It’s time to escape to the mountains at this secluded home tucked into the trees just west of Fairplay. Spend quiet mornings sipping coffee on your deck - weather permitting - watching for wildlife and enjoying the serenity. When you want to explore, you’re surrounded by stunning hiking, mountain biking, and cross-country skiing trails, while fishing (fly and ice) are also possible. Plus, snowshoes are provided! The restaurants, shops, and other amenities of Fairplay are five miles away, and the ski slopes of Breckenridge beckon around 25 miles north. You'll also find several wineries, distilleries, and breweries nearby as well as soothing hot springs, gold mines, and parks.

At home, the open, light-filled living space boasts high ceilings, a wall of windows, and a cozy woodstove, with wood thoughtfully provided, perfect for cool Colorado nights. Take advantage of the full kitchen to whip up some waffles for breakfast, then sit down for a meal together at the adjacent dining table.

After a day of exploring, head downstairs to shoot some pool, play air hockey, or go for a hat trick on the dart board in the game room. If you’re just looking to relax, settle in with a DVD from the on-hand library, play a board game, strum a tune on the provided guitar, or scroll social media with the free WiFi. Toss the day’s clothes in the convenient washer/dryer, then fire up the gas grill on the deck for an easy cookout. The night ends in any of three well-appointed bedrooms, where you can fall asleep dreaming of your first - and next - magical mountain day.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
