Spectacular Lakeside Cabin with Moonrise Views from Cedar Hot Tub

Tucked among the evergreens on the southwest shore of Priest Lake, the Treehouse is a spacious cedar retreat with beautiful filtered lake views. Built above our family’s garage, this two-bedroom home is private, light-filled, and surrounded by nature—designed for relaxation in every season.

Inside, you’ll find vaulted cedar ceilings, large windows, and an open floor plan connecting the kitchen, dining, and living areas. The space feels bright and airy in summer, warm and cozy in winter, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you need to feel at home. Step out onto the large deck to grill, dine, or simply sit with your morning coffee and listen to the wind through the pines.

After a day on the lake or trails, unwind in the cedar hot tub, where you can soak beneath the trees and watch the light shift across the water. It’s the perfect way to end a long day of adventure.

Guests have access to our 69 feet of shared sandy beach and private dock, just a short walk down the path from the Treehouse. Tie up your boat (up to 24 ft), enjoy the fire pit by the water, or wade in with little ones along the shallow shoreline.

The Treehouse is located in Kalispell Bay, one of the most sought-after areas on Priest Lake—close to the marina, resorts, hiking trails, and restaurants, yet tucked back in a quiet, tree-lined neighborhood.

Priest Lake Marina: less than 5 minutes away (boat rentals, fuel, supplies)
Hill’s Resort: a short drive or scenic walk for dining, drinks, and winter recreation
Elkin’s Resort: 10 minute drive with beautiful lakefront dining and weekend events

In summer, spend your days swimming, boating, fishing, or exploring the lake’s many islands and trails. In winter, cozy up by the fire after a day of snowshoeing or cross-country skiing along the shoreline, or drive 1.5 hours to Schweitzer Mountain, Idaho’s premier ski destination.

Please note: The Treehouse sits above our detached garage with approximately 20 stairs to the main entrance. The beach and dock are shared with our family’s main cabin, and are located a short walk down a gentle path.

Whether you’re here for quiet mornings by the lake, evenings around the fire pit, or snow-filled winter weekends, the Treehouse offers a comfortable and welcoming home base to enjoy the best of Priest Lake.

The cabin is even more beautiful in person than the photos as others have said. It was very clean and very comfortable. All the details have been thought out. The hosts were very sweet and helpful during our stay. My son loved playing in the sand, taking our paddle board out and fishing from the dock (even though we didn’t catch anything) it was a really fun experience!

Relaxing retreat at the lake

Our family had a wonderful and relaxing stay at the treehouse at the lake. There are wonderful views of the lake and the hosts allowed us to use their lakefront which is only 200 yards from the front door. The accommodations were beautiful and masterfully crafted with all amenities needed.

We really loved this place. High above a really sweet garage and surrounded by tall pines, it felt like a tree house. Huge deck with a nice grill that we used a few times. Nice decor inside and well appointed. Really liked the kitchen and bath. Easy access to the lake. Recommended.

Absolutely wonderful

Instructions were super clear, had everything we needed, and more! The owners happened to be in the main cabin when we got back from kayaking (in the snow) and they came out and we’re the nicest people ever with cute little dogs. The extra blankets were soooo cozy and all the games and puzzles were super nice. Will be back again in warmer weather lol

Perfect weekend on Priest Lake

The house is lovely. We had 4 adults staying as 2 couples. It felt like plenty of space for all of us. The 2 queen beds were comfy and had plenty of pillows and blankets to use. I really appreciate the quality of the bath towels. Nothing feels better than a clean fluffy bath towel after a shower. The shower and toilet functioned well. It’s called the Treehouse. Be mindful that this place has stairs. 2 up onto the porch. In door. 3 up to a corner landing, then 15 up to the main living area. If you bring a lot, you’re going to be getting your exercise lol. But it’s worth it. The beach and dock were great. We have a 24’ chaparral. Didn’t have any issues getting tied up there. We would absolutely rent this place again!

Exceeds expectations

Absolutely beautiful “treehouse” cabin, beautifully decorated, clean, big spacious rooms, comfy beds, great walk in closets, awesome lake view from deck, clean beautiful beach with new dock, and all the details/amenities to make stay comfortable and convenient covered. We were so impressed! Hosts are great communicators and eager to make trip comfortable for guests. This is our favorite property on Priest Lake thus far!

Nice cabin in a lovely area!

Priest Lake is lovely and we have been wanting to stay out there for a while now. This was a great spot for our trip. The cabin was nice and comfortable. The peeps of the lake from the cabin were welcome. We love being among trees. The access to their little beach and dock was awesome. Unfortunately due to weather we didn’t get to spend much time outside with our two toddlers as we’d planned to do but we know it would’ve been amazing to spend our full day there by the water if we could’ve. My husband brought our family’s boat, too, which was so nice to have the option to keep it in the water during our two night stay. It was just too windy and cool to use it with the kids but we appreciated the dock access. Host communications were great: timely and friendly. They were flexible about check in and out timing and that was much appreciated. Thank you!!!

We really enjoyed staying in the treehouse. It was cool fall, but we managed to enjoy the lake. The access was easy and convenient. Owners were nearby and helpful with all her questions and logistics. We would love to stay there again.

Wonderful stay at the lake!

This property is in a perfect location, with lake, beach and dock access. Owners couldn’t be nicer and very helpful. The house was so clean and comfortable. Only thing that was missing was a microwave, but not a big deal for us. We had the best week staying at the tree house.

Located in a residential area, which was a bit of a surprise. The surrounding area is very pretty, and there is direct access to the lake. The overall view of the lake is somewhat obstructed by the primary residence and some large trees. The immediate lake access is shallow water. Very nice unit but there are a lot of stairs to maneuver getting to the unit from the main level, which is a garage. Being on the older side, it was a bit of a challenge getting our gear up and down.

Winter Weekend Getaway

The cabin was perfect for a relaxing winter weekend getaway for just the two of us. All the woodwork and details were beautiful, even better than in the pictures. We would definitely go back again.

We are Nancy and Ray Rogers. We have a lovely family with 3 adult children and a dog. We have lived on Maui, Hawai'i for over 20 years. Back in 2009, we came to Priest Lake to visit Nancy's sister (whose cabin is just down the street). We originally planned to stay briefly, but ended up extending our trip for the full week. We fell in love with Priest Lake instantly.

Our daughter Natalia now helps manage the property and communicate with guests, ensuring that every stay is comfortable and welcoming. Whether you’re visiting for a family vacation, a quiet retreat, or time on the water, we hope you’ll feel the same sense of peace and belonging that first drew us here.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

After several years of dreaming about owning a cabin on Priest Lake, we were lucky enough to find the perfect one! This cabin was originally home to the Triplett family for several decades. Stories have passed down through their children, grandchildren and our neighbors; Dunbar on his short wave radio with his own special code to invite neighbors over for cocktails, Esther raking up the pine needles and baking her famous homemade cookies while Dunbar carved tikis. And WOW, what a special connection when we heard Esther's favorite places in the world are Priest Lake and Maui.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

When we purchased the cabin in 2014, we wanted to honor those before us who loved Priest Lake and allowed us the immense privilege to carry on into the next generation. The cabin has been completely rebuilt using virtually every piece of the old cabin - from cabinets, to walls and floors - and now spans 2500 square feet, with a detached 3-car garage. Over two summers, with a lot of help from friends and family, piece by piece, we disassembled the old cabin, de-nailing every board and stacking them to be ready to use on the new cabin. The garage now has a beautiful 2 BR apartment upstairs. We call it the Treehouse, as the shimmering lake views through the trees from the living room and balcony make you feel as if you are living in the canopy with the squirrels and birds.
