I feel I must warn others about Ashley as a host. I stayed in one of her places for 30 days while getting treatment at KU Medical. During that time I dealt with smoke in a non-smoking room, a non functioning toilet, issues with the door locking and unlocking, loud volume from Bingo every Wednesday night in the restaurant below and animals scratching in the ceiling the entire stay. The units are nicely decorated but old and cheaply equipped. Ashley is very smooth talking but cheap and consistently deferred to âpoliciesâ that wouldnât allow her to give discounts and problems with the building that wouldnât allow issues to be resolved sooner. She even insinuated that my medical treatments were making me over sensitive to all these issues. At no point did she take personal responsibility or go out of her way to see that I was satisfied with my stay. In the end, she did not even refund my cleaning deposit. VRBO stepped in and refunded their fee after months of working on it. Be smart. Look for a better host and more pleasant experience than I had.
