Come stay at a secluded farmhouse on top of a large hill, surrounded by a river & protected state forest with its own private lake for fishing and kayaking. It's a perfect family getaway and great for stargazing as it's a unique location with skies as dark as national and state parks.

This 3 bedroom 2 bath retreat sleeps 7 and is well groomed and full of wildlife. Mature hardwoods and wildflowers abound in the hay and horse fields. Enjoy your morning coffee to the sound of birds, river rapids and if you're lucky, you may spot the mythical 14 point buck and his doe or the bald eagle pair that nest across the river. Magical sunsets, campfires, and beautifully Wild West Virginia mountain views.

Enjoy hilltop views and walks along the Little Kanawha river in a private, gated 150 acre complex. See incredible night-time views of the Milky Way, fireflies flashing in the trees and fields while listening to bullfrogs croaking.

Abundant catch and release fishing on the lake is permitted. Limited tackle available. At the lake there is plenty to do: a gazebo, BBQ grill, 2 kayaks, 2 bikes, 1 pontoon boat and 2 paddle boats are available for your use. At the farmhouse, a propane BBQ and fire pit are available, with as much wood as you'd like to enjoy your campfire and S'mores.

Covered carport for 2 vehicles and additional parking for up to 4 more for a total of 6 cars. Gravel roads to hilltop farmhouse. ATV trails are 15 minutes away at Elizabeth, WV. There are no ATV trails on the farm.

Well-equipped kitchen for the traveling chef has a Keurig coffee maker, stand mixer, basic supplies (oils, salt & pepper, some spices), grilling and cooking utensils and multiple appliances. Two BBQ propane grills are available - 1 at the farmhouse and 1 at the gazebo.

Up to 2 pets permitted inside, fees included.
