Cute and Comfy

We stayed here for a Bachelorette weekend on 7/14-7/16. It was a cute little apartment that accommodated 6 of us perfectly. We were about 10 minutes from the beach and it was easy to get an Uber quickly to get to the boardwalk and local restaurants. If you are going for a fun weekend getaway, just a fair warning, the walls are very thin. We did not realize this until later Friday night. Everything else was great! 🙂

Gillade: Renlighet och plats

Acceptable

If you ever wondered where recycled appliances go… we found them. They weren’t pretty but seemingly worked. The couch was horribly uncomfortable and it rained the one night we were there. Unfortunately we weren’t able to sit and relax to watch a movie because the cheap pleather and small couch just wasn’t going to cut it. There were no TVs in the bedrooms so we were stuck playing on our phones. If you are like me and like pleasing esthetics, you will be disappointed. The paint job in the place was absolutely ridiculous. So lazily done. It was so bad it was actually distracting. It’s clear this is just another make money quick turnover vacation spot owned by a management company. I will say it was extremely clean.

Has potential

While the layout and open space of this rental was great, there were a few disappointments. Prior to my arrival, I received a phone call indicating that one of the showers was not working. In picking this rental, two working bathrooms was key. I was told I would receive a call the second day of my arrival about possible repair, but never received that call. Also when we arrived, one of the fire detectors was beeping and they were located on very high ceilings. We managed to disconnect it, assuming maintenance would be arriving to repair the shower and could replace the battery in the detector. However, as previously mentioned, they never came. This could be a great rental and it looks as though updates are in process, but it could use some additional work.

Work in progress??

The convenience, layout, and price were good. We had good communication prior to checking in, the on-call person even called to tell us about some work in the parking lot ahead of time! But the condo seemed like it was in the middle of renovation. The walls were half painted and the master shower was broken. We texted the on-call person to let them know about the shower not working and never heard back. The place had been cleaned before we got there, but overall our experience was not as great as we hoped.

Staying at Sandpiper

We booked the stay at Sandpiper pretty last minute. The place itself is as described. Close to the beaches, restaurants and outlets. It appears very modern in the picture. It is certainly very much the same and I didn't have any complaints about the condition of everything, just simply some cosmetic needs. To cite a few, the place looks like it was recently in the process of touching up paint spots on the walls. It is very noticeable in some places and there are quite a few places where this is clearly visible. The burners on the oven were fine but the actual oven didn't appear to be useable. It may have been operational, but the inside didn't seem as well kept as the other appliances. The place does have convenient washer and dryer. The dryer has no handle to open the door, so it took a little bit of figuring out. Finally, the directions to get in had a gate code for entry. This was true for one side, but the side by the Wawa has both gates open at all times and you can drive right in. In the end, we enjoyed our stay and none of these things contributed to making or breaking the overall stay. It was close to everything and very convenient to get checked in and out with no hassle of going to an office. The place sleeps 6 people comfortably, has multiple bathrooms and closet space, and a lot of items to make and keep food for meals you want to eat in.
