Majestic Moose Lodge is an Executive Vacation Home with Lake Front property on the peaceful setting of Lake Tahkodah with private dock and knotty-pine walls, stunning cathedral architecture and a grand stone-covered fireplace.

Get ready to relax and unwind with the entire family, at the Majestic Moose Lodge on Lake Tahkodah in the North Woods of Wisconsin.

Your adventure begins when you step inside the 4400 square foot, picturesque and roomy 5 bedroom, 4.5 bathroom lakefront cabin.

This gem leans into the cozy cabin feel with knotty-pine walls, stunning cathedral architecture and a grand stone-covered fireplace. Prepare meals in the gourmet, fully equipped kitchen. "The kitchen is well-equipped. We loved the large dining table for games too! "- Michelle. Three of the five bedrooms feature attached en-suite bathrooms making this home an excellent choice for large groups or multiple families who want both communal space and a private place to retreat.

Take in the stunning, panoramic views of peaceful, Lake Tahkoda. Fish from the dock, glide along in a kayak or stand-up paddleboard. Watch the kids spring into action as they laugh in delight and bounce on the water trampoline. At night, gaze up at the star-filled sky, and roast marshmallows around the bonfire.

In the colder months, enjoy parking in the heated garage with electrical hooks ups.

The Majestic Moose Lodge is perfect for every outdoor enthusiast. Situated minutes from the World famous, American Berkebeiner Trailhead, you can cross-country ski, bike, or hike through miles of beautifully canopy covered trails. The area also offers miles of ATV/snowmobile trails. Fish, canoe, or go tubing down the winding Namekagon River. Just a 30 minute drive south, enjoy a day of shopping in downtown Hayward, Wisconsin.

Weekend getaway

Beautiful house, plenty of room. We had some small issues upon arrival but Kari the property manager was more than helpful (Mother Nature). If we didn’t have reservations in august already, we’d be coming back, and we will be back.

This cabin is beautiful, beautiful setting., close enough to Cable but still settled in the forest to give us that up north experience we enjoy. There were 14 of us and we had plenty of room and we prepared and enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner together. Our experience was amazing.

Awesome Stay

The lodge was extremely spacious and easily accommodated three families with kids. The adults and smaller children were able to use the five bedrooms in the main house while the teenagers enjoyed the sleeping quarters above the garage. The docks easily accommodated the pontoon boat we rented and still left room for the kids to play and jump in the water and fish at night. The firepit was awesome and that is where we spent every night. The Blackstone grill definitely came in handy when preparing meals for our large group. Overall, it was an excellent stay and our large group thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic Cabin on the Lake with Everything You Could Want

To say my friends and I enjoyed our stay at Majestic Moose would be an understatement. The cabin has so much to offer that it’s hard to know where to start because the pictures do not do it justice! The deck and outdoor area were amazing and used nightly for grilling and cracking a refreshing drink. The poker table was such a nice bonus. Plenty of spacious sleeping areas. We also had a blast in the arcade space above the garage. The lake is kind of small but that did not stop us from enjoying time on the pontoon. Would stay again 100% - it was an absolute blast for a guys weekend away!!

Large welcoming home with great service!

Beautiful home with 5 bedrooms plus bunk house with 4.5 bathrooms. Lots of space and charm for our extended family. Too many stairs for older and handicapped individuals. We had some small minor problems with propane tank and bees, but management company was attentive to problems. Becareful if you want to jetski or wake board because it is frowned upon.

Stunning house

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house is absolutely fabulous and so roomy for my family of 6 couples. A couple of the adult grandkids made use of the game room over the garage, which was so helpful. We loved the large dining table for meals and the board games that I love. The grill provided was amazing and our chef used it for several delicious cookouts. The kitchen was roomy enough for a couple of cooks and having the extra refrigerator on the lower level was essential. The grounds were roomy enough for parking and outdoor games. Fishing was successful for our couple of fisherpersons. Two problems; critters running around on or in the roof keep the people on the upper level awake at night although management was quick to send pest control. The other which absolutely needs to be fixed is the odor from the septic tank, which seemed to happen every time someone flushed a toilet and often made outside activities problematic. Other than that we had a wonderful stay, and everyone enjoyed their time.

Despite no snow…still a good stay

5 adults, 4 adolescents, one child and an infant over NYE 2023-24. House is as advertised, including number of beds and bedrooms. What we liked were the following: Quiet. Nice and secluded despite other cabins around. Excellent open, comfortable, inhabitable spaces. At least three (main “moose” living space, basement living space with kitchenette, and garage loft - perfect for teens. All are heated independently and all are comfy. The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked up a storm, including use of electric range, oven, and bbq grill. All worked just fine. Loved the game table. We used this a ton. The gas fireplaces were fantastic and we used them tons. Things that could have been better, but just fine: Showers are small. This was a minimal issue - we used them just fine. There were a few old pool chemicals in the cabinets - place would be KILLER with a hot tub. Those are really the only two things that I found myself wishing for. Things that could use attention: Garage loft needs a couch in the main open area. It’s pretty much just an open space as is. Large coffee percolator didn’t percolate. With such a large group the Keurig seemed incredibly wasteful. We made cowboy coffee on the stove instead. Front door deadbolt & basement kitchenette sliding door handles are about to fall off. Easy fix. The 2 main TVs never really worked. We ultimately screen mirrored the vikes/pack game from a phone. Altogether a great place. We would recommend!

September 2024 Stay

The Majestic Moose Lodge has an ample amount of space to comfortably hold 10-14 people for a getaway. With all the amenities, there is something to keep everyone occupied. However, with a space marketed as somewhere for a large amount of people, the small details matter &, in some cases, were overlooked. The 4 guide books/instructions all contained different details &, in some cases, became confusing which was the correct info. The wi-fi info was incorrect on all guides & had knowingly been recently changed & was sent to us only when we said we had issues with it & it still didn’t work; the internet provider had to be called. Only 5 (very small) garbage bags supplied for a party of 11 so we had to request more. Bathrooms were not very clean (multiple dead flies in bathrooms and bedroom, very clogged sink in bathroom). Overall condition of house was somewhat falling apart (broken towel bar, broken screen sliding door, broken blind slats shoved in armoire, multiple vanity lights out in bathrooms). The light outside the garage loft was out & we had people sleeping out there. There was one main light on the deck out too. The water trampoline was very deflated and not able to be used. For the price paid, I would expect those details to be taken care of to present as nice and accommodating of a facility as what was being charged. No black stone grill. Overall, yes, this is a good place for a large group of people to spend a few days but it lacked in quality

This was our 4th time staying there, this time with new owners. But we still loved it just as much! There were 15 of us, and plenty of room to gather, or get away from each other if needed! Beautiful home

We wanted a home for a get away for our family. We wanted to fish and drive our ATV ‘s. Perfect location for that. The house was beautiful with plenty of room and amenities.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The lodge is beautiful and the lake is clean for swimming, paddleboarding and kayaking. Even the fishing was fun (even tho only one fish was caught to eat). The place was clean and comfortable. The bikers enjoyed the trails. Some things were missing - we did not have linens for the trundle and pull out bed and our call for these items was not taken care of. We went into Hayward to purchase linens. The ice maker in the lower level did not make ice. For a lodge that says accommodates 14 people it was lacking in plates and glasses, otherwise fully equipped kitchen. One more thing, the gas grill needs to be replaced, it's in terrible shape and too small to grill for 14 people. We did enjoy our stay.
