Casa Betita är en helt renoverad historisk adobe anor från mitten av 1800-talet. Casa Betita var hem för generationer av samma familj fram till 2007. Extremely comfortable!

We loved our stay here, the home is so rich in history and beautifully decorated inside. The walk into town was super pleasant and sitting on the deck late afternoon very relaxing. Highly recommend and hope to stay again some day!

Excellent Taos experience

Very clean, well-appointed property. Owner was very helpful and easy to communicate with. Easy access to town or relatively short drive to Taos Ski Valley. Look forward to staying here again.

Perfect retreat

We loved staying at Casa Betita! Perfect location, beautiful yard and porches, amazing decor and updates to the home. So much love and respect must have gone into the renovation of this property, because it can be felt in every corner. Everything that we needed was provided for a comfortable, relaxing stay.

Always a treat to stay at Casa Betita

We have stayed at Casa Betita several times and it's always a treat! There's just something about pulling into the gate, in your private compound, that takes the stress away. We ate at all our favorite places, and just relaxed. Perfect getaway weekend. Thanks for having us!

Enchanting stay at Casa Betita, Taos

Wonderful renovated 1800's pueblo home in "magical" Taos, New Mexico. Awesome and large renovated rooms. Lots of southwest character.....Awesome kitchen + hot tub ! Wished we could have stayed longer, as we were sad to leave.

Felt Like Home

This is the best VRBO we've ever stayed in! It really felt like we were in a home, not just a house. So many nice details and very comfortable. Plenty of blankets to stay cozy on the cold nights. Well stocked kitchen. Very private. We will definitely stay here again if we are back in Taos!

Casa Betita is first-class. The accommodations are well-designed and roomy, and the outdoor patio is a great addition. The kitchen has everything you can wish for, and the rock showers are terrific. For those who are interested, the outdoor shower and hot tub beckon. The yard features some of the largest willow trees I've ever seen and lots of fruit trees; the fenced-in yard was a huge boon for our dog, who could explore to her heart's content.The house is something of an oasis, being surrounded by other properties, but noise from those properties is minimal. Pull the driveway gate and you have a very private and comfortable home away from home!Melissa has collected a lot of local art that underscores the New Mexico experience. Add a very fine collection of books, the TVs, and you have good reasons to stay home if you choose.

Beautiful property

Beautifully restored old Adobe. To of the line restoration with every amenity imaginable. Loved the apple and apricot trees in the yard (so did our dog). It was quite warm during our stay but the wide verandas, thick walls, big trees and screen doors kept us very comfortable inside all day. Would stay here again for sure!!!

Casa Betita it’s a delightful place!

We really enjoyed staying at Casa Betita! The house is beautiful and very comfortable . We were vacationing with our dog, and there is a large fenced yard that allowed her to roam! The house is in the neighborhood, but it is close to downtown Taos and we were able to enjoy our friends and family who live there. The kitchen was well appointed with everything you need to cook a fine meal at the house. The beds were comfortable as well. Melissa did an incredible job renovating this fine home.

Five-Star Accommodations in Taos

The interior of this house is spectacular. Melissa has thought of every detail. Every time I turned to look for something it was there! The interior of her home is comfortable, spacious, luxurious, orderly, clean, and inspirational. I understand Taos is in a drought, but, given the home's location off the road, I would ensure that the exterior of the home (the furnishings, landscaping, etc.), is just as exquisite as the interior. That would make the whole package a home run!

A gem in rural Taos!

We couldn't have been happier. Casa Betita is just gorgeous—a beautifully restored adobe that doesn't lack for any of the details. Everything is so well thought-out and so well-appointed. The art is delightful, the yard is lovely, the rock showers are amazing ... there's an ACTUAL COFFEE MAKER as opposed to the Keurigs you see in so many rentals. We loved having our meals on the wide portal, through sun and rain, playing underneath the big willow and apple trees, relaxing in the hot tub, hearing coyotes and cows and neighborhood wildlife. The kitchen is thoughtfully stocked, beds are super comfortable ... I could go on and on. This place truly is a gem, and it's quite obvious that Melissa loves this house. Can't speak highly enough of the experience, and we'll be back for sure.

I cannot say enough good things about this home. We've stayed in Taos many times over the years, and this was one of the best vacation homes we've been lucky enough to book. The home itself is gorgeous and has spacious outdoor living areas - the pictures don't really do it justice. The kitchen was very well stocked, and we were able to enjoy cooking a few meals. Beds were comfy, showers were great, and we loved the large bathtub! Hot tub was also great. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. We'll return!

My friends and I absolutely loved this home. It it is close to all the things Taos has to offer, beautiful interior and exterior, all amenities were there for us. It was so quiet and comfortable, we fell in love with the property and would happily return. We give this place a 10!

I am an artist / writer / filmmaker / producer. I work and live primarily in Santa Fe and love my home in Taos. Both my parents and grandparents from both sides were born and raised in New Mexico. When I am in Taos I spend time improving the garden, season by season, skiing and horseback riding, I also get some of my most important creative work done in the house which seems especially conducive to creative thought and activity.

Taos is a special place of many stories. History is rich here, and the journey of each visitor under the vast canopy of sky adds another layer to the richness of the place. Experience Taos for yourself. You will be changed and fulfilled. Northern New Mexico also has two generations of family history for me, so when the opportunity came to care for this house and restore it, I jumped at the chance. I did not purchase this house as a vacation rental as much as this house chose me. I purchased it as a home. I was able to live in Taos for two years but economic conditions and work called me back to the big city, for now.

A pleasant 15-20 minute walk past horses, alfalfa fields and through back lanes to Taos Historic Plaza, shops and galleries, this is a home you will want to return to year after year. Taos is a year round destination offering breathtaking views, intriguing history and intimate privacy making for the ultimate relaxing and healing getaway. Unlike many vacation rentals I supply everything except your food—the woodpile is continuously stocked, the propane for the grill, organic linens and soap, even robes. If you are a looking for a special Taos experience, Casa Betita is the place. My home is dog friendly for up to two small to medium dogs.
