The home and the location were beautiful.The hosts have thought of everything we could have possibly wanted or needed. One of our best rental experiences we’ve had and will definitely be returning. As a bonus the local town was filled with charming shops and restaurants and also charming people.10 out of 10!

Excellent vacation spot! Beautiful, clean and homey, it didn’t feel like a rental. Our hosts were great, answered all my questions I needed answered. The pool was my favorite place, although the fishing was good and all enjoyed the fire pit. Urbana is a quaint town we also enjoyed.I would highly recommend this listing.

We had an amazing time at this Virginia oasis. Kayaks, fishing, pool, crabbing, pool table and beautiful accommodations helped deliver an amazing family get away. The host was communicative and helpful. Would recommend highly to anyone.

We hope to stay here again. The home is immaculate, beautifully decorated, and has so many wonderful amenities! The pool is spectacular and the screened in porch is a wonderful place to relax. The upstairs bonus room was such a nice surprise. Internet is top notch. If you need to work during your stay, the office in the bonus room is perfect. I can not say enough about the hosts! They are so welcoming and accommodating that you truly feel like a guest in their home. We recommend this home 100%, book now, you will have the best vacation ever!!

We had the pleasure of staying here for almost a week, and it was nothing short of amazing. The house has everything you can think of, the beds/pillows are ACTUALLY comfortable, the property was immaculate, and the hosts are soo sweet. Pretty sure I could talk to Janet all day lol. You can see the sunset off the dock to the left of the property. We really enjoyed the pool/kayaks. My boys had to so much fishing and on the pool table! As moms, we find it really hard to actually relax.. This place will make you do just that. We encountered a pelican, lots of beautiful birds at their birdbox including a woodpecker, 2 groundhogs, and an owl. The house is close to many shops and restaurants. Very quiet area.

Urbanna Waterfront Retreat

My family has vacationed in many different places over the last 45 years and accommodations have included hotels, condos, resorts and beach houses from Florida to Virginia. Since my retirement several years ago, we decided to avoid the hustle and bustle and return to my roots as a "river rat" (having spent my summers on the Potomac River) with a more laid-back vacation experience in similar surroundings near the Rappahannock River. My daughter found the Kelly's river house near Urbanna on VRBO and we decided to give it a try. It could not have been a better decision. The Host's thought of everything and more. The house was immaculate, amazingly well furnished and exactly as presented in the VRBO description and photos with everything you need to have a relaxing visit. And as my teenage granddaughters will attest, the inground pool is fantastic. It is truly a home away from home, and the Kelly's were the perfect hosts responding quickly to any questions we had. We had a great time and will, hopefully, return in the future.

What an amazing vacation spot for your family

The pictures do not give this property the justice us deserves! Such an incredible place to vacation with your family. The house is beautiful, the view is amazing and the pool is just icing on the cake! The hosts were so accommodating and thought of everything to make our stay feel like home. They went above and beyond! This is a boater’s dream area. So quiet, you feel like you have the River to yourself. We brought our boat and had an incredible stay. Our highlights: the kids fishing off the dock, crabbing, paddle boarding, night swimming in the “purple pool”, teaching our kids to play pool in the game room at night. No need to ever leave the property but if you do, the town is charming! My daughter proudly wore home the “I love Urbanna” pin the owners graciously gifted. So many memories made! Can’t thank the hosts enough. Only suggestions: one TV for our family was a little hard, would have loved to see one in the game room. If bugs love you like they do me, they will carry you away! Not sure what could be done about that except for maybe spraying, but the screen porch really helped. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We do have Mosquito Squad come regularly in season to protect against mosquitos and ticks. We haven't had a problem with them but thank you for pointing that out. We will look into that!! This is our first season owning and renting this home so the plan is to add a TV in the future. So glad you were able to bring your boat. Please come back and visit next season! Dolphins in the Creek!

Our family had an amazing time at this property. The house was spotless and met all our needs for a quiet week of relaxation. The owners were very responsive to our questions and even added a children’s kayak after learning that our family of four was interested in kayaking on the river during our stay. They also took care of so many little things that we’re not accustomed to in homes that we’ve previously rented. Soaps, paper products, kitchen essentials, it was all there. The pool was an excellent size for swimming laps and having fun and the pool table was an added bonus when we wanted to get out of the heat. While there is a marina across the creek, there was very little noise or boat traffic. Our kids were probably the loudest thing around. Our week came to a close with a nice surprise. We had just gotten into the water for a morning kayaking adventure when we were visited by a school of dolphins. We spent about 30 minutes with dolphins swimming around us. Definitely a highlight of the trip! If you’re not into boating or kayaking, the dock still provides a nice spot to watch the sun set (or check for dolphins). The house sits on Remlik Farm, which has an interesting history. You can take a walk or a drive around the roads of the farm to see remnants of the old horse farm and race track. While you’re definitely off the beaten trail, we felt safe throughout our stay. We even ran into the local Sheriff patrolling the streets of the farm while we were taking a walk an

You were the lucky first to have your kayaking experience with the dolphins! So neat that it lasted so long. We were happy to accommodate you and get you the child size kayak, it was our pleasure to make your stay better. This was our first season renting this property and we tried to think of everything.
