Charmiga unika privata hus med utsikt betesmarker i närheten av Amsterdam

Vår stuga ligger på landsbygden på en vall intill den pittoreska floden "Het Gein". En typisk holländsk omgivande där du kan cykla och gå. På sommaren kan du bada i floden Het Gein.
Amsterdam är mycket nära: med en cykel det tar 5 minuter till tunnelbanestationen Gein, som tar dig i 20 minuter till centrum av Amsterdam. Med en bil kan du köra i 5 minuter till P + R tunnelbanestationen Gaasperplas eller till tågstationen Abcoude. Och i 15 minuter med bil till centrum av Amsterdam.
Eftersom vårt hus är så centralt beläget, alla stora turistattraktioner ligger inom en timmes bilfärd, till exempel Keukenhof, Zaanse Schans, Haarlem, Volendam, Marken, Haag, Hoge Veluwe, Utrecht och "Nordens Venedig": Giethoorn etc etc .

Lusthuset i vår gård, som byggdes 1865, ligger bara 200 meter från staden gränsen till Amsterdam. På första våningen finns 2 sovrum med en individuell badrum, det finns en levande och ett stort kök med matbord. De vikdörrar tar dig till den stora privata trädgården som ger dig en panoramautsikt till de omgivande betesmarker med betande får och kor. På andra våningen hittar du en mycket rymlig loft-liknande vardagsrum och stort matbord med öppen spis. Det finns också en TV med DVD-spelare.

Huset har en rik historia: till 60-talet sommarstugan var en ladugården med hö loft och gården hyrdes av olika bönder familjer. Senare marken såldes av Amsterdams kommun till den berömda holländska skulptören Nel van Lith. På den gamla höskullen gav hon skulptör lärdomar som vår tidigare drottning Beatrix. Från 1995 bodde en trädgårdsarkitekt här och hon designade den engelska / franska romantiska trädgården som fortfarande är intakt idag.

OBS: Från 1 maj 2019 kommer fastigheten att stängas i 12 månader till följd av byggnadsarbeten!

Beautiful and peaceful. Excellent location easily close to shops and easy transport to tram/train. Stephanie was excellant host very helpful and kind. Only drawback was mosquitoes come with after bite and repellant. Otherwise house was roomy and well equipped

Four of us - own cars, own bikes. Fabulous house in a wonderful spot. Stephanie is a gracious and delightful host and her holiday home is perfect. Can’t recommend highly enough. Five Stars.

Great relaxing stay

Enjoyed our stay

There is a lovely garden with a deck where we are entertained by the birds, the mallards, the cows and the flowers . Very convenient location, we can always find a great outdoor cafe for lunch. We like the kitchen, which is large and has a gas stove.

Beautiful Surroundings

Lovely history in a beautiful setting with a charming house. Excellent in most all ways. Surrounded by canal, farm and historic windmills. Very quiet and conveniently located to many wonderful places to visit.

Idyllic place im a calm surrounding

We had a wonderful time in this idyllic place at the river,surrounded by cows and near a farmers shop.The house was clean and had a huge kitchen.There were also mosquito-nets for protection.We enjoyed a week and spend a day renting bikes to explore Abcoude and the nearby area.

Beyond Beautiful!

This surpassed our wildest dreams. Such a well-equipped “little” cottage. So roomy, beautifully decorated, just the perfect place for a family to stay on holiday. One disclaimer, it’s a bit far from Amsterdam and neither train station is all that close. If you don’t have a car, you’ll pay premium for Ubers back and forth. But I would still stay here again in a heartbeat.

This place has it all!

Stephanie has provided a beautiful, spacious place in a bucolic setting. The town of Abcoude has a number of nice restaurants which Stephanie recommends, a gas station and local grocery store. we would definitely stay there again if we are fortunate enough to be able to return.

Quiet stay

This property was beautiful and peaceful. It was a lot of space for our family of 4. Check in and out was easy. A car is recommended if you are visiting other places, but not necessary. We used the train station, which is about a 20 minute walk away.

A real gem near Amsterdam,

This place was a perfect place of respite after a day of sightseeing around South Holland. The garden and grounds were so beautiful we almost hated to leave the house to travel for the day. Stephanie is an excellent host. She helped us navigate our way into Amsterdam (local train station) and to find local restaurants.

Beauttiful Dutch trip

Stunning countryside setting, with easy access to the local town of Abcoude and its station to then explore Amsterdam. The house its self was beautiful and everything we needed was there. Stephanie was on hand should you need any assistance. All in all a great trip and will hopefully return.

Great stay in nature

Stephanie’s place is an amazing converted barn surrounded by a lovely garden and farmland. The location is convenient to Amsterdam (25 min by train) and a short run or drive to the quaint town of Weesp. She takes pride in her property and is extremely helpful with local tips and ideas of things to do in the area. Be sure to walk to the local dairy farm for some Tasty cheeses, yogurt and milk. Very comfortable for our family of four to stay in for multiple days. We will be back!

Best of the best.

Anyone wishing to stay at this property will be amazed at how wonderful it is. It's location will give you a true experience of living on the outskirts of a lovely village. It has the best of everything. Easy transport into the city. Plenty of shops and places to explore. The accommodation is very clean and short of nothing. Our host was very helpful and recommended lots of things to do. It was a shame we couldn't stay longer. Do not miss the property, you will be amazed.

Perfect Lodging!

My wife and I had 10 amazing nights at the property! Stephanie provided exemplary coordination from the date of booking through check-out. We used the bedroom closest to the backyard pond - very comfortable and spacious! Plenty of room exists to hang clothes (we are on a 36-day holiday, so quite a few clothes), as well as dresser for folded items. The bathroom in that bedroom (both bedrooms have dedicated bathrooms) was terrific. Plenty of hot water and great water pressure in the shower. The heated floors are particularly nice when getting out of the shower. We cooked five meals at the property, with the gas stove/oven working perfectly. While the refrigerator has no freezer, we found placing frozen vegetables in the back of the refrigerator kept them sufficiently chilled. Satellite TV was great with several channels in English (movies on Chan 8/9 every night starting around 8pm), BBC, and CNN. The upstairs loft is extremely spacious, with a very large sectional sofa. We used the property as a 'hub' to 'spoke' out to Amsterdam, Leiden, Hague, Rotterdam, Delft, and Lisse. Very quiet and relaxing location, yet not far from anything you need (great Jumbo-brand grocery 15 minutes away). We would most definitely stay here again!

Relaxing

Great place in a very quiet area. Owner is great and welcoming. The loft is a great place to wind down after a long day but be ready as it is very warm. House is very fonctional but two little things were unpleasant. There are ants pretty much everywhere and the timing for the gardeners was awfull. One morning they were triming and making lots of noise right beside my window, waking me up. And the next morning they were working in front of the washroom window while I was in the shower. It was interesting....but they did a great job with their work...lol.

Beautiful location but some issues

We booked this property after previous city centre based stays, we were looking for a more rural location which this certainly meets, it is an ideal balance between rural peace and sights and only a 25 minute walk to the Amsterdam metro. The host was helpful with our delayed arrival but otherwise left us to our own devices which we prefer. It would be remiss of me not to mention some of the issues we felt were with the property, it is broadly as described, the pictures are an accurate reflection of the rooms. I think it’s fair to say some of the fixtures and fittings are showing signs of age and could do with a little refresh. One issue we were not expecting was the presence of mosquitos around the property, to such and extent it was necessary to sleep under protective nets, they were an annoyance more than a specific problem but I wish I’d known this prior to booking. In summary this is a lovely location but I ultimately feel a bit disappointed with the actual accommodation.
