Our two cozy little holiday apartments in Dresden Neustadt are decorated with lots of love, so that you feel welcome and at home on your trip to this beautiful city. The apartments consist of the corridor with a big mirrored wardrobe for all your belongings and the bathroom, which is clean and modern with completely new facilities. (we provide all towels and if needed toiletries, just let us know).The apartmentOur cozy little holiday apartment in Dresden Neustadt is fully equipped as well as decorated with style so that you may feel welcome and at home during your stay in Dresden.The centerpiece of the apartment is the big living room/lounge with sleeping area. When you enter the room, you find yourself in a beautiful small kitchen, including a dishwasher, ceramic glass cooktop and oven, fridge with freezer department, coffee mashine and kettle. The cupboard as well as the drawers contain all cutlery, crockery, pots and pans and everything for your perfect cooking experience. For the meals you are going to sit in a lovely spot, looking out of the window into the backgarden, which you are also free to use, whenever you like. Especially in the morning, when the sun shines brightly into the room and every corner is filled with light, it is awesome to sit there and enjoy your breakfast! Separated from the kitchen area in a comfortable corner shaded with a curtain is a bunk bed with a wardrobe underneath. Of course we provide you with fresh bedding and linen.You reach your bathroom with the floor-level shower from the corridor. The corridor you occasionally share with guests using the adjacent counselling room. Of course, all rooms are lockable.There will be a map with advice for day trips and sightseeing tips in the apartment, but we are also happy to help you with any questions and are glad to give advice.The surroundingsThe apartment is situated in one of the nicest neighbourhoods in Dresden – the Neustadt.The streets in the Neustadt might get busy and loud, especially on the weekends, so it is great, that our apartment lies on a quiet street, where there’s hardly any traffic. You have both the advantages of being right in the middle of the buzz, but are also able to sleep peacefully at night. Close by you will find heaps of bars, cafés, restaurants and pubs, round the corner just seven minutes away from the apartment is a supermarket and there are five different bakeries within ten minutes walking distance.In the immediate vicinity of the apartment you have a big range of leisure time facilities on offer, as the cinema, an indoor boulder and climbing gym, different theatres and sports facilities, heaps of galleries and there are lots of events, such as concerts, courses and performances. In addition the whole quarter is characteristic for its unique architecture in the wilhelminian style and some buildings are especially notable, such as the” Kunsthofpassage”.The environment of the Neustadt is extremely child-friendly and there are lots of playground, little woods and hills to play hide and seek and definitely thousands of play mates.The Alaunpark – a park just two minutes from the apartment is the perfect place to have a picnic or a barbecue on a sunny day or to play boule/petanque, Frisbee, volleyball or football. You are welcome to lend our slack line or other sports equipment.If the Alaunpark gets too small for you, the Dresdner Heide is a great place to make a bike tour or a hiking trip and all the tracks are signposted so it is easy to find your way. By arrangement you can borrow our lovely old Holland Tandem.At the river Elbe with it’s beautiful river side it is worth to have a nice stroll along the waterfront. And you could connect this trip with a sightseeing tour through the historic city-center, where you might want to visit the Semperoper, Zwinger, the town hall, the castle and the famous church of our ladies – Frauenkirche.Those of you, who fancy a cool shopping day, will also be very satisfied with what Dresden has on offer. By foot you can make a nice walk through the Neustadt with all its small designer shops and boutique stores and if you crave a bigger shopping experience you can take the tram to Prager Straße, where you can find all the well-known department stores. At the end of this street is the Altmarkt Galerie – the biggest mall in the city center. For a rainy day it might be nice to drive to the Elbepark mall, which is further out of the city, but everything is covered and you can also find big furniture and interior stores.Public TransportWhen you stay in our apartment you are very well connected to the public transport system, since it is only a four minute walk to the next tram station, from where you can reach most destinations within Dresden within twenty minutes. The train stations "Neustadt" and "Bischofsplatz" are nearby, from where you can catch the train to other places in the region (for example to the Sächsische Schweiz for a bigger hiking or climbing tour) or to cities in Germany and Europe.Some rulesPlease note that the apartment is not suitable for anyone with difficulty climbing stairs.Unfortunately we cannot accommodate pets.
