North Star Retreat is your perfect lake house get-a-way no matter the time of the year. The 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom house is an outdoor enthusiast's dream, boasting 2 floors of rustic-yet-modern decor, a fully equipped kitchen, a Smart TV, fire pit, and ample space for the dogs and kids to play!

Outside is a lake side paradise with kayaks, paddleboards, dock, firepit, and more!

Access to the property is via a keypad lock on the front door. Codes are send to the guest 48 hours prior to check in.

North Star Retreat is your perfect lake house get-a-way no matter the time of the year. The 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom house is an outdoor enthusiast's dream, boasting 2 floors of rustic-yet-modern decor, a fully equipped kitchen, a Smart TV, fire pit, and ample space for the dogs and kids to play! Summers bring everything you love about staying on the water. You have private frontage to Rock Lake and adjoining North Turtle Lake. Both are full recreation lakes ready for you to enjoy. The approach from the house to the lake is level and flat making it the perfect spot for those who hate stairs and steep walks to the lake. Come and enjoy the fishing or take our kayaks and paddleboards out for a spin. They are included free of charge during your stay. If you are bringing your boat, we provide a dock for your use out front from Mid-May through the end of September. If swimming is your thing, you will love the mostly sandy bottom and clear waters we have at the property! The dock is guaranteed from Memorial Day Weekend until September 30th.

The fun doesn't stop when the weather gets cold and the lake freezes over! Ice fishing is a perfect way to spend the day and then relax in the evenings in front of the fire with some friends or family. If speed is more your thing, you are going to love the fact that we have access from he house directly to the snowmobile trails 1/4 mile away. The parking area at North Star Retreat offers ample roof to park your vehicle & trailer during your stay.

Parking
Driveway fits 6 vehicles and can accomodate some vehicles with trailers. Guests have access to the 2 stall garage equipped with a Level 2 Tesla Universal charger for guest use. Charges both Tesla and non-Tesla EV's at 11kW/h.

Had a blast at North Star retreat

My customers and I very much enjoy this house. We have friends that live on this driveway/road so it was very easy to connect with them. The house was very accommodating, the kitchen was great for late night conversations and early morning story telling. My only complaint was that the house is set up for couples. 3 bedrooms 3 couples. We had 4 guys so one of us had to sleep on the couch. Still one of the best houses I have used.

Summer fun

Beautiful home and great location. Very well organized and the Property manager was very attentive to our needs. The screen porch is definitely the highlight of this property!

Great Everything

Beautiful house on the lake with a gorgeous view. Very nicely decorated and has everything you need for an enjoyable and relaxing stay. Bring your fishing gear, food and beverages of choice and relax. Communication with the owner was very quick

Snowmobile trip

Very clean plenty of room for everyone. Right next to the snowmobile trail easy access. Plenty of parking for trucks and trailers. Definitely would stay there again.

Excellent Property

The property was as clean as any we have stayed in. The home is well-appointed with all the essentials. The furniture was solid and comfortable. Having use of the garage was a huge bonus, as we were able to park our boat in there, (away from the mosquitos) while we prepped it for the water. We caught a 34" Muskie casting off the dock. The screen porch is a great place to hang out with the family on rainy days. We will be re-booking this property again!

North Star Retreat

We’ve rented many cabins over the years and this one is a standout! Comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, great seating in living area and on large screened in porch, plenty of dining and game playing space, and everything in working order was so appreciated. Big winds and down pouring rain didn’t keep us from enjoying every minute! We even enough fish for one meal! Thanks so much for keeping your rental cottage pristine!

Perfect!

The house had everything we needed and was exceptionally clean!! Very comfortable beds and furniture! We had an issue with the furnace the first day and someone came out right away and it was fixed by the next day...it was not an issue at all and gave us a good reason to use the fireplace. Enjoyed the kayaks and fishing. Went to Porcupine Mountain to hike, see Lake in the Clouds, waterfalls and Lake Superior. Rode awesome Winman mtb trails twice and the Vilas County paved trail. Dixie's has wonderful coffee and we had a good dinner at Aqualand Ale House, otherwise the kitchen was well-supplied with all the cooking equipment we needed. We would definitely stay again!

Awesome Retreat

Just a wonderful property that has new appliances, all the kitchen supplies you would need to prepare a gourmet meal, and most importantly great bedding that allows one to have a well rested sleep!
