nice spot

Serenity on Cedar was a nice spot for our family. Separate area downstairs was perfect for the younger ones. Quite the incline on entrance drive, glad we had good weather! Good location close to trails to the south and Whee/Sylva to the north.

Best Thanksgiving trip ever

The property was even better than expected. We've been going on trips to the mountains for several years and this is easily the nicest place we've ever stayed. It actually sleeps the number of people the listing states, the boats are in excellent condition, the kitchen is well-appointed, and the hot tub is nice and big. It's also nice and secluded so you can enjoy peace and privacy while only being around 20 minutes from grocery stores.

Perfect Family vacation

We enjoyed our stay so much. We had a family of 8 staying in this accommodating cabin. Kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed and loved that we could all eat at the large dining table together. There was plenty of room to spread out and get alone time if needed. We really enjoyed the outdoor space as well as fishing off the dock, pedal boating and canoeing. We ventured out to Cashiers one day and visited downtown, Whitewater falls and Silver Run falls.

Fourth of July vacations

We stayed in this property for the Fourth of July weekend and this house exceeded our expectations the views were amazing and the house was very well equipped with things for everyone in our family to enjoy the owner Carol was supper helpful from beginning to end would recommend this property to anyone looking for a mountain get away!

Great weekend away

Perfect property for a weekend getaway. The road to get there is a little sketchy, but no problem for 4-wheel drive vehicles. Beautiful view, well-stocked kitchens, and clean bedrooms/bathrooms. Would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable and homey.

We absolutely loved our stay at the cabin! It was so cozy and inviting, even better than we had hoped for. Check-in was a breeze, and our host was super responsive, making sure everything was just right. Carol went above and beyond by adding some lovely Christmas decorations that really made our family feel at home.The view from the cabin was absolutely breathtaking, and the peaceful setting was perfect for unwinding. It felt so nice to be tucked away in a secluded spot right above the lake—exactly what we needed to escape the hustle and bustle!Thank you for providing such a wonderful experience! We truly enjoyed every moment in this beautiful cabin. The thoughtful amenities really made our stay special, especially the well-stocked kitchen with all the supplies and spices we needed. And oh my, the hot tub was just amazing! Having kayaks and a pedal boat available was such a fun bonus too. We couldn’t recommend this cabin more!

Nice Getaway

We enjoyed the house and the view of the lake even though the construction across the way was going on while we were there. It was nice to have 3 levels - one for each family to use and the extra kitchen helped to supplement the well supplied main kitchen. We had a great time.

Serene and Beautiful

This was our second stay at the peaceful and quiet Serenity on Cedar cabin for our family reunion. We plan on returning next year. The cabin is very clean and perfect for all of our needs. The children love the spacious cabin and the hot tub and the multiple deck levels. The lake and mountain views from the deck are spectacular. The kitchen and dining area meets all of the needs of our family. Carol is an excellent host and is very responsive. We love her for how she makes us feel welcome and how she maintains a clean cabin. .

The cabin was equipped with everything our family needed! A few minor glitches when we first arrived but Carol immediately had the issue taken care of for us within 12 hours. Immaculate and pristine cabin! We’re already thinking about when we can visit next!

Peaceful and Serene

Our family stayed at Serenity on Cedar for a family reunion being held in the area. The cabin was very clean and perfect for our needs. It had everything; being well equipped and spacious. The children loved the televisions and the hot tub. The view from the deck overlooking the lake was awesome and relaxing. Carol was an excellent host and very responsive.

Secluded Paradise

This cabin turned out to be perfect for our weekend wedding stay. Our niece was married at Ladyhawk Castle and this cabin was ideal. The lake view from the balcony gorgeous along with the fire pit. It made for some memorable nights. The kids enjoyed the hot tub as well. The mountains are beautiful surrounding the well equipped cabin. We loved our stay. The owner was very helpful in giving directions and other information. We would highly recommend this vacation home!

This place was everything we thought it would be!

We pulled onto the property and was instantly amazed by the view. We had 5 couples who get together every couple of years in different parts of the country to have fun and tell lies as we call it. The 5 guys are all Desert Storm buddies who served together. This place was everything the reviews said it was. You can have total peace on the waters edge or live it up a little and have no problems. We enjoyed the cabin and the water activities. Also was happy town was not far away with some friendly people. I could write all that we did or saw but it falls in line with all the other reviews. Bottom line this place is worth the trip I'm ranking it right up at the top of the places this group has stayed!

Peaceful place in the Mountains

Carol’s home was great. Kitchen fully stocked with everything you need but I highly recommend making sure the dishwasher is fully attached to the cabinets. If you opened the door and pulled out each tray, the dishwasher would fall out throwing the dishes forward. That was a bit of a pain. Beds were so comfortable. We ate most of our meals outside on the deck. Unfortunately, the lake is closed due to work. There was a lot of banging during the day but very interesting to watch the barges and the view was still fantastic. The directions to get in and out of the drive were a bit confusing but once we figured it out, it got more and more comfortable coming and going. We would definitely stay here again. It was very peaceful and relaxing. Thanks so much, Carol.

Relaxing, quiet beautiful view@

The cabin was everything it was advertised to be. We had a great time, and hope to go back. We talked several times about how, if guests can't relax there, they probably won't be able to relax anywhere.

Peaceful and relaxing

Thank you sharing your cabin with us, Carol. So relaxing and comfortable. We enjoyed the gas fireplace in the mornings and evenings. We enjoyed the ambiance it created and it was perfect and just enough for taking the chill off without needing to change the thermostat. The weather was perfect, low 70s. We enjoyed watching the crews working on the barges and even got to experience them blasting the mountainside. It was truly intriguing and we were glad we could experience that, too. The lake view was still beautiful, even though the lake was drained down for work being done on the dam. Carol is very easy to work with.

Spacious & beautiful views! Quiet and serene.

We were two families who stayed at this property. We thoroughly loved all the space and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and memorable. Loved that we had the use of 2 kitchens, which made it easier to make meals and have enough space for all of us. This cabin suited our needs perfectly and gave us the Fall getaway reprieve atmosphere we needed.
