Huset ligger i den lilla viken Lumbarajsko Racisce ("Loom-bar-aysko Rach-ish-che" - lycka till med att uttala det) som ligger 1 km (0,6 km) från centrum av Lumbarda och 5 km ( 3. 1 miles) från staden Korcula.

Huset har två 2-rumslägenheter. Vi har bara en av dem.

En av de stora fördelarna med vårt hus är dess läge och lugna atmosfär, omgiven av tallar på ena sidan och 50m (54 meter) längs vägen kan du njuta av en simtur eller snorkel längs den stora steniga kusten. Om du har barn har Lumbarda två fina sandstränder 1 km bort. Den bästa och den största kallas Przina och ligger på sydöstra sidan av byn. Vattnet är fortfarande grunda vid ca 80m (262ft) från kusten.

Över Lumbarda är skärgård av 19 mindre öar. Två större är Badija och Vrnik med underbara stränder och inga bilar! Badija har ett franskiskanskt kloster och kyrka från 1400-talet. Vi rekommenderar att du ser en kloster från 1477. med gotiska arkader och valv.

Du kan nå och utforska dessa öar med en liten motorbåt som kan hyras lokalt eller med vattendisksresa från Lumbarda by eller stad Korcula

Det är en helt unik plats för en sommarfamiljesemester och på våren och hösten tar du långa promenader runt ön eller cyklar längs många vägar bland olivlundar, fikonträd och många lokala vingårdar.

A wonderful summer house!

This little place was surprisingly spacious and had everything we needed - two bedrooms, the second one with two beds - one for each of our children, two bathrooms with showers, a well-equipped kitchen and a spacious veranda with an amazing view, where enjoyed dining and relaxing. It also had a folding drying rack that was very useful for hanging up swimming suits & towels. The apartment had all these great storage nooks and seems to have been designed with the needs of vacationing families in mind. And we loved simply that each bedroom had access to the lovely veranda! There were only a few downsides: 1. Only the two electric burners of the stove worked (the gas burners did not) 2. The main light in the kid's bathroom stopped working after the first night. Thankfully, there was a smaller light that did work, and it was sufficient for our brief stay. 3. We are not fans of non-stick cookware and plastic cooking utensils. It would be nice to have all stainless steel and/or cast iron pans and stainless steel & wooden spatulas, etc. 4. The apartment itself may need a bit of renovation/upkeep. For example, the refrigerator had a lot of moisture and the freezer handle was not firmly attached. If this and other such issues were attended to, then this would be an excellent summer house. It has great potential! Also be aware that driving and parking on the island of Korcula can be challenging - the roads are narrow and are often at an incline. Drive and park very carefully!

A great island spot

We loved staying here! Nice property, responsive owner and we could walk to two great restaurants right on the water. Lumbarda is a quiet area on the island, great for low key relaxation.

A beautiful stay in Lumbarda Fantastic village plenty of activities for my teen boy and calm & quiet for me and my partner. The property was just right, all we needed was there and Ivana was extremely helpful in moments of needs. I suggest this to families.

No internet connection + misleading photos

The host’s mom, who lives next door, is accommodating and friendly. However the house is probably best for a weekend or at most a week’s stay; we stayed for 34 nights and the house lacks some basic amenities that in our opinion are necessary for long term stays. Most important was that the flat was advertised as having reliable internet, and we planned to work from the flat. The internet connection itself is actually a booster from the main house so you don’t even have the ability to cycle the router or do anything from the flat, so we felt that advertising a place to work and study with internet was false advertising on many fronts. For a listing featuring the ability to work and study remotely lack of consistent internet was a massive problem and the host did not offer us any compensation so we spent a lot of money on taxis and rental cars to get to places with good internet. There is also the fact that some of the pictures probably need clearer labelling or updating- many pictures aren’t of the property itself, and some photos make it look like the house has direct access to the coastal path and sea. It does not. Note that to get around you’ll definitely need a car - there’s great parking for that though which is a definite plus! When we arrived we were surprised to find that all drawers and spaces for our clothes were filled. We did alert the host to this and one drawer was cleared, but we spent time moving things around to find spaces to unpack. There was also only one set of keys to the place which meant that for time away we had to leave the keys there (the host requested this), meaning we had to take most valuables that we would have otherwise left behind. The kitchen lacked some amenities that we needed such as a microwave. Again for a weekend or week this might not be an issue but as a long term guest this was problematic. When we arrived we didn’t get any information besides wifi login details, so we got in touch about things like trash, washing machine, etc. A little host book might be a good idea in the future to limit the back and forth and help guests settle in more quickly. A fair amount of communication was required due to the issues we had during our stay and we were grateful the host’s mom daughter was here to help through most of the stay; I don’t believe that’s common though so something to consider. I love Korcula and staying on the island for a long term stay was a treat but this is not a place I’d recommend.

Zwei geräumioge Schlafzimmer mit einer riesigen Terrasse, drei Fußminuten zum Meer in einer ruhigen Bucht, ein hervorragendes Fischrestaurant gleich daneben - was braucht man mehr ? Die Vermieterin in der Wohnung daneben für jede Auskunft ansprechbar - es waren entspannte zwei Wochen. Zu empfehlen !!!

Magical

We spend 10 days staying at Ivana's house in August and loved every minute of it. Its light and airy with 2 bedrooms opening onto the wonderful large terrace. The bushes provided shade and privacy but you could still see the view of the sea and the bay. The master bedroom had a large and very comfy bed and both had well functioning bathrooms. The second bedroom is actually the lounge but it worked for us as a family of 4 as in the summer the terrace is your living space. The small kitchen at the rear is well equipped with everything you need. We loved the location too. At the bottom of the road, literally one minute away there is a place to swim with a small area to put a deckchair and sunbath if you want to stay local. Its really peaceful and the water crystal clear. 2 wonderful restaurants Guvani (fish) and Skefatin (booking essential at least 3 days in advance) are really close with more in the center of Lumbarda which your can walk to on a lovely pine covered, newly concreted path which is lit at night. Via the pine walk it will take about 20 minutes to reach the center of Lumbarda on foot, with numerous other restaurants on route. We hired a small boat for 3 days which I highly recommend. Exploring the bay and all the little islands was magical. Ivana lives next door and is a charming host who could not have been more helpful. Thank you Ivana for a wonderful stay on beautiful Korcula. We hope to return one day.

Ruhig und erholsam

Wir wurden sehr freundlich von Ana, der Mutter der Vermieterin, empfangen. Jederzeit half sie uns bei Fragen. Leider hatten wir die Online-Anonce falsch verstanden, so dass uns seitens der Hausvermieterin kein Ruderboot zur Verfügung stand. Wir konnten aber direkt vor Ort ein Boot mieten. Restaurant- und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in Lumbarda vorhanden. Insbesondere die Pizza bei Torkul ist hervorragend. Unser 2-wöchiger Urlaub im Haus war sehr erholsam und wir werden das Haus unseren Freunden gern weiterempfehlen.

Lumbarda - iit nvolves flip flops and wine..

If I recall that is the motto of the town and quite fitting it is. The relaxed atmosphere - no fancy clothes needed to go out, flip flops go almost evrywhere on this island! I left three pairs of shoes in my suitcase during our 2 week stay. As it was sooo hot during our entire stay, all we mainly did was relax on the huge terrace, walk a few meters to the bay to cool off in the pristine water and think about where to go for dinner. There are certainly enough options within walking distance. Otherwise, a trip to the store to get freshly baked bread, some groceries and check out the nearby seafood stand early in the morning was about all the shopping I did. We enjoyed the beauty of Island Korcula and the old town as well, but were glad to have selected the appartment in Lumbarda with its proximity to Korcula and easy drive to other towns on the island which we also explored, a bit. If your not one for the heat I would recommend a visit the spring or fall. As for the appartment it was a pleasure to meet the owner, who regularly brought us treats like local wine, delicious cookies and fresh figs.The rooms were very clean and all the furniture and dishes etc. were like new. During our stay we cooked a few times and found everything we needed. I would recommend this accomodation.

A very nicely situated small house in a peaceful bay in Lumbarda.

We had a wonderful stay in Ivana`s house. Her mother Ana was very helpful with all questions we had and even provided us with some homegrown vegetables and wine. The house is situated in a small peaceful bay in Lumbarda. You can either choose to go to the beach there (30 m from the house) or to go to some of the more crowded beaches in Lumbarda (around 1 - 2 km) from the house. Close by you can find a very nice family-run fish restaurant (Konoba Gavuni) which is offering fresh fish and meat products - highly recommended. Thanks a lot to Ana for the hospitality and big support during our stay!

Very Nice!

Zu Gast im Juni 2017 als Paar mit Hund.Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht.Große Terrasse .Wir haben dort einen sehr schönen Urlaub verbracht. Vielen Dank für die schönen Tage.

Sehr schöne Ferienwohnung und super Lage

Wir, drei Erwachsene und ein Hund, haben im Juli 2016 zwei super schöne und entspannte Wochen in Lumbarda verbracht. Wir sind so nett von unseren Vermietern Ana und Zvonko empfangen worden und haben uns gleich Zuhause gefühlt. Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet und gemütlich. Die Verande ist echt traumhaft und lädt zum frühstücken, relaxen usw, ein. Die Lage ist einfach unschlagbar. Vom Schlafzimmer aus sind es 30 Meter zum Meer. Das Haus liegt in einer ruhigen Bucht und man kann hier richtig entspannen. Auch mit unserem Hund war das kein Problem. Wir konnten direkt unterhalb vom Haus mit ihm baden gehen. Selbst er hat sich richtig entspannt. ;-) Der Ort selbst bietet einige gute Restaurants und auch Geschäfte des alltäglichen Bedarfs sind vorhanden. Die Stadt Korcula liegt mit dem Auto nur 5 min. entfernt. Wir können nur sagen,... immer immer wieder gern! Vielen Dank Ana und Zvonko für eure Gastfreundschaft und die schöne Zeit bei euch! Wir haben es sehr genossen! Ana i Zvonko, hvala ljepo sa sve!

Wonderful island holiday

My boyfriend and I stayed at this apartment in September 2015. We had a wonderful time! Ana and Zvonko were fantastic hosts and we enjoyed learning about Croatia over a glass of wine and a traditional Croatian meal. The apartment itself is quite private, though also convenient to the beach and to town. We were able to start our days with a snorkel or swim just 30 m away from the bedroom. The apartment was very comfortable with more than enough space to relax. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and we loved eating a home cooked meal on the porch. Lumbarda is a charming town, and we were able to navigate the nearby surroundings by foot and by bike. We enjoyed some lovely meals in town and enjoyed touring the local vineyards. We would recommend renting a bike versus trying to use a car to tour the wineries. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

Relaxing holiday in beautiful Lumbarda, Korcula

My boyfriend and I stayed with Ana and Zvonko from June 22nd through to the 27th 2013 on the beautiful island of Korcula, Croatia. The location of the newly renovated apartment is found in a quiet bay just 20 metres from the turquoise sea. It is a short bike or car ride away from Korcula town, and a short 10 minute walk from the town of Lumbarda where you can find a number of restaurants and a grocery store. The apartment was clean, kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals in at night, and an amazing patio to enjoy the view and warm weather. We had some amazing seafood at a restaurant called Feral which has a patio overlooking the bay and perfect for watching the sunset. There is another restaurant just steps down the street from the apartment open for only 4 hours in the evening which serves fresh fish caught that day. Looks to be a bit of a local hangout, and everyone was very friendly! Ana speaks amazing English, and was very helpful with any questions at all. Was great to learn a few things about the island over a nice glass of local wine! There are a number of beaches in the area, a rocky one just steps away from the front door, and a few sandy beaches if you walk along the water both into Lombarda, and on the other side following the wall along the coast. This was a great way to relax, eat some fantastic Croatian seafood and enjoy the local hospitality. I would certainly recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet stay on one of the gorgeous islands in the Dalmatia coast of Croatia.

Gorgeous apartment, great setting

We had a wonderful holiday in this apartment. It was a good location for exploring the island of Korcula and lovely to have the sea so close by. Ana and Zvonko were very welcoming and the apartment was very comfortable.
