If you are looking for a great beach vacation, Panama City Beach provides a great location any time of year! Calypso 2-2007, located in the Calypso Resort, is a 1-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo that sleeps up to 6 guests. You will enjoy the beautiful view of the Gulf of Mexico, the private balcony, and the resort amenities such as the pool, workout facility, and more! Calypso 2-2007 offers great furnishings and lovely décor. As you enter, you will notice the gorgeous flooring, great open concept, and the floor to ceiling windows pulling you to the balcony.

The beautiful kitchen features white appliances and a great amount of counter space. It is fully equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator and freezer, stove top with an oven as well as cooking and eating utensils to cook up some delicious meals during your stay. The breakfast bar provides the perfect spot for guests to sit and chat while offering seating for 3. You and your guests will also enjoy the dining table with room for 4.

Lovely condo, convenient location

Nicely decorated, well appointed. Watch out for the footboard of the bed. We banged our knees repeatedly, but the bed is comfortable. The bedroom door creaks loudly when left open, every few minutes. Recommend the full shut position. Entry door knob is loose. The showers are nice, as is the kitchen. The view from the balcony is amazing. Comfortable and cozy. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had an amazing stay! Benchmark was easy to work with and the communication was great. The condo was spotless and so nice. We saw the most beautiful sunset from the balcony overlooking the pier. It was fun walking to the pier with the family and seeing all of the activity at the beach. Calypso is so close to Pier Park and there are so many great restaurants, shopping, and attractions. We could even see Top Golf being constructed really close to the resort so we can't wait to come back. The fitness center on the 3rd floor was a nice plus and had a great view. There were even bonfires set up next to the pools in the evening that we got to enjoy. Thank you for the wonderful memories we will cherish and we will definitely be back.

NEVER NEVER Rent

Never rent from Benchmark Management Never rent 2-2007. Worse rental experience I have ever had. Benchmark will ignore you if there is issues with the rental. It all started when we checked in entering a condo that was not cleaned. I called they said it was overlooked and someone was there cleaning now and would be ready in and hour. That was a lie. I was standing in the dirty condo. Eventually someone showed up and 3 hours later the condo was cleaned. So after traveling 8 hours we were stuck waiting around. First of all the condo has a lot of wear and tear. Ripped furniture, missing light bulbs, a bathroom door that does not shut ( has to be forced) broken sink fixtures and lastly mold and mildew around shower. Now on to being ignored. We did wash only to find out the dryer is broken. After many many phone calls leaving messages for days no one would return my call. We ended up having to buy towels to have clean ones. All this plus the dishwasher pours water right on to the kitchen floor. We were completely ignored and never got a call back. I have pictures of everything. I will never rent from benchmark or this condo again. The only good thing is we like the Calypso and always rent condos at Calypso

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Dryer was real noisy. A/C didn’t blow very hard in bedroom so it stayed warm. Vacuum cleaner was horrible, just pushed the sand around. Other than that the view was excellent, the room was nice. Wouldn’t mind staying there again.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I hate writing bad reviews, but in this case I feel like it’s necessary. Check-in went fine. We rented chairs online before our trip thinking it would save time when we got there. Nope. We were very bluntly told “you have to wait in line like everyone else.” Which is what we did...for an hour and half. There were 6 guys putting out chairs and umbrellas when there were well over 50 people waiting in line to rent chairs. How about tend to the people in line and then get back to setting out chairs? Then most of the chairs were empty. Absolutely ridiculous. There are also nowhere near enough elevators for a building of that size. If we had not been on the 20th floor, I would’ve taken the stairs. The location is convenient for Pier Park, but that also comes with the noise of Pier Park and all the teenagers driving up and down the road all night. Lastly, my sister and her family also stayed in Calypso with us. I understand different owners and different housekeeping staff could be the issue, BUT her condo was absolutely disgusting! If I could attach pictures it would show the black hands and knees of my nephew who is still crawling. The staff were of no help when she requested someone to come and clean. I understand there will be sand everywhere because it’s the beach. But this was dirt! Unacceptable. We will not be back.

Management team dropped the ball

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our vacation was tainted by our experience with the Benchmark management and Zia rentals. They mishandled almost everything! Didn’t come thru w/ the additional parking we set up & the check in link was wrong . We arrived at the parking garage at 3:10pm and showed them our link to get in that stated our parking pass was in the room, but was denied parking in the garage without the pass in hand. The parking attendant was very nice and let us park in oversized while we got things figured out. Tried contacting via text and call and was unable to reach them. Used a friends extra parking pass to get in. While making our way to the room finally got ahold of someone and asked if the room was ready. They said yes but we would have to pay $65 to get early access so we stood in the hall and waited the 15 min left out. 4pm – code doesn’t work, multiple calls were made and message sent....25 minutes later we are in the room to find no parking pass or wrist bands. Sent another message finally someone showed the bands. Got our parking pass and wifi for us. Wake up the next morning to fridge not working and lost food. Messaged them and no response. My husband discovered a GFI had been tripped and that ended up fixing it. New check in email sent instead of check out. Last day finally got a hold of someone on the phone and advised them of everything that happened and what was not working in the unit. She was very nice and confirmed she was seeing that the calls were not returned and messages went unanswered. Likes: Resort – Location -Layout of condoDislikes: Outdated furniture -Showerheads had no pressure - Broom and vacuum were cheap and not effective.Needed repairs reported: Lint trap broken & HVAC filter/Return vent disgusting.We will not be staying in this unit again. I can recommend unit 1205 that we stayed in Oct 2022 for our anniversary or our friends this trip had unit 1903 and their experience was stellar. We will

Family Vacay

First of all, the property is beautiful. Well kept grounds, very clean. Absolutely the best location. Two min walk to Pier Park. It is literally right beside Pier Park. The condo was beautiful however, the furniture looks as though it came from Goodwill. The furniture is very outdated, cheap and damaged. One is the showers was outlined in mildew which I had to go buy bleach cleaner and clean it up. The sofa and chair are very questionable for cleanliness. We avoided sitting on them. The bedroom mattress is so hard that it felt like a wooden board. The biggest problem we had was there was no remote for living room TV. My kids couldn’t watch TV and it took mgmt two and a half days to bring us a remote. They kept texting they were on their way but didn’t show up for days. Oh and pull out bed is broken. Will not return to this particular condo.

Check in process

We rented our condo through Zia who partnered with Benchmark Management and changed their website during our stay. The directions stated that we had to go to Zia to pick up our parking pass and bracelets and that it was approximately 1 mile away. This was NOT the case. It was actually 7.5 miles each way and we were required to drive back there to return our bracelets after we checked out. As for the parking pass, Zia sent it to my email instead of printing it off for us so we had to find someone on-site at the condo to print it out for us because they did not accept the image on my phone. The directions were super confusing and we were forced to drive a total of 30 miles in order to pick up/return the plastic bracelets. The condo instructions stated that we would be given 2 laundry pods to use during our stay, but they were not there.

Great Stay

Great stay! Everything was super easy..check in went without any issues..place was fairly clean..the dryer starting acting up and wouldn't not work properly but no big deal..overall great place and my daughter had a great time! Highly recommend.

Very rowdy during spring break.

I would not recommend this property during spring break if you have children. Multiple fights broke out with teens and it was very rowdy with vulgar language. The entire time we had marijuana smoke entering our room from the balconies around us. The security was more interested in looking for pool wrist bands than enforcing the quiet rule after 10pm. Our condo was clean and updated.

The view from the front door to the patio was everything. And last but not least, the condo was just as described and very nice, and our host was very attentive. . This was a beautiful condo with breathtaking views of the ocean. You couldn't ask for a better location. We parked on day one and walked everywhere! I highly recommend this stay and we will be back! Everything we needed was provided. It was a home away from home.
