The VERBO itself was as advertised. This is a remote location but one I’m sure good for lake proximity. I must note though in regard to communication - Up to the point of check in things went smoothly. However; the phone number given (through VRBO messages and on the printed instructions inside the house) was answered by an AI chatbot. Which, under normal circumstances might have been acceptable. During my stay an emergency situation involving our saftey arouse. The situation resulted in me calling 911 and two Sheriff’s deputies coming to the house. This was at 9:10pm. The RV park host was supposed to be a point of contact and the phone number listed was supposed to be a point of contact. I called the number listed three different times and expressed the urgency of the situation, i thought the host might want to know there were police cars outside of the home. These messages were left between 9:10 pm and 9:30 pm with no call back or message until the next morning, 12 hours later. At this point of contact the host wrote they wished they’d known, but did confirm having received my messages regarding safety. The situation was not of the host’s making and calling 911 was the best course of action, it was disconcerting that a message about safety was not answered for 12 hrs and that the RV park host did not respond while the two police cars and officers searched the area with their lights flashing.

I'm sorry there was any concerns at all. I still don't know what went on. Im very responsive to every phone call I get. My phone does have Al set up but once you say your name it goes though. It was after 9.15 and I do go to bed around 9. As soon as I seen the vrbo text the next morning, I responded right away with a phone call, text message and message though vrbo. Never heard back from you until the following night with just a text. On the list we do have 3 phone numbers. I was the only one who had 1 missed called. We have gone back and looked at the cameras and don't show there was any problems. We own the rv park next door for over 9 years with zero issues. I'm sorry there was any problems at all.

Pleasant stay.

Great location, it is very close to the lake Sommerville. The cabin is new, very clean and comfortable with everything provided. The owner is very nice, and helping, we would highly recommend it!!

Girls trip

Perfect size for us 4 ladies on a weekend getaway. We shopped in Burton and Round Rock, went to the lake, and sat by the fire pit at night. Easy access, great communication and very clean.

Wonderful Cabin

My family and I really loved this cabin. The proximity to the lake is what drew us in, but when we got there, we decided we would definitely be repeat users. It was the perfect space for our family of 4 (plus dog!) Our plans changed a bit, and we couldn’t make it in the first night of our rental. However, the owner very accommodating. It was Father’s Day & my husband’s birthday, so we had plans to bake cupcakes one night after a day of lake fun. However, they didn’t have mixing bowls or a cupcake pan (I admit… it’s not something a lake house should typically have…) but just in case you have plans to do the same, bring your own. They do have a few Pyrex dishes that we ended up using. Overall, it was so wonderful. We can’t wait to book again!

We loved it. My family and I enjoyed scenery. We would enjoy going again in the future. The best part was the deer, we woke up early and saw them in the back.
