Appalachian Trail Hike base

Friends and I stayed here as it was the closet to where we needed to be for helping our boys in their hike on the Appalachian Trail. Clayton was the perfect little town with places to eat and explore and allowed us to be close by when the boys needed to picked up and dropped off. Would definitely recommend if you want to get away in the mountains of Georgia!

Peaceful getaway10 mins from great little town of Clayton

Gerred's place is in a very quiet and secluded area just 10 mins from a great little town. I recommend popping into a little shop called Wander. We had a small issue getting into the house, and even though it was kind of late, Gerred answered his phone immediately and was able to remotely get us in. There was plenty of space for 6 of us and everything was very clean. The kitchen had every tool we needed to cook for the kids and there were 2 grocery stores within 10 mins. This house was a great central location to everything we wanted to do during our visit. We took the kids snow tubing in Highland, visited 2 waterfalls, and went to Helen for a day. It was so wonderful returning to the cabin each night to relax. Highly recommend Gerred's place!

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

Located just minutes from downtown Clayton, this cozy cabin in the woods is a great retreat for couples or families. It's perfect for a romantic getaway, or for those who want to explore the small town of Clayton's shops and restaurants.

The cabin has three bedrooms, two bathrooms - and can sleep up to eight people. The living room has a charming, antique fireplace where you can cozy up with a cup of hot chocolate or a glass of wine.

The kitchen comes with everything you need to cook up your favorite meals - pots, pans, utensils and more! And if you have extra guests staying over, we've got an airbed and bed linens available if needed.

There are plenty of activities in the area to keep everyone entertained -Tallulah Gorge is a great place for hiking, and Tiger, GA has goats on the roof! There are also vineyards, breweries & distilleries very close by.

The spiral staircase is one of our favorite parts of this house. We love the ability to get away from it all, and the peace of the mountain is the best!
