We sincerely apologize you had a poor experience as we did not intentionally ignore your emails. As mentioned on the phone when you called after your stay, your responses to our automated emails sent through VRBO were for some reason going to our spam folder which has never happened before. We have had multiple phone calls with VRBO to resolve the issue. Our welcome book at the property provides our preferred method of contact (phone or VRBO messenger) so we wish you would have reached out to us sooner via one of those methods when you didn't get email responses. We did answer your phone call on the last day of your stay when you called to notify us of the water heater issue. We then had a plumber scheduled the very next morning for a full water heater replacement to correct the issue. During that phone call there had been no mention that you had been trying to get ahold of us and therefore we weren't made aware of the email issue until multiple days after your checkout. We don't feel the 1 star review was warranted because we were responsive when you did get ahold of us via phone (and via VRBO messenger prior to your stay). We have hundreds of 5 star reviews across multiple platforms and take pride in being responsive hosts so we hope you accept our apology for an unfortunate technological hiccup and know that we have made corrections in regards to the email issue and have a brand new water heater for future guests.
