This place was wonderful! It felt like a cabin in the forest yet it was fully modern and had every accommodation you could think of! Everything was very clean and clearly labeled. Each bedroom had a king bed, a tv, outlet strips, a closet with extra blankets and pillows, and luggage stands. If I’m ever in these parts again, I’d love to stay here!

Home away from home!

I have never been as comfortable at a VRBO than we were at Bear’s Rest. We live in North Carolina on a mountain, so we loved and appreciated the cabin feel and decor. Everything was top notch. The location was perfect, close proximity to our family, restaurants, and groceries but quiet and restful. We hope to be able to visit Bear’s Rest again!

A cozy place in unfamiliar territory

This was our first trip to Ohio do we didnt know the area and just tried to stay as close to family as possible. What a pleasant surprise this rental was. The driveway is beautiful, there are two very clear parking spots for whoever is staying. When we walked in the home smelled lovely, it was so clean and organized. The owners have thought of so many details to make for a comfortable stay that it received any stress. It was wonderful to be able to grocery shop and make dinner and not be forced to go out to eat for every meal. The other thing we were so happy about was how comfy the beds were. You just never know what you are going to get when you are traveling and we slept so well. I highly recommend this rental and if we come back to area we will definitely stay here if it is available. Thank you Storers for your Amazing hospitality.

Super cozy, peaceful, lovely home

I met two friends for the weekend here and we had a grand time. The house was perfect, the beds were big and comfortable, kitchen is modern, it has two bathrooms, the details are creative, and bears are EVERYWHERE! We enjoyed the hot tub and TV viewing options. I can’t say enough good things about this place, the owners were very accommodating, it comes highly recommended.

25th anniversary trip

Our 3rd stay here pretty much cements this special cabin as our go to getaway. It checks all the boxes and meets our needs perfectly. I kept telling my wife I could see us living in a property like this. Owners are awesome and added some special touches to make our stay memorable.

Friends reunion

Perfect location. A few minutes to business area filled with restaurant retail and eating places, but then you get to tuck in your little cabin. Weather permitting, sit on the deck and watch nature or hit the hot tub! Dry clean and well appointed.

Great fall getaway

The Bears Rest is a perfect cabin to escape from the rest of the world’s noise. So comfortable and easily accessed, we loved staying there!

This was by far one of the best places we’ve ever stayed at! The place was extremely clean and well thought out! It’s in a nice and quiet area and the whole place was super cozy and comfy as well. You can tell that the hosts really care about your overall experience and it definitely shows! We can’t wait to stay here again next time we are in the area.

The perfect spot

We absolutely loved our stay here. It was my husband, myself and kids (5 & 12). Carol prepared a snack basket with local chocolates and snacks my kids absolutely adored. The property is set back off the road and exactly as pictured. Clean, comfortable and stocked with all you need. We came to visit family and go to the Ohio REN faire. Easy drive to the faire as well as restaurants. The backyard was a dream- coming from Florida it was so nice to sit outside with coffee in the morning. Loved the DVD collection as we watched some of our favorites with our kids. Would 100% recommend and we already have plans to return.

Completely "Bear"able

What a great place to stay. Couldn't have asked for a nicer, cleaner, well appointed location. They had everything I could have needed and even some nice snacks. Very clean and extremely comfortable. Bed was so welcoming and each bedroom was equipped with a tv for comfortable viewing. The Storers' were very friendly as well. I will definitely be staying here again in the future.

Return visit just as good as before

We had an excellent stay here last year so we booked again for this year, and there were no disappointments. The owners do a great job prepping the house for guests, and we needed nothing. Outstanding value!

All sheets, blankets, bedspreads, furniture throws and towels, including hot tub towels, are washed in 140 degree water after every guest to sanitize for the next guest. Floors are vacuumed and steamed after each guest. High touch areas are wiped with disinfectant. Owner on property for quick response but rental property back yard and deck are very private.
