Om boendet

Dell Cottage har haft vår familj i nästan 60 år. Ligger strax norr om downtown Pt. Sanilac på en privat väg, kan du njuta av 90 meter av sjön främre fastigheten. Fastigheten är 700 + ft djup vilket bidrar till känslan av rymlighet och integritet. Vi hoppas att efter din vistelse på Dell Cottage kommer du att vara så förtjust i det som vi är.

Huset sover 4, plus 2 på en utdragbar soffa i det stora solrummet. Solrummet är ett vackert bostadsutrymme för användning på våren, sommaren och hösten (inte uppvärmd på vintern). Med en 30 fot mur av fönster mot sjön är utsikten från soluppgång till solnedgång fantastisk!
Kom och njut av den underbara utsikten över Lake Huron! Titta på fraktbussarna, gå och se i skuggan i hängmatta, spela krocket på gräsmattan, hästskor på sandstranden, eller ta en lång promenad längs sjön Huron.

På kvällen byggar du ett lägereld på stranden och rostar marshmallows med barnen. Vi föreslår också att du bara luta dig tillbaka och stirra på den vackra stjärnhimmel.

Golfare bör försöka Huron Shores Golf Club som ligger bara 5 minuters bilresa norr om M-25. Båtspelare kan starta vid den offentliga lanseringen i Pt. Sanilac. Det finns gott om parkeringsplats på vår fastighet för båtar och släpvagnar.

Great lakefront location and beach

This is a great cottage for a small group or family. Love the large “Florida room” with views of lake! We spent all of our time there or outside. Beds were comfortable although only 2 double beds. Sofa bed is best slept on as a single without opening up. Plenty of clean linens. We had one minor issue with the door lock but owner came to fix right away.

Better than the pictures

This house is the perfect place for a relaxing up north vacation. The beach is even better than the pictures and we spent a perfect day swimming.

Sun, shade, beautiful beach

Cottage was great, plenty of windows for fresh lake breezes, air in bedrooms, barely used. Beautiful beach, fire pit out of the wind in the nice large yard. Water a bit rocky, little ones might need water shoes, our young teens didn’t, found plenty of sand bars. Sun & shade in the yard. Lost power twice for a few hours during the week from storms, didn’t matter, nice grill to cook on. Lots of water floats, yard chairs, some yard games, kids even found a couple kites they had a blast flying for hours. Cottage was just as described with everything you could possibly need. I usually bring extra pans, large frying pan on such trips- didn’t need to. Hosts were available for any questions. We enjoyed Dell Cottage very much and hope to enjoy another stay next summer.

Wonderful Experience!

We love Port Sanilac and Dell Cottage is our favorite place to stay. It's clean, private, quiet, scenic, relaxing, comfortable, convenient, safe and inviting. There's more positive adjectives I could add, but let me just say it's a special place for me and my family. I'm grateful we could spend time here together for a week in June. We're excited to return.

Awesome Vacation!

Had a fantastic time again at the Dell Cottage. The beach is so much bigger than last year which made our stay perfect! It was so fun to have my daughter and my friend join us so we could show off what a wonderful find this cottage is to stay at. The cabin is so spacious and has comfortable furnishings. The kitchen has everything you need. The yard is huge, private and spacious. A creek runs along one side. You will hear zero road noise. There’s a store around the corner that stocks anything you could want. The lake is so warm and beautiful. The beachfront is large and no one will be close to you. Mary Bath and Gary are super nice. My daughter and friend were totally blown away by our vacation!

Amazing Port Sanilac Cottage

The cottage was amazing. Great views of Lake Huron from the sunroom. Both bedrooms had a/c so we could get a good nights sleep even when it was hot and muggy. Very short walk to the sandy beach, our golden retriever also loved the beach and water. Very close to town so we could get anything we needed. We look forward to staying here in the future.

Top Notch!

The Dell Cottage was wonderful! We especially loved the large porch as well as the view! The lake was warm enough to swim in almost every day! The large, flat back yard was perfect for badminton and the clothes line came in really handy! The kitchen was well stocked, also. We felt very lucky and hope we can rent this property again!

Wonderful cottage on Lake Huron

Overall fantastic. Clean and well taken care of. Sunroom was great to watch the ships go by. Beach was wonderful. A great place to stay and highly recommend it.

Great place! Just as the pictures show!

This was a great cottage and even closer to the water than expected! Water was clear, shallow and sandy - perfect for our little kids to play in. This was a great place to stay and highly recommend it!

Amazing Cottage on Lake Huron

Spent several days and nights at Dell Cottage. An amazing cottage right on Lake Huron in Port Sanilac. The sunroom is probably the area of the house we spent the most time in, looking at the lake and watching boats go by. Sunrises were beautiful. MaryBeth, the owner of the cottage is wonderful - really nice and very accommodating. Our dogs had a great time too. Hoping to go back again.

Great week at the Dell Cottage

The cottage was clean (no "cottage smell" or bugs"), well appointed, and nicely decorated, and offered a lot of privacy. The sunroom was just awesome, and when we weren't enjoying the outside, we were relaxing in this wonderful room with the great view, ceiling fans, and comfortable furniture (even found a former best seller book that we hadn't read!). The Wifi and TV worked great, and the bedroom a/c was a blessing as it was rather hot during our stay. The water was good to drink and bathe in, and this area of the lake was clear and perfect for swimming and the beach was sandy and good for walks and building castles. We are golfers, and Huron Shores was just 5 minutes away, and the courses at Sandusky and Lexington only about 20 minutes away. We really liked the Stone Lodge (great ribs), the Blue Water Grill (calzones and burgers), and my husband said the Forester Inn's walleye was the best he ever had (my pork chops were delicious too). We appreciated that we could bring our little Boston Terrier, Andy, and we definitely would recommend this cottage, and will be back for our next vacation in Port Sanilac.

Best Cottage ever!

We had a wonderful time at the Dell cottage. We’ve stayed at other cottages which always felt cramped, dark and not real clean. This one exceeded our expectations. It’s so roomy it made me sad my kids couldn’t make it. The beds in the bedrooms were both really comfortable and had nice cotton bedding. The kitchen was roomy and had so many supplies I can’t think of anything missing. The frig is really big. Stove was spotless. There’s a huge, nice microwave. The living room is roomy but nothing compared to the sun room. Wow! We were amazed! It’s stupendous. The four door walls give u such a view. You can see it in the kitchen and living room too. There’s enuf furniture for lots of people and still has a ton of room to set your stuff. Onto the yard! One side is a creek. It’s an expansive space for kids and pets. A huge shed has tons of chairs. There’s a FIrepit with tons of wood in a great spot. The beach is gorgeous. It’s shallow a long way and has a sweet sand bar. It’s very private. There’s a market so close you could walk it. They had great prices and even fresh produce. Liquor beer wine. Mary Beth is wonderful to talk to. Don’t hesitate to ask her questions. As you can tell we are booking next year.... I just hope we can share this awesome find with our kids!

Amazing view

Beyond enjoyed this beautiful house!! The view, beach and the water was the BEST part!! The back sunroom with ceiling fans was the best place in the home.. we sat there and enjoyed the view!! Loved this stay!! Thank you!!!!

Dell Cottage

We loved Dell cottage, we couldn't have asked for a more private spot and the sunroom was amazing! The beds were really comfortable and the kitchen well stocked, it was also great to have Netflix for the evenings. Both Port Sanilac and Lexington offered a good choice of restaurants and nice shops if you wanted an afternoon of shopping. We are looking forward to vacationing there again next summer!

Perfect description

We enjoyed our family week together. Kids loved the water even though it was still to cold for dad. We had plenty of room for our family of 5 and a cousin. Our oldest daughter with autism made her self right at home here and the path to the water made it easier to get her to the water. Everyone can't wait for next summer. Thank you Marybeth we enjoyed your place very much.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at Dell Cottage. The home was charming and clean. The view was great. We especially loved the sun porch! The pics and description of the house are right on, and Mary Beth was great to work with. We spent time watching boats, collecting stones on the beach, and splashing in the water. There's a nice yard where our 2 year old could run and play. She also enjoyed the nice playground at the marina (and the First Mate for ice cream). The Dell Cottage and Port Sanilac provided exactly the kind of vacation our little family was in need of--quiet time together in the sunshine and waves.

This cottage has been in my family since the 1950's. Isla and Harry Dell, my great Aunt and Uncle were very generous with letting family enjoy summertime on Lake Huron. When the property became available, we scooped it up!!!
