Welcome to this secluded get-away conveniently located about 20 min to Folly Beach, 15 min to Kiawah and 15 min to downtown Charleston.

Relax at this newly furnished guest house in a secluded setting.

You will enjoy an entire 1 bed 1 bath guesthouse above our attached garage. You have a separate private entrance and separate parking.

The guesthouse is accessed from an entrance at the rear of the garage. Make your way up the stairs and you are greeted by a bench made from a salvaged cotton mill flooring board from North Carolina. This main room has a sofa, live edge table for setting up an impromptu office, smart TV, mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and coffee table. Adjacent to the living room is the full bathroom and bedroom both behind their own doors.

You will have full access to the guest house above the garage with a private entrance. We do not share this space with the main house. Think of this as similar to a town home or condo.

We are in 'the sticks' as some would say. You will travel on a dirt road and gravel driveway to get here. We're sorry if you just washed your car!

We are located in Charleston, SC - there are mosquitos, gnats, palmetto bugs, etc. We do employ regular pest control on this property.

The security camera listed in the details is mounted on the exterior of the garage pointed down the entry driveway.

We have two friendly dogs that you may see during your stay. They only know how to love so don't be afraid to give them a pet. Please do be careful when coming and going in your car.
You may see wild turkey, deer, hawks, owls, eagles or even a peacock during your stay.

Great comfy space

The space was super cute and comfortable and had everything I needed for my weekend away. The location was also perfect for what I needed. The hosts were super responsive as well.

Cozy treehouse!

This was the perfect place to stay for our recent trip to Charleston. We were visiting our son and daughter in law to meet our newest grandson! This cottage was only 3 miles from their house and a much better location than trying to drive back and forth from the downtown hotels. Saved us so much time! Very cozy digs, almost a tree house feel! We didn't need a kitchen so didn't miss that. Very comfy large bed and a perfect place for 2 people. Very clean. Don't let the location scare you, it was actually quite easy to find. We will definitely be back! Thanks Sam!

Beautiful apartment in the woods

My husband and I stayed there. The bed was very comfortable. The place was new and very clean. We loved the location. Sam was extremely helpful and promptly answered any concerns I had. Would stay here anytime!

Nice stay on Johns Island

Very private and quiet space, nicely equipped and exactly as advertised. I stayed 3 days and had zero issues or problems, but host was easy to reach. l would not hesitate to stay here again! The only other comment I would make is that Google/Apple maps is a bit off - you have to drive just a bit farther down the road and turn right into the driveway, just past the little white church.

Easter weekend

A quiet place to regroup after hours in family gatherings. Nice to have our own space. The place is quiet, sort of remote feeling but close to everything. Obviously a lot of thought and care went into preparing this place. It is beautiful and the host is very responsive to every note I sent. Loved it. Well, maybe not the stairs for these old knees but it was good exercise for them! Lol

Awesomeness

My husband & I stayed at Sam’s for his birthday weekend & it was amazing! The place was immaculate & a very comfortable “home away from home”! The location was prime in that it was close to all of the major areas that we went to while there (Charleston, James Island & Folly Beach, to name a few)…all about a 15-30 min drive away. Sam, himself, was very attentive & responsive & just a phone call…a few short steps away if needed. But, as I alluded to earlier, everything was perfect, so we didn’t need to call on him for anything…because he had already thought of everything! We would definitely stay here again if we’re ever in that area in the future!

Great Thanksgiving visit

REALLY GREAT!!

We were in Johns Island for my daughter's birthday and stayed for 3 nights. It is just beautiful - a well designed & constructed space. Easy to find though it is off the "beaten path" and is secluded. It is very clean and the bed is excellently comfortable. The Owner was always available for advice on local businesses - most importantly - the closest local coffee shop!! There is a Keurig in this cozy guesthouse but when we're on vacation, we enjoy going out for coffee. We were fortunate to meet the Owner as well as his lovely pets. Sam is great guy and so is the space he designed for visitors.

Great location on John's island. 10 min from park, 20 min to kiawah folly and Charleston proper. Great communication. There is little cell service (a good thing tbh!) but they have reliable wifi. When it went down once and I needed to send work files asap, Sam reset the router and had wifi back within the hour. I would 💯 recommend this place and hope to stay again ❤️

Quick getaway

My husband and I were in town for a wedding in Wadmalaw and this location was just perfect! It's cleanliness was impeccable! Super nice! The host were responsive and easy to talk to. Quick access to Charleston, Folly Beach, and Wadmalaw Island. If we get another kid free weekend, would definitely love to stay here again!

Peaceful and Spotless!

My boyfriend and I spent 2 nights in this amazing place! The cleanliness was impeccable. The host was SUPER helpful in communicating. It was such a beautiful place to stay in a location close to several cool spots to dine and drink! The hosts were kind enough to leave a list of their personal recommendations as well:) I wish we could have stayed longer, we will most definitely be back if we stay in the area again.
