Om boendet

This property is located at the end of the lane. It allows you to really take in nature. This has always been our Happy place. There is a yard for your dogs to run around. You will see a lot of wildlife. We have done a lot of upgrades since my dad built the house in 1988 as his getaway. It’s a cozy place it has always felt like home. There are trails in the woods for you to walk and take in nature or you can bring your atvs the property lines will be marked we are not responsible for any injuries and there will be a form that needs to be signed if you do bring an atv to the property. The property is set up for camper hook ups as well. (Water and electric)

location was nice place was nice only issue had to change the sheets when we arrived never had to do that before the cabin is usually 100% ready upon arrival

Santa train ride

our whole family spent the night here after we went for a train ride. The place was clean and very spacious. We did need an air mattress in the common area to sleep the total number of guest we had. Great place to get away for a night.

A cabin in the woods

Grime under the rug, bugs in the light fixtures, 3 stink bugs on the blinds, spider webs in the over vent, and wasps in the 3rd bedroom - which had a bed and open storage for tools. Bug droppings in the mattresses and around the fireplace. We left immediately - this is not for a family that is used to being comfortable. We had to make alternate arrangements for coming to a wedding in the area.

Almost Heaven

This was our 2nd trip to this listing. Very quiet, relaxing and homey. Great place to relax, hike and just enjoy nature. The house is warm and cozy. Shops nearby such as a trading post and butcher shops. The house is pet friendly and our fur baby loved it as much as we did.

A little piece of heaven.

The cabin is rustic with modern conveniences. The pictures on line do not do it justice. Very cosy and welcoming. Remote location but close to a convenience store and a little further to a small town. The owners went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay. We even stayed an extra day it was so relaxing. Lots of wildlife and hiking trails. Definitely a five star get away!

Not worth the $

Road to property extremely rough and steep. Refrigerator was disgusting, hadnt been cleaned at all inside. Broken glasses in cupboard. Weird smell in house Better pkaces to stsy for kess money. Owners don't care about the property or people

Beautiful Country getaway

This property is rural. Located about 15 minutes from Baker post office and approximately 35 minutes from Romney WV/train ride excursion experience. It is well lit,well kept and scenic this time of year.One thing to note is cell phone service in the rural area. Do not only plan to use phone maps. AT&T is one of the few working well in the area.we did not have any.We used owners network and password at house and it worked well. Finding the place was difficult without service and a map( our mistake) A nice lady at the post office let us use her phone to directly contact the owner and write down directions there. The owner gave us great directions. May help to be prepared for this if choosing the area.Had everything needed at cabin.Good for our weekend train ride and visiting Lost River State Park.
