No response from host

I was unable to contact host before, during or after the stay. No key code was given for entrance to the property but the back door was open. We accessed the home there but every-time we left we had to pack up our belongings and take them with us because we were unable to lock the home. House was clean, had everything we needed. House looked as advertised. The neighborhood was on the low end but the location of the home was perfect for our needs while we were in the area.

Pros and cons

Interior of the home is as pictured. Very spacious cottage with basic amenities. Kitchen appliances are very nice. No sink stopper for washing dishes. The backyard gazebo provides great additional outdoor space with a cool lighting feature. Plenty of hot water for the family to shower and nice shower head with good water pressure. Downside to the bathroom is there are no outlets in there! Towels were clean and fresh, but we were not supplied with enough to have one per person per day. Responses from the owner were quick and she provided us with addresses to the closest Publix and miniature golf course.

Nice clean property but some issues

Initial impressions were fine. Property was very clean, and spacious enough for our needs.. As our stay progressed, we noticed several things that ended up not giving this property a five rating. The toilet paper supplied was possibly the cheapest thinnest one-ply I've ever seen. The frying pans in the kitchen were incredibly cheap and made cooking difficult. There were no stoppers for the kitchen sinks to hold water for doing dishes. While there was an iron in the closet, there was no ironing board. There was also not a single electrical outlet in the bathroom, which meant we could not plug in a blow dryer or curling iron. Electrical outlets in general were pretty sparse, making charging things like phones a challenge. When we initially booked, there was a washer and dryer, which was one reason we booked this property. However when we arrived we discovered the washing machine was out of order. Apparently it went down during the time we booked the unit and our arrival. A couple of positives were the very nice screened gazebo on the patio. The shower head was fantastic and very nice. The location did not turn out to be as centrally located for us as we had hoped, with many of the locations for our daily trips much further away than we would have liked, but that's on us I guess.
