Charming lakeside cottage to watch nature play

We love our cottage because it's set right in the quaint little town - a hop skip and jump to the bakery, ice cream and coffee shops and great little restaurants but feels extremely private. The views from our cozy front porch make us never want to leave. We get a regular show of ever changing wildlife. The neighborhood is friendly, quiet and safe. My friends say it reminds them of a place a Hallmark movie would be made, and then... a movie was made next door this past winter :)

The beds are comfy and decor is modern but
homey. Fishing is right out the front door. In the evenings, we cast a line from the shore.

Charming cottage with covered porch that lived up to my expectations. Even the cooler than usual temps did not hinder our enjoyment.Hoping to plan another trip tp this area next year - and will be booking again.

It was another successful and enjoyable girls weekend. The home is so welcoming. The decor is charming. It was well equipped and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and were perfect for sleeping in. Though the weather was a bit cool, we still enjoyed time on the porch facing the lake. we all just grabbed a blanket and made ourselves at home. The homeowner was wonderful to work with also. Had no problems with communication. She checked in to make sure that everything was going well and asked if there was anything that she could help us with. she also gave us a bunch of suggestions for things to do on the way to the cabin and while we were at the cabin. If we ever decide to do the waterfalls again in that part of the state, we will certainly reach out and request this home.

Property is exactly as advertised. Nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. VERY quiet neighborhood. Bluejays and Orioles are common visitors to the feeders. Outdoor gas grill could use some fresh lava rocks, but overall excellent property.

Lovely Place

Secluded jewel

The cottage was very clean and inviting, with beautiful decor and special touches. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was very well outfitted, at a beautiful location. All of which made for a memorable experience.

Wonderful stay!

Our stay was incredible! The location on the lake was amazing and allowed our family time to play in the snow. The house is so inviting and we felt at home from the moment we walked in the door. Carmen was a phenomenal host, and we thank her so being so gracious.

Charming

Our group of 4 enjoyed the charm, comfort , and beauty. The porch and campfire area are private oases with stunning scenery. We walked to the local pub for a delicious old fashioned.

VRBO LAKESIDE

This is a hidden gem. Beautiful 3 bedroom with the cutest decor, fully functional kitchen, air conditioned, front and back porch, TV, games, scented soaps, ; even Brita water filter pitcher! Walking distance to bakery, coffee shop, restaurant. Carmen could not have been nicer to work with. I love the town of Florence. The people are exceptionally nice.

Cute Cottage

We enjoyed the solitude of this home. it was clean and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was fairly well supplied. The only problem was the sound of the ATV park accross the lake and the semi trucks ocassionaly going through town. I was disappointed that the lake was not swimable...I should have asked that before booking - my fault. All in all, nice place to stay and the owner was easy to work with!

Wonderful rental and area

This rental is one of the best VRBO's we have stayed at. The home is well maintained, clean and tastefully decorated. Very comfortable. Very nice kitchen. (I do not cook on vacation (!) so cannot comment but it seemed very well equipped). Master bedroom bed very comfortable ! Very quiet neighborhood and you are very close to town with great bakery, Michaela Mays and a very cute ice cream shop. Barb's Cafe great for breakfast. The cottage has beautiful lake views and a great porch to enjoy the views from. Fenced in back yard is also nice. The Florence county area is great for hiking, water activity (canoes, kayaks, etc.), rapids and waterfalls. We are already looking forward to coming back. We would definitely recommend.

Great View

Sitting on the porch looking at the lake in the morning with a cup of coffee here is just perfect. Brought the family up for a small vacation before going back to school and had an amazing time. Fishing is good. Beds are comfortable. The place is just wonderful. Will definitely be staying again.

Lakeside cottage

We really enjoyed our stay and had a fun time exploring the area. House has everything you need and there is nothing better than enjoying your morning coffee with a lake view and hummingbirds. :)
