Cozy Lake Front Cabin on Chain Lake!

The cozy lake front cabin property is located on the pristine Chain Lake, an 80-acre lake in Elk, WA. You can kayak to the water fall on the other side of the lake or fish for rainbow trout, Kokanee, largemouth bass or perch, hike, walk, run, read or nap on the hammock, listen to music, or watch the plentiful deer, turkey or occasional moose swimming across the lake.

30 minutes to Priest River
60 minutes to 49 Degrees North
60 minutes to Mt Spokane Ski and Snowboard Park

Our cozy lakefront cabin can comfortably host 8 adults. It stays cool during the summer and cozy warm in the winter with a multi-zone Mitsubishi Ductless Heat Pump system for year-round comfort. No need to worry about power outages as we have a Generac standby generator for uninterrupted power during your stay. If you prefer the warmth and ambiance of a fire, we will have the wood ready for you to enjoy a cozy evening. Radiant patio heaters have been installed on the front and back porches for those chilly mornings or evenings. Our cabin has every amenity available as it is also our family cabin, and we want you to be as comfortable during your stay as we have been.

Our property is in Enchantment Valley where there are 6 other families who own separate properties.

Your whole group will be comfortable in this spacious and unique space. 8 guests (10 if you use the bunkhouse), 3 bedrooms, loft, and bunkhouse (Queen, 2 Full beds, 5 twin beds), living room, kitchen, laundry and 2 baths. Access to lake shore to launch your boat (motorless), or swim (lake is deep).

Interesting local history: The Great Northern railroad line ran through our valley from 1891 for 100 years. In 1906 the train derailed at the exit of the tunnel into the lake and 12 people died. The train was pulled out of the lake and a new train tunnel was built.

Great location to relax and unwind! Enjoyed every day on the water. Between the paddle boards, kayaks and fishing boat available we had lots of options to choose from.Saw lots of wildlife daily. My favorite was the skunk family and the fawn twins. Overall, the Miller cabin was amazing! Our teenage daughters had a great time as well. We would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing Weekend Getaway

One of the best stocked VRBO homes we have stayed in. The owners have thought of everything and we appreciated their attention to detail. We enjoyed kayaking and socializing on the deck and at the fire pit down by the water. Very quiet neighborhood. A nice getaway close to Spokane.

Family time at the lake

3 families came together, 6 adults, 4 kids (8-12) and there was plenty of space for everyone! Lots of outdoor space for games and seating, while we couldn’t swim directly on front of cabin we could paddle out with provided paddle boards and kyaks for swims. Steep dirt road to enter. Enjoyed the privacy and quiet.

Senior women's retreat

This is a lovely place. The house and the lake are beautiful. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the hummingbirds and many other unusual birds. Fishing was quite good. We enjoyed having group dinners and having plenty of space to spread out as well. Lovely to see the stars at night. Also, the beds were so comfortable, I slept like a baby! Dwight was very responsive to any questions. I would like to return.

Dreamy cabin in the woods.

The cabin is roomy and quite comfortable. The decor is upscale rustic farmhouse. Very nice! Dwight is a very kind host. He is very attentive to your needs. He responded quickly. The cabin is remote, (which can be a plus.) We stayed during some inclement weather in the winter. We are hoping to go back and experience this cabin in kinder weather conditions! Thanks Dwight!!!

Beautiful cabin stay

The inside of this beautiful cabin is amazing! Our kiddos absolutely loved the loft for sleeping and just hanging out with cousins in. The kitchen is huge and we weren’t in need of anything to cook large meals for our family gatherings. Plenty of comfy furnishings help make it a home away from home. Amazing quiet mornings with coffee on the big deck were so peaceful. We also very much appreciated all the lake “toys” and used them as much as possible! One thing that would really help is a book/binder of info so we didn’t have to keep messaging the owner, but that being said he was extremely responsive and answered every single question even more timely than I could respond! It would just cut back on having to message about all the small things. The one and only issue we had during our stay was the outside of the bunkhouse. It could have been cleaned up for our use ahead of time on the outside but the owner again was extremely helpful and responsive to our one issue! The inside seemed very clean, just a slight smell that seemed animal like. There is an ABUNDANCE of wildlife at the property including a couple resident deer, and so many birds! The yard was beautiful but did have a large amount of goose poop everywhere ( there are huge amounts of geese all around, so I wouldn’t expect the removal of all that, just a heads up for kids who like to roam without shoes). Overall, we enjoyed our stay with our small family reunion very much!

Awe, just what we needed

We had a great stay. We attended with our daughter and 2 young grand sons. They loved the cabin! They were excited about the loft, the water fun: fishing and kayaking and exploring the yard and surroundings. The solitude, deer, birds, eagle and hawks were pretty amazing. They were pretty disappointed we were unable to have a fire because of the local burn ban. Hard to forego smores in the outdoors. The adults were pleased by all the kitchen amenities and cabin space as well as the peaceful view.

Great getaway

My girlfriends and I do a girls trip and select a different location each year. This home was beyond perfect. The kitchen is amazing and equipped with anything you would need. This home is cozy and charming and I personally loved drinking my coffee on the covered deck and listening to the geese and watching the deer roam in the yard. We Will definetly be back!

Amazing location

We have stayed at many vacation rentals but this was by far the best. The house itself was just as pictured (but better if that’s possible). The location and views were breath taking. Amazing Getaway

We had a wonderful time enjoying nature, seeing anything from beavers, deer, turkey, eagles and fish. We had brought standup paddle boardsto explore the lake. We didn't even need to pump them up since there were kayaks and SUPs for use to use. The house was very well air-conditioned with outside temperatures up to 106F for several days in a row. We enjoyed preparing meals in the perfectly equipped kitchen. Thank you, Miller family for sharing your lovely vacation home.

Elk retreat

I was up in Elk for work and wanted a peaceful place to retreat at the end of the day that was located on the water. My family joined for a week and enjoyed the kayaking and peaceful setting. We were all thrilled to cook in the kitchen as it is so well appointed. 10/10 definitely recommend. The hosts were very responsive and lovely. The property is perfect for families or a cozy retreat.

Great Secluded Spot
