Welcome! We are located in the South Lake neighborhood of Overland Park, KS. Enjoy privacy and comfort with the whole family at this stylish, 2 bedroom apartment that sleeps 6 comfortably. We are nestled on a quiet, residential street and within in minutes from restaurants and bars and a wonderful 14 acre park!

This unit can accommodate up to 6 guests. Linens, towels and soaps are provided. Included is coffee, tea, and cocoa to make your mornings a little smoother.

Parking Note: A private parking lot is at the rear of the building. You are welcome to enter from the back of the building, as it is the closest point of entry to the apartment itself.

As your host, I am available to answer any questions and help in anyway to make your stay perfect. You will not see me, unless you need me!

South Lake is located directly south of Downtown Overland Park and is known as one of the best neighborhoods in the city. South Lake’s proximity to downtown allows residents to have easy access to a charming collection of locally owned shops, diverse eateries, art galleries, and more.

An Uber or Lyft is a message away!
We require QUIET hours between 10:00pm and 8:00am. We a have a very strict NO party/event rule (please be courteous with your noise level.) Your reservation will be terminated with a visit from the neighboring police if there are complaints about noise.

- Please keep the partying at another location - respect the other tenants that reside here.

- Smoking of any kind is prohibited. If there is any evidence (smell or paraphernalia), there will be a $200.00 charge.

- If something breaks, please notify me immediately.

- All items are accounted for, if anything goes missing there will be additional charges incurred for replacement. Prices vary per item.

- Stained towels, sheets or blankets (after being treated and/or bleached and washed and then mark doesn't come out) will be subject to additional charges for replacement.

- No pets allowed.

Great location and owner very responsive

We had a lovely stay and were within walking distance of old town Overland Park and the farmers market. Great little shops and wonderful restaurants. Apartment was clean and owner took care of a few minor issues right away. Would stay here again.

Just What We Needed!

This property was very clean, and check-in was quick and easy! All of my kiddos liked it, as did my husband and I. It was the perfect stopping point before heading out early the next morning. We would definitely stay again.

The perfect stay!

We were very pleased staying at this beautiful rehabbed apartment which was very well appointed & had everything my husband & I needed! We came to Overland Park to attend a family wedding at Strang Reserve, so reserved this property Friday thru Sunday … it was so close to the wedding venue & to where our family lives! We enjoyed the farmers market, shopping downtown, Maloney’s for dinner & Peanut for lunch to enjoy their delicious BLT’s!Thank you Angie for a wonderful stay in your lovely VRBO rental!! Not What We Expected

We arrived to find the property is in a very old apartment building. There were two access doors. The first leads to a dirty, smelly dark hallway. The host failed to include access code to the second door in instructions. I messaged and received the code about an hour later. Inside the property was clean, but the floor is uneven, the heater looks like a fire hazard with old wiring, and the shower leak has formed a large bubble in the drywall and there was a patch of mold. We stayed the first night and didn’t return.

Great place!

Stayed with some friends for a concert weekend. The place was great, clean, and easy to check in and out of! Perfect for a short weekend stay. The beds were clean and very comfortable! The host had thought of everything.

Cute, Comfortable, and Accommodating Stay

Our stay at this property was overall enjoyable! While I could see how some people may have found the entrance a little hard to find, we were able to find and access the apartment without too much trouble at all. Once inside, the comfort of the beds truly stood out—they were exceptional, and the abundance of extra pillows was a wonderful bonus that made for restful nights.All the essential amenities were provided and greatly appreciated. We did notice occasional noise from the upstairs family, but this is something typical of apartment living and not within the owner’s control. Considering the affordable price and the overall experience, this minor issue didn’t diminish our stay.I highly recommend this property and the thoughtful host to anyone considering a visit. Just bear in mind that apartment living can come with some noise, especially if you’re not accustomed to it. For us, the positives of our stay far outweighed any small inconveniences, and we left feeling happy and well-rested.

Upstairs neighbors are very loud. It smells like smoke inside and out of the building. The beds were clean. Just needs a little TLC with cleaning the doors and walls a little better. Got the job done for the price

Very clean and cute

The apartment is super cute, clean, and has everything you need. The owner was great with communication and kind. I feel bad even giving it 4 stars, however the upstairs neighbors were extremely loud with children running around at all hours and being loud. This isn’t the hosts fault though so I feel bad taking away from them because of that, but it did affect our stay.

Great Place! Close to everything!

I came here with my 3 boys for vacation. It was perfect for us. Very clean, easy to get to and close to every activity we did. Host was great, with prompt responses anytime I needed them. Fantastic place! Nothing negative, whatsoever.

Perfect for family

We were in town for a birthday party -I came from Ohio and my kids from AR met me. This was process easy as my daughter got there before me so the ease of checking in and everything was awesome. Great directions to get in. One of the cleanest places I have stayed. Great communication with owner. Very close to everything you may need.

Excellent!

We loved the place and would stay there again. As other people have stated, the people upstairs are loud but it's mostly just the sound of walking around and occasionally dropping things. There are earplugs on the nightstand if you need them. Note about the location. We arrived at night and could not figure out how to get to the back of the apartment. The drive is a one way circle around TWO apartments. There is no access between them. You must go past the apartment ON THE RIGHT and use that driveway. If you follow that around past all of the garage doors, you'll end up behind the initial apartment. It's the first door you come to. I hope this helps.

Problems at first but nice rental once we got in

We had issues at the beginning of our stay, the host never gave us check-in instructions. After a message to the host and a voicemail with no response, we finally got ahold of VRBO support. They failed to contact the host as well and told us to get a hotel for the night while they found a comparable rental in the area. An hour after settling into the hotel we finally got the check-in instructions from the host - this was at almost 9pm. Once we finally got into the apartment the next day it was great! The exterior photo that was advertised originally is no longer pictured when booking and is much different than what we drove up to but the interior was accurate. Overall, our family was comfortable and the rental worked well for our KC stay.

DO NOT STAY HERE - UNSAFE, UNCLEAN, AND MISLEADING LISTING

My wife and I booked a three-night stay but left after the first night due to major security, cleanliness, and noise issues.The check-in instructions were poorly written. I followed them exactly, entered the provided codes, and unlocked and walked into a stranger’s occupied unit. The host repeatedly denied this was possible, but it absolutely happened—meaning anyone else’s code could have worked on ours. I'm certain she will reply and say this didn't happen, but it again most certainty did. Huge safety risk.The unit itself was disgusting—pubic hair on the sheets, in the shower, tub, and sink. I provided photos, and the host refunded only the cleaning fee and half of the first night’s stay. Despite leaving early due to these issues, she refused to refund the remaining two nights.A toddler jumping above our room made sleep impossible, and the entire room vibrated despite the host providing earplugs. We also woke up to the overpowering smell of marijuana seeping in and sketchy individuals talking loudly just feet from our bedroom window. The property felt like subsidized/section 8 housing, not a vacation rental.On top of this, the kitchen flooring had holes, creating a tripping hazard. We left after the first night and were denied any further refunds by VRBO. The fact that this listing has high ratings is bewildering. Between the host’s gaslighting, security risks, and disgusting conditions, this was one of our worst experiences.

The apartment itself is nice - large, spacious, & clean. I like having the washer & dryer available to use. While the kitchen is not well equipped, it provides some basics, like coffee maker, which is nice. This was my 3rd stay in the apartment, and this visit I noticed A LOT of noise from the apartment directly above. I believe on my previous visits the upstairs apartment was being rehabbed, so it was empty. Now there are noisy neighbors. While the apartment itself is nice, the outside of the apartment & immediate surrounding areas, however, are not very inviting; bit run down and unattractive. Regardless, the agent (Angie) for the apartment is friendly & helpful, and I'll book again when I visit KC.

Deceptive!

I would have given this place as 6 out of 5 for how clean, quaint, and nice this place was. The host has almost everything you need to just show up with just clothes and food. That I thought was superb! But I thought this was a house. It’s an apartment that has little KIDS who live upstairs and I heard them all of the time! I don’t know if they have a dog but I have never heard such noise coming from any kind of rental place before! I will NOT be staying here again solely for that reason. If the kids move then I would consider but my experience was miserable.

Nice place

An overall nice apartment. Owner was very responsive throughout our stay. 10 minutes from lots of good restaurants and bars. Will stay here again next time I visit.

Great place!

Loved this VRBO. Super clean, and very nice and modern. Full size kitchen, pull out coach, and plenty of space for everyone. Only complaint is the neighbors above could be a tad loud, however they were never an issue during the night while sleeping! The neighborhood isn’t the nicest either, but that wasn’t an issue at all. Lovely stay and would love to come back again!

Need to note that there isnt anyway to park a a vehicle with a work trailer. Tub dont drain House keeping needs to make sure coffee water tank is emptied.

Worked Well Except

The property worked well for myself and 3 friends, it was overall pretty clean and the beds were comfortable. My major complaint was that when I initially booked the property, part of the cost was a “refundable security deposit,” which was paid in full at the time. However, the day of our reservation I saw a hefty charge on my credit card. I asked Angie what this was for and she said it was the refundable security deposit. I asked 3 times about the previous security deposit I paid and never received an answer. While the new “security deposit” was removed from my card, I never received the initial security deposit back. This is a major red flag for me. Seems pretty deceptive.
