! I cannot recommend this cabin more!

This lakeside cottage is charming and cozy, clean and comfortable, and well equipped. There is a nice lake view from the deck which is very relaxing.

Quintessential Maine Cottage. Extremely clean, appropriate supplies readily available.

Our experience was perfect. From my first point of contact with Dustin until our last communication after we left. He was responsive and kind. There were 4 adults and we found the cottage to be spacious enough and extremely relaxing. My Dad commented several times that he’d love to come back. There was plenty of supplies available. We didn’t find ourselves needing anything that wasn’t already there. We could hear the loons on the lake and we saw the Milky Way amongst the starry night. Just amazing! Highly recommend!

Beautiful Location & Cozy Cottage

When we arrived we were pleased with the location of the cottage, not far from town, but removed from any traffic, the beautiful scenery of Portage Lake, the charm of the cottage and friendliness of the neighbors, and the ease of communication with the owner, Dustin!
