4 bedroom 2 bath house with fenced yard. Close to downtown and U of I

2 bedrooms located on the main floor with the full bathroom, living room and kitchen area. Laundry also on main floor. Woodstove on main floor as well, and heats the place up really nice in the winter time. Electric heat is available in all rooms as well. Dish network connected to living room 70" HDTV.
2 large bedrooms, both with queen size beds, 3/4 shower upstairs. Each room has a mini fridge for convenience as well. Room with wood floors has a microwave as well. Each room upstairs has an A/C unit in the summer time as well.

Close to downtown but far enough to be quiet

Great location within walking distance of downtown! Super cozy house with plenty of room for our group. The fireplace was a nice touch on the colder nights too.

Host was easy to communicate with. Solid location. Also a great set up to watch football on TV

Cute house not clean enough

The owner of this house does live there, which to be fair I don't enjoy that set up. There was an attempt to clean the house, but more of covering it will good smells then scrubbing. The downstairs bathroom had a very strong odor of old urine, the pots and pans in the open shelves had layers of grease. The overall smell of fabuloso was so strong we all had a headache the first night. The upstairs shower drains very slowly. The house does have a nice layout. The bedding was clean. The two rooms upstairs with a bathroom and two rooms downstairs with a bathroom was ideal. The owner was polite and responsive when we had questions about front door lock set up.

Not a typical rental

This is a full time home that was vacated to rent. Guessing it is a single father with shared children time. Decorated as a man cave sports theme in an older house, it is probably best enjoyed by guys or family with boys. Carpets are older with some stains and bathrooms vintage of the house. We were a group of mature women with a sorority reunion who might have appreciated a little more upscale location or a women's touch. Owner was receptive and house exactly as photographed. Lots of furniture in rooms and lots of wood in the front yard.
