We loved this house! Everything was so comfortable and nice! Extra blankets, towels, shampoo etc. Everything you need! Walt met us at property right after we landed at airport. It was so nice not to have to wait for check in time. This location is superb for getting around area! Neighborhood is lovely and safe.

Perfection

This property is clean, comfortable, well supplied, and beautiful. We would stay here again. The area is safe, walkable, and has lots of activities at the accessible beach club. The restaurant on the lake was all outdoor seating, the staff attentive, and the food good. I Highly recommend this property.

Well stocked and convenient! Comforts of home!

Great place to stay in Tempe area. We came for a baseball tournament and it was convenient to get to the various fields we needed to travel to. Neighborhood was nice and safe. House was perfect for our needs and Walt and his sister seemed to have thought of everything we could need from extra water to spices and instant coffee in the cabinet and towels and even fans (didn’t need as A/C worked fine!). I was able to work remotely for the week. WiFi worked well for video conference calls. I would stay here again if in the area! Highly recommend! Thanks again Walt!!

This was one of the best stocked VRBO we have ever stayed in. Plenty of paper goods, dishwasher and laundry detergents, etc. Beautiful view of the lake. Will definitely stay there again.

I loved staying at this home! Everything was so comfortable. The beds are great and the couch to watch tv on is great. Walt is so helpful and greeted us to give us the run down. We enjoyed everything this property offered and can’t wait to go back. Sitting on his back deck having morning coffee was exactly what I needed!

Awesome house and location

We loved the property and the convenience of the tennis club/pool and restaurants within easy walking distance. The house was large and well decorated. It was stocked with pretty much everything we needed, which was so nice. Having the pontoon to troll around on was really fun and our family was out on that a couple of times each day! I highly recommend booking this house!

Time for a refresh

Convenient location and nice neighborhood. Easy access to highway, shopping and eateries. The unit was clean. Good communication with owner. We appreciated that he greeted us upon arrival and explained pontoon boat usage and a few other details. The linens and towels were adequately stocked. Beds were of varying comfort levels. Not what we would consider a “foodie” kitchen. Plenty of dishes, cups, silverware and Teflon pans, but not much in the way of cooking supplies. We expected more than a few spices and old coffee maker. No blender or mixer. Time for some maintenance and updates. Most of the overhead lights were missing bulbs or they were burned out. The pontoon boat awning and lights are held together with duct tape and bungee cords. Massage chair doesn’t work.

Great stay!

We chose this property for location to a seminar that our husbands were attending. It was super convenient. The area is beautiful and the neighborhood on the water was older but still vibrant. There are numerous great restaurants near by. This property wasn’t fancy but it was very clean and extremely well equipped. The kitchen had everything you could ever want. There were tons of pillows, blankets, towels, etc. Beds were comfortable, the one I slept was almost too firm, but we slept well. The weather in Tempe was brutally hot! The downstairs area stayed super cool. Up stairs wasn’t as cool, but, again we slept well so it was cool enough. There is an old pontoon that is powered by a small electric motor. It is super slow, but, we enjoyed a little ride over to the restaurant. Overall, it was a great stay. We would be happy to stay again when our guys come back for another class.

Great location and great amenities

The furnishings were comfortable, and everything you might need was supplied. The kitchen was very well equipped and printed instructions were easy to follow. One bed was less comfortable than the others, but good for someone needing firm support. The only issue we encountered was the internet going down frequently the last few days of our stay. It was a provider problem as the owner tried numerous times to get it restored.

We had a fabulous stay! Beds were comfortable, plenty of supplies. Well stocked kitchen, towels, linens etc. pontoon boat was a great addition, was nice to go to the restaurant on the pontoon. Enjoyed every area of the patio. Very comfortable and well kept and close to so many things. Would definitely stay here again!

Easter 2021

Beautiful house in a quiet neighborhood and the water view is very special. The bedrooms were wonderful with comfortable king size beds and an air mattress we used in the living room. We loved sitting on the back patio visiting and eating at the patio table that had plenty of room for everyone. We enjoyed the Club house pool that is just down the street. The pontoon boat was nice addition but I was expecting it to be fully functional. (the steering is jerry rigged and the trolling motors are way under powered). Two additional issues that need repaired: two of the toilets need new tank fillers and all of the sliding glass door locks need to be repaired.

Whenever people were at my house they always told me they felt like they were on vacation. Over the years I had stayed at quite a few vacation rentals in Laguna Beach California, which gave me a good idea of how vacation rentals worked. So a few years back I started remodeling the house with the idea of it being 1st class, in case I ever wanted to turn it into a vacation rental. So when the economy collapsed and china ruined the furniture business, I closed my furniture manufacturing business of 20 years and I started renting out the house. Now I really enjoy it. I have met lots of really cool and interesting people, and its cool knowing they really enjoyed the home while they were here.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Most people that have stayed at the home have told me that taking the boat out during both the day and night was their favorite and most relaxing part of their vacation. This includes people that have gone to the grand canyon, sedona and many other beautiful parts of Arizona. The lake has over 5 miles of shoreline and just about every home on it is unique and different, which makes for a very scenic and relaxing experience. The developer of the community was from Newport Beach California and wanted it to look like balboa peninsula in newport. The results 40 years later are stunning, because unlike almost anywhere else in Phoenix the area, it is lush and green with waterviews through out. You would never know your in the desert. Clubhouse is available with many features.
