New build in 2022. We are located 2 miles outside of town, local lakes for swimming, kayaking, and boating activities. Only a 15 min drive from historical Chimney Rock. Absolute stunning view of sunrise and sunset in the beautiful panhandle of Nebraska! House if fully stocked, outside fire pit and bbq grill available as well.

This has to be one of the coolest places I’ve stayed. It’s an amazing lodge with everything you could possibly want for a great stay. The host are awesome.

Fantastic stay

Our stay was everything we needed it to be and more. It was able to accommodate our 10 family members comfortably. The house was above and beyond our expectations and we will definitely stay again when we visit our family in the area.

Misleading Pricing – Beware of Hidden Guest Charges

Unfortunately, our group did not stay at this property due to a hidden fee that was brought to our attention just one week before our scheduled arrival. We had booked and paid in full back in January, and at no point during the booking process were we made aware of an additional 10 per person fee beyond the first four guests—resulting in a surprise 150 charge a week before our stay at the end of June.The listing clearly states that the home sleeps 14 comfortably, so this fee came as a shock. What made matters worse was the timing: the owner only notified us of the extra charge after the cancellation window had closed, leaving us with no easy recourse.Due to the late notice, lack of transparency, and the tone of the communication from the owner, we ultimately decided not to stay. We were concerned that pushing back on the charges might lead to retaliation or an uncomfortable experience during our trip. We've never encountered a situation like this before on VRBO, and we hope future guests are made fully aware of all potential fees before booking.

Our family loved our time at this beautiful home. We are so grateful for Jennifer and her kindness. She was an exceptional host and we sincerely hope we can return in the near future. The bedding was so new, clean and comfortable! The kitchen was full of everything we needed. The views were stunning!

Great Hosts

Our family was in town for a baseball tournament. The house was clean and had all listed amenities. The host was accommodating and very responsive. They went above and beyond to have our families safety in mind during severe weather! We really enjoyed the comfort of a beautiful space and beautiful views. We enjoyed the local lake, food, and historical sites! Planning many more annual trips and will book again!!!

Great place.

The lodge is absolutely awesome. Clean and beautiful. Jen was also awesome. She accommodated us last minute instead of canceling like most hosts would have. The property is awesome with great views. All the furniture is super comfy including the beds. Everything worked. This place is really a great place to stay. This will prob be our yearly stay on our road trips out to Wyoming. Thanks Jen.

Hidden Gem!

Spent the weekend on a Western NE Girls Trip and this was the perfect location! About 30 miles to any of the amazing sites. The lodge is cozy and well kept. It had everything we needed. And, we know it was EXACTLY how Mark envisioned it!! ❀

GDO is a beautiful and clean place to stay! My group of students and I really enjoyed our stay and it was easy to access and find. There was plenty of space for everyone in our group. Would come back again!
