Ultra quiet, high-end window A/C units will keep you cool during the hot summer months. Dog friendly and less than a 5-minute walk to our deeded private beach access at 290 Herr Road! Only 0.7 miles to popular beach bars Stroh's and Castaways at Lake Erie Beach Park, 1.3 miles to Turtle Joe's Sandbar and Mickey Rats Beach Club, and a short 5-minute drive to Evangola State Park!

NY NIAGRA FALLS TRIP

Owner was very easy to communicate with and even accommodated us for an extra night since we arrived early. We had enough room; the beds were comfortable, and the neighbors were very friendly. Location was perfect, close to the beach. We did a day trip to the falls, one to buffalo and one to the beach. Would stay again if I have the chance.

Easy check-in and check-out

Cute cottage right next to Lake Erie! Angela was very easy to work with. The check in and check out process was the easiest that we’ve had on VRBO thus far. I wish we made this trip in the summer time instead of winter, but it was only an hour from Niagara Falls. We were also able to visit Lake Ontario. It was a great visit!

We Felt misled we felt like the way she described it. We were on the beach, but it was not the case and the bathroom shower / tub was a disaster.

Nice quiet stay. A couple quirks with house

Had a nice time. Very quiet. The arrangement of the bathroom and bedrooms is very bizarre. I do not recommend bringing kids if you want privacy with your partner. No door on main bedroom and bathroom is inside the main bedroom. Accordion door for secondary bedroom.

Girls' weekend!

The cottage was very cute although a bit outdated but it served our purposes for my 2 girlfriends and I. It was extremely quiet. It literally only took about 5 minutes to walk down to the private beach. They even had a nice fold up beach wagon to use! The private beach was AMAZING!! So quiet and we had PERFECT beach weather! The owner was very responsive and check in and check out was a breeze! We had a fire one night and there are alot of stars on a clear night. The neighbor was extremely friendly and even gave us blueberry muffins! The only downside was that the only bathroom is in the master bedroom so you have to walk through the master bedroom to get to the bathroom and there isn't a door on the master bedroom. They do offer a privacy screen for that room. It was fine for us as it was a girls' trip. It would be fine for a couple also but maybe not so good for more than one couple or someone who needs a bit more privacy. Overall we had a FABULOUS weekend! Thank-you for a great girls' getaway! :)

We were told upon arrival that we could not stay there, as the owner was living there. We booked this house 9 months in advance. There was plenty of time for communication.

Clean, peaceful and quiet

I came here with my 19 yo son and our pup, and it was exactly the quiet getaway we were looking for. A two minute walk to the beach and a short ride to Buffalo - there was enough to do while still being peaceful. The next door neighbors were also very friendly.

Sweet Lake Cottage in a Perfect Location

We were in town to attend a family wedding and stayed 5 days at Angela's cottage. It is spacious and well appointed, we had everything we needed including beach access! Angela is a thoughtful and gracious host. She checked in several times to make sure we were comfortable and to see if we needed anything. And, I would be remiss if I didn't mention the very sweet neighbors next door, Sandra and Tom. We would definitely recommend Angela's cottage and would stay here again.

Perfectly adorable

We loved the quiet location! Kept us nice and warm! Short power outage had no impact on us. Owners communicated perfectly during the power and WiFi outage due to winds/weather. Thanksgiving dinner with my kids was perfect. We hope to stay here again in the warmer weather so we can take advantage of the beach access and summer activities.

This place was well kept. Easy to check in, and easy to communicate with the host. We were in town for a basketball tournament on the cattaraugus community and the house was enough room for our stay

Angola stay October

We stayed here as a home base for college tours and Niagara Falls. Angela was kind and attentive. The place served our purposes well with our dog. The only thing that was a slight issue is that one must walk through the master bedroom (which has no door) to get to the bathroom. Angela does provide a dressing screen, which we made due with. There is not much around - think coffee shop, but Maria's pizza is quite good.

Cute starter rental

The property is clean and well-maintained. The neighborhood is peaceful. There is easy access to stores if you are willing to drive a little. The beach is very easy to get to, though I must admit we accessed it from the local park, not the private access so I am not sure what that section is like. The stay was originally meant to be just me and a friend however at the last minute they canceled so I ended up taking my family instead since I had already paid. The extra people fit fine and my kids had fun. I have stayed at many VRBO rentals and overall the experience was pleasant. The only issues I would site are that there is no clear check-in or check-out procedure listed so we were unsure of what was expected at the time. Also, it was a bit damp in the house, however, it was chilly and a bit rainy during our stay so that may not be as much of an issue during warmer months.
