5 star experience

This was an outstanding property. The house was clean and beautifully decorated with exceptional attention to detail. The bathrooms were modern and efficient and the beds extremely comfortable. The kitchen was superbly equipped. We enjoyed the peace and quiet walking along the private beach at the end of the garden and enjoyed visiting some of the pretty towns in the local vicinity. A terrific rental and extremely helpful hosts.

Beautiful property - highly recommend

We really enjoyed our stay at Heart Rock House! There was more than enough room for the 4 of us, and would be great for a family. The amenities were amazing. The kitchen was fully stocked...everything we needed for cooking. The home is beautifully furnished and exquisitely decorated. Jason was a responsive host...always getting back to me promptly. A short 5 minute walk will get you down to the beach. It was November, so no swimming for me, but it would be great in the summer months! And who said the East coast doesn't have sunsets!? I saw a beautiful sunset over the ocean by simply turning to the right. It was about a 3.5 hour drive up from Boston, and only another hour up to Acadia National Park for a day trip there. Plenty of cute port towns to get some amazing lobster/seafood. I highly recommend this property if you want a nice place to stay in Maine!

Stunning Cottage

My wife and I stayed here three nights and were blown away by the beauty and attention to details of the place. Everything was clean, comfortable, convenient, and well thought out. The host was friendly and welcoming and the check in process was very easy. The beds were comfortable—as was everything else, and the beach, which was just a short walk away, was amazing. I highly recommend this place. I told the host it was one of the nicest vacation homes we’ve ever stayed in.

Coastal Maine Convenience

Property was well appointed, had everything you expect and much more! Very clean, easy, beautiful drive north to Acadia and south to great other coastal towns. Jason was very responsive and hosts provided an amazing book with everything you want to know.

Beautiful, Comfortable Home

We had a great stay in this lovely home. We stayed for our daughters wedding at Moose Point State park, and the location was so convenient, just a couple minutes and we were there! The big windows let in so mush light gave us a lovely view of the gardens wildflowers

Perfect

This house was perfectly located, clean, and well appointed. I was so comfortable there and loved the extra blankets, coffee left for me, and the water pressure in the shower! The neighborhood was quiet and there is a short path down to the huge beautiful private beach where I watched the sunset. Loved it, will be back.

Perfect little house!

My mother and her 4 adult daughters on an annual winter get away! We loved the house and all the amenities. The location was perfect! We were hoping to go to Rio’s for dinner but it was closed so we went to the Homeport Tavern and loved it! Wonderful visit wonderful host!! Elisabeth

Great stay in Searsport!

We had a wonderful weekend at the Heart Rock Cottage. Perfect location for visiting with our family in Belfast and skiing at the Camden Snow Bowl. House is very clean, beautifully decorated and beds are very comfortable. Owners have thought of everything and take great pride in their home. Thank you!

Perfect family getaway!

This house was perfect for what our family was looking for! It was a great home base with kids for our vacation as we traveled around to the different towns and places in Maine like Acadia, Bar Harbor, etc. It was clean and comfortable from the moment we got there and our 2 year old daughter found the toys and kid plates right away! This was a huge plus for us. We loved playing in the grassy backyard and the short walk to the beach was even better than we were thinking. We got some amazing family pictures and the kids loved looking for shells and rocks. Our weather was perfect and it was even better that we got to watch the trees change color by the day! The communication with the host was great and we truly enjoyed our time at the Heart Rock House!

The Heart Rock House was even better than advertised! The pictures were beautiful but the real thing will blow you away! The location was a perfect spot to launch our excursions to Belfast (really could have walked there), Camden, Rockland, and Booth Bay. It also was amazing to return to after the days travels as it was so warm and welcoming - which was appreciated on the rainy days. The walk to the beach is short and the steps with the railing to the sand made it accessible for everyone. At low tide the beach gets pretty expansive and is a great place to sip coffee and walk and pick up sea glass! The house was perfect! Coming from being a previous property owner I can appreciate the touches the owners put on this house. The kitchen was very well appointed and we made some great meals. It is so well designed and beautiful. The house itself was very comfortable to lounge and read a book or play any of the games provided. There was plenty of space for 4 adults. The beds were all very comfortable and the rooms spacious so everyone could spread out and have their own space. The house is also very accessible. My elderly mother traveled with us and walks with walking sticks or a cane all the time and there was only one step up into the house and in the master there is a step in shower. She loved that aspect. If it was not raining so much we would have for sure taken advantage of the fire pit and the supplied beach chairs!

Wonderful location.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The location is great for exploring the area and for enjoying a peaceful walk on the beach. The home is very nice and very comfortable. Jason was wonderful and made sure that everything was taken care of so the we would have a great experience. I would highly recommend a stay here and would stay again if in the area.

Beau séjour

Nous avons passé du bon temps à Searsport. La plage privée est vraiment jolie. Merci à Jason qui est un hôte très attentif tout est bien expliqué dans cette maison très confortable et jolie. Je crois qu’avec le temps un peu plus d’intimité sur le terrain serait vraiment bien. Je conseille cette maison à proximité de parcs, Belfast, Camden.

Amazing vacation

Can’t say enough about our stay. The house was so modern and clean and plenty of space for my family of 4. The pics of the beach doesn’t do it justice for the real thing. Steps away and so secluded and relaxing. The location of the house was great too, so close to cute towns of Belfast and Camden. Also not far from Bar Harbor and Acadia! Perfect family vacation and we hope to come back again one day.

Excellent location for exploring mid-coast Maine

We stayed here with our three kids, ages 7 and 16. The proximity to the private beach was a huge selling point and it didn’t disappoint. At low tide there is an expansive beach that has all kinds of treasures. Bar Harbor is about an hour away and going down to Camden and other mid-coast towns was an easy drive. The house was well equipped and made for a very enjoyable and relaxing stay. Beds were comfortable and we really enjoyed cooking in the kitchen. Thank you for a great family vacation spot!

Great stay!

Everything was exactly as said and better! Beach was a quick walk and private. Having so much supplied for our stay made it much easier and less stressful when we packed the car. The owner was very quick in responding. I would stay again for sure! Thank you so much for making our first VRBO stay perfect!

MAINE thoughts - almost heaven!

We stayed in this house over Christmas - in addition to all the other lovely details, the Christmas decorations were beyond wonderful. We felt right at home! The house is exactly as shown on the website. The week flew by and we will be happy to come back. - The host was responsive at all times and when we had a two-day power outage due to the storm, he took care of alternatives and was also promptly there in a pinch. In addition to being close to the beautiful town of Belafast, we really enjoyed the walking distance to Moose State Park and its beautiful beach. A destination worth visiting! If you are considering this house: book it!

Beautifully decorated cabin

Well stocked cabinets, and passionately decorated. We did not know how to recycle - more information on that would be appreciated. Close to a beautiful secluded beach, 2 minute walk. Relatively close to Acadia. Overall highly recommend.

Growing up, Jason and I admired from afar those special Maine spots that provided a respite from the hustle & bustle of daily life - “upta camp” getaways where folks gathered for family fun. It’s long been our dream to acquire a home near the ocean, but with Maine’s sought-after coastline, we wondered if that dream could become a reality. In November of 2020, this darling Searsport ranch presented itself to us as an opportunity to make a move on bringing our vision to fruition. Built in 1980 and without updates since its inception, these digs needed some TLC, but the idea of a cozy, colorful cottage was easy to imagine, and it was love at first sight. After seeing the house for the first time, we all took a walk down to the beach and moments after doing so, what did we find? A heart-shaped rock - something our family spends countless hours doing whenever we find our feet in the sand. Like a nod from the cosmos, this was confirmation that we were in the right place! Since that day, we’ve poured our love into this home, refreshing, revamping & restoring every detail. The end result is a modern, fully-equipped happy house that serves as a beautiful backdrop for making memories.
