3 våningar chalet inbäddat i kaskadbergen på 4000 höjd. Fantastisk utsikt över Siskiyou Mtns, Klamath Mtns, Colestine Valley och Mt. Ashland. Fantastiska solnedgångar!
Perfekt för vandrare (5 minuter från Pacific Crest Trail och Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument / Pilot Rock), cyklister (dussintals spår från Mt. Ashland ner till staden Ashland), skidåkare (Mt. Ashland Lodge ligger 15 minuter bort, takbjälkar (Klamath River put-in är 30 minuter söderut) och Shakespearean-typer som föredrar privatliv med utsikt! 15 minuter från Ashland ner I-5 Siskiyou-toppmötet.
Chalet har 1000 kvadratmeter däck och ligger i kaskadbergen och byggd för att inte förändra den naturliga omgivningen.

Varför ägaren valde Ashland: Den här egenskapen har varit ett drömprojekt. Jag köpte den nakna marken 2007 och började bygga under hösten samma år. Chalet slutfördes i februari 2009. Som med all nybyggnation på areal pågår de lilla projekten ständigt! Ägaren bor på fastigheten, men borta från gästerna för deras integritet.

Om du besöker under vintermånaderna (och eventuellt våren och hösten), är det tillrådligt att köra ett fyrhjuligt fordon utrustat med däckkedjor. Även om fyrhjulsdrift inte vanligtvis är nödvändigt, har Mother Nature förvånat oss med måttliga till tunga ansamlingar av snö!

De unika fördelarna med detta stuga: Om du vill ha lugn och ro med en spektakulär utsikt, är detta platsen för dig! Perfekt för familjesammanträden medan bara 15 minuter till Ashland reser norrut på I-5.

OSF Weekend

In Ashland for a couple of OSF shows, we chose to stay a bit out of town in a beautiful house with an excellent view. The house suits three couples just fine with room for more. Bought groceries and made meals at the house in the well stocked and roomy kitchen. We'll be back! : )

Great place for a family gathering

This was a perfect place for our family birthday celebration. We loved the view, easy access to Ashland, the beds and bedrooms were comfortable and the kitchen was roomy and easy to cook in. Lovely decorations/artwork. Everything was very clean (and I really appreciated having an abundance of clean dishtowels and towels available). We had a little hiccup with getting in the chalet because we had only been given the old instructions as to where the key was, but Paul was available to provide the lockbox info so we were able to get in. A few things that would have made the stay even better - WIFI access would have been nice as the cell service was not great (for Verizon at least) and the seating in the living room was not quite adequate for the six of us. But all things considered this was a perfect spot for us and I would certainly recommend it for others.

Beautiful, mountain home!

This property has the most breathtaking view of the hills and valley! It is a very spacious home with more than enough areas for our entire family to be comfortable. The master closet is so large, my granddaughters slept in it! We enjoyed our stay very much and would choose to stay there again if staying in that area.

My family and I loved our stay- the views were incredible! There was plenty of room for all of us to spread out. We saw a deer family come right up to the home and later that evening we saw the Milky Way. The owner, Paul, is a great host. Thank you!

Amazing view

Great communication with the owner, Paul, who helped even after we left and my sister realized she forgot something there. The place so stunning. We saw it driving in up interstate 5 and were so excited to check in. It was clean and has everything you need for summer or winter. There’s games, wifi, satellite tv, and a fire pit. I hope to come back in the winter to go skiing. There is definitely room for 14 people. It was perfect for my family, my sister’s, and our parents. I bet it’s even more spectacular in the winter! Thanks for being such a great host, Paul!

Fantastic house with a great view

Had a great stay for a ski weekend at Mt. Ashland. Close proximity to the mountain, brought everything we needed for 4 days so no need to run to town for anything. The house is set up nicely, great fireplace, close to hiking on the PCT and an easy drive up to Mt Ashland. Great communication with Paul (owner), easy check in and check out instructions, and the house is very well stocked with everything you need for preparing meals. Very much look forward to a return stay in the future!

Beautiful view

Driving on the highway and you can see this beautiful house perched on top of a mountain. The view outside and the inside of the house is absolutely breathtaking. All the windows in the house were amazing. This house was a perfect size for us 3. The little dirt road up to the house was not bad at all and we had a normal sedan Car. The inside of the house was beautiful and clean and had everything we needed. the outside had a lot of cigarette butts everywhere on the ground and the trash by the fire pit was not taken out so cans had came out on the ground. No access to the garage which was fine but there is only 1 level that stayed can be. It was our 1st time to Oregon and we can't wait to come back

Great weekend!

Loved the views of this property. Paul made the process easy and my group and I had a great time. The listing says it sleeps 15 which I think would be quite a stretch. I’d say closer to 10 would be more accurate. Other than that everything was great!

Christmas Family Vacation

We had a great time, gorgeous views, beautiful cozy cabin. It was a little misleading though that it said 3 stories, 2600 sq ft when only 2 stories are actually accessible to guests. There was no ping pong table, which it did list. I guess we just thought it was a little bigger than it was. We still had a great time though! I would recommend it! Thanks Paul!

Family Christmas

We had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas in your beautiful chalet. We had 3 couples and 4 kids, we all slept comfortably and were impressed with how comfortable the beds are! One of the highlights of our vacation was Christmas dinner, we had 11 adults at the table. The cabin was clean, the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook with, and we didn't run out of towels. Our Christmas was unforgettable and everything we had wished for, thank you for allowing us to rent your chalet.

Varför värden valde detta boende

This property has been a dream project. I purchased the bare land in 2007 and began construction in the Fall of that year. The Chalet was completed in February 2009. As with all properties on country acreage, the little projects are constantly ongoing!

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

The Colestine Valley has its own unique physical climate. It may be raining in the Rogue Valley and the sun will be shining in the Colestine Valley.
Additionally, many people do not know that there is a large Buddhist Temple below the chalet in the valley. I always recommend to visitors to visit the temple for a half day trip. It is 3 miles down Colestine Rd. off the Mt. Ashland access road. Owner occupies a separate part of the property for your privacy.
Take the time to clear your mind and tune in to the positive energy of the valley.
