Upon entering, you will immediately feel at home amidst the open-concept layout boasting marvelous ocean views. The living room's TV and comfortable seating lend themselves to family movie viewings, whereas the window-side dining table is prepared to host many memorable meals. When you aren't catching up on your sleep in one of the inviting bedrooms, head for the wrap-around deck. Sunrise and sunset views await your enjoyment each evening from both the deck and right on the sand.

Gone Fishin at Surf City is THE BEST!

We are a couple with two dogs and Gone Fishin at Surf City, NC is our go to beach vacay. Perfect location and convenient to our favs, Swansboro, NC Aquarium, and Surf City Smash Burger. Thank you, Team Vacasa, for another incredible week.

Awesome view of the ocean and beach.

This house is small, but perfect for 2 people. I’ve stayed multiple times, enjoyed my time, but do wish the furniture would be updated. The deck is perfect for relaxing and soaking in the sunshine. The kitchen is decently stocked and recently updated. (New counter tops ,New stove/oven and refrigerator)

Gone Fishin is THE BEST!

If you're going to the NC Coast as a solo, couple, small family, and with a pet, Gone Fishin is THE BEST place to stay with oceanfront and proximity to fun attractions in Surf City and surrounding area.

Amazing location with a perfect deck. The kitchen has had upgrades, but the furniture inside definitely needs to be updated.

Perfect Beachfront Stay

Having direct access to the beach and amazing ocean views from inside are what makes this property the perfect stay. The appliances in the kitchen are updated and fully stocked with utensils which makes it easy for a quick beach meal prep for the family. We will be back!

Surf City Beach

The home was clean, cozy, and right on the beach. Perfect for our small family. The location was fantastic! Beachfront and in walking distance to many local restaurants and shops. I almost gave less stars for accurate online descriptions, but I didn’t want it to come off as being negative. The kitchen has been updated since the online photos were taken so that was a nice surprise. Will plan on booking again!

Great place!

"The accommodations were wonderful. It's a quiet neighborhood located right on the beach, and conveniently located near the town. The house was very clean - bathrooms,kitchen and living areas. The hosts were also easy to get in touch with and responded quickly to communications.Was nice that it was Pet friendly and beds were comfortable. Would definitely recommend this rental company for any rental needs in the Surf City area. Only downside was no washer/dryer. Thank you Vacasa!😁

Outstanding view

We absolutely loved the location and privacy of this one story property. The views were nothing short of stunning. We also appreciated the ramp to the back deck for our senior dog who can’t do stairs well anymore; and the gates in the front and back so he could hang out on the wrap-around porch safely. We enjoyed being able to get onto the beach within a few steps from the house. Restaurants and bars were within easy walking distance. We will absolutely stay here again!

Sweet and comfortable little house

We loved our stay at this home. It is not fancy but very comfortable and clean. It was a perfect size for three middle-aged adults and two big dogs. It had plenty of chairs on the deck, and the kitchen was big enough to cook most of our meals. We missed that the picnic table was broken and removed from the deck - we wanted to eat all our meals outside. And we wish they had a grill outside as well. But we would all come back to this truly beachfront house with amazing views. We liked it.

Great Location Pictures need updated

The property could have been a little cleaner but wasnt terrible. Dead flies and grapes and other trash were not cleaned up from previous tenant. Also there is a Coffee Maker although not listed! (We bought 1 cause vacasa said there wasnt one) previous tenants coffee was still in the filter upon check in. Also Aerial view doesn't show how eroded the beach access is just a heads up if your traveling with elderly people. Also countertops and appliances have been replaced with new stainless units but the couches are old and broken down. All in all i would recommend this house. Pics & description need to be updated. Its in an excellent location and the view is amazing! Vacasa was a breeze to check in and work with and although the did ask about the cleanliness i did not complain to them directly.

Great ocean front view.

I loved the views, the kitchen is great, fully stocked and very clean. The furniture shows signs of needing replacement. The master bed has an uncomfortable dip that is impossible to ignore, even when sleeping alone. However the property is neat, clean, and serves its purpose. Great wi-fi, tv.

Great location!

The house was very clean when we arrived. The updated kitchen was a very nice surprise. The view was amazing and steps to the sand. The dune was a little steep due to erosion. There is a small water hose on the deck to wash off the sand. The queen bed was very comfortable for our daughter. The king bed could use an update. As well as the living room furniture. We had a great time and would stay here again.
