Summary:
One of East Dallas' first conservation districts, Hollywood Santa Monica Neighborhood is special. Our house has been remodeled and has something for everybody. Outdoor patio with fireplace, salt swimming pool, built in hot tub/spa. E Dallas considers itself the eclectic, weird part of Dallas. Huge trees and rolling hills, it is really a very unique part of Dallas. Close to downtown Dallas and I30 and straight to Arlington for all the sport venues and entertainment and then on to Fort Worth.

The Space:
The house is a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom home built in 1931. The home has been completely remodeled and has the latest in home automation. The primary bedroom is very large with a huge bathroom. As this is an almost 100 year old home, closets weren't a "thing" in those days. So, we have provided rolling hanging racks in each room so that you can hang your clothes.

Guest access is completely automated and will be sent via email & text message 7 days prior to arrival.

The Neighborhood:
Heavily treed, quiet and hilly neighborhood, that is very unique to Dallas. We are located in E. Dallas in the Lakewood area. We are less than a mile from Whiterock Lake and one block to the Santa Fe Trail. This trail takes you to the Lake and to Downtown Dallas. Great biking, hiking and running! The neighborhood is also close to I30 which will take you to Arlington for Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, Six-Flags, and all of the entertainment in that area. It also is a direct drive to Fort Worth.

Getting Around:
Uber and Lyft are easy ways to get around the metroplex.

Great Property and Location

The house was perfect for our stay. The surrounding area has a lot to offer and is easily accessible. The lake is nearby for outdoor enthusiasts. The check in was easy. The house had all the needed ammenties to stay in and cook or hang out in the backyard. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful Gem in Dallas

Stayed here on the coldest days in Dallas but the heated pool and jacuzzi saved the trip! So nice. The house is beautifully decorated, spacious, and very clean. Our teens loved the pool and we loved the comfy beds!! We would stay again over and over!

DALLAS SPA RETREAT!!!

My son moved to Dallas and we opted to spend Christmas our there and rented this awesome house. From booking, thru payment thru arrival and departure we were treated like royalty. Ease of check in was great. The house was lovely, and the heated pool and hot tub were the best for post dinner relaxation. The outdoor fireplace made the best way to unwind in the evening. The kitchen had everything we needed, and was very well stocked. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathrooms modern and clean. Any question we had was answered swiftly. I would stay here again next visit to the Big D, Dallas.

Great stay! We had a wonderful time!

The home was perfect for me and my 2 grandchildren. We enjoyed the location. We also enjoyed the restaurant recommendations the owner gave that were close to the home! We had a great time and I am glad I found this home on VRBO. Also, I like that the owners kept some of the old world charm of this 1930’s home! The spa was great! We enjoyed it in December!

Lovely house in beautiful neighborhood

Everything was perfect. I especially loved the neighborhood which is beautiful with historic houses from the 1930’s, well maintained gardens and big trees, and such friendly neighbors> The owner of property also extremely responsive and helpful. Fantastic kitchen and MBR and MB.

Dallas work trip

This place was perfect for me and my colleagues while we were attending a convention for work. The proximity to the city, while being just far enough away and quiet was ideal for us. We would highly recommend this home to our friends and family.

Beautiful little hideaway

Amazing little hideaway. This home is perfect! Perfect size, perfect amenities, perfect location to shopping and groceries, perfect location to expressway. I don’t think we were looking for or needed anything that wasn’t already there. Quiet and safe neighborhood.

Thanksgiving Commanders Game

My family (2 adults + semi adult) kids flew into Dallas for Commanders vs Cowboys Thanksgiving game. We had a ball! So close to everything Dallas and great restaurants around. We truly enjoyed this beautiful home. Such a warm and beautifully decorated house with all the amenities you could ever want. Our host had it together down to the alarm system. I would 100% stay here again. Great place!

Beautiful & comfortable home in Quiet Neighborhood

My boyfriend and i come to the Dallas area often and this time decided to stay in a house. Found this property and it exceeded expectations. Home was comfortable and well stocked. Outdoor area was super cute and cozy. The temperatures were over 105 all week so spending time outside was limited to the mornings and later evenings. But what a great place to enjoy your morning coffee. Home is close to a grocery store and some great Mexican restaurants. Check in and out was easy. Host was super responsive and helpful! Will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful home in gorgeous neighborhood

Beautiful historic home! The house has been tastefully renovated and beautifully decorated. Extremely comfortable and inviting. The master bedroom and bath are gorgeous and the beds are very comfortable. Enjoyed sitting in the cozy outdoor living space. The kitchen has absolutely everything you need-it is truly a cooks kitchen. High end cookware and cooking tools. We also enjoyed walking in the neighborhood and admiring the historic homes and beautifully landscaped lawns and gardens. Everything exceeded my expectations. Easy check in/check out and communication with host was no problem . If you are considering this property, don’t hesitate to book. Absolutely lovely
