McClellanville is the last of the unspoiled coastal communities in South Carolina. Ours is a group of college friends(lovers of history) who get together once a year somewhere on the intercostal. On Friday we motored by boat to Georgetown all the way talking & taking in the scenic beauty. We crabbed & fished from the dock and watched college football on Saturday. The house is well equipped for cooking decorated with hangings appropriate for its setting. We’ve decided to come back.

Great house in great location

We had a great time. The house is very comfortable and feels like home. The manager was very responsive and nice. Location is wonderful!

Lior, Thanks for your review and we appreciate that you loved the house. However, we did have a few concerns about the house after your departure. Firstly, there was a stain in the rug downstairs that we could not remove with normal carpet cleaner and a hole was found in the screen off back porch that had not been there before and also, housekeeping reported that the amount of cleaning took more time than what is normally alloted for that house. I regret to have to give you this feedback but it was necessary to let you know as we will charge you through VRBO for at least the rug and screen repair. Adelaide

Like out of a storybook

The home was everything we hoped for and more. Comfortable and well appointed for our family of 10 (grandparents, aunt, uncle, 3 cousins (4, 10 and 12) and us (2.5 year old). We loved being so close to the water, observing all the local wildlife (crabs, fish, birds, raccoons…) and exploring the lovely, beautiful town.

Quiet

We really enjoyed our stay, the house was clean and spacious. The view was excellent, as well as the town. Two boats fit nicely on the dock, had no trouble getting off the dock, even at dead low. Beds could be a little bigger, but overall a fantastic stay. Highly recommend!

Perfect location and beautiful home

We rented this property as it was three houses down from the family we were spending Christmas with. It was the perfect location. The home is beautiful and all amenities are great. Loved spending time on the outside decks and the dock, watching the birds. This home was all we hoped for and more and we will not hesitate to rent it again when we visit.

Southern Charm

We all absolutely loved this house. It was well stocked, very clean, charming and met our needs perfectly, especially the early morning trout fishing off the back dock. We will absolutely be back annually as we have family in the area and this is the perfect place to stay. I highly recommend it if you are coming to the area. And a must is the crab dip sold down the street - best we have ever had and we are from seafood capitols.

Perfect getaway

The house was clean, very well appointed and easily accommodated our group. The location is perfect to walk into town and with the dock you can pull your boat right up and be out on the water in minutes. The property manager is very pleasant to deal with. I would definitely rent this house again

low key - great spot

McClellanville - is slightly off of the grid - one restaurant - but if that is your vibe - this is a great house - great location - next door to quaint shrimping dock - great dock.

The home, location, and property manager were wonderful. The only thing I would have liked was a hose to the end of the dock so that we could rinse the boats off.
