Luxury Villa Arc with private pool near Dubrovnik
LOCATION
We are just far enough away from the crowds, located over the border into the quieter Herzegovina region of BOSNIA. (New faster border channels were completed in December 2019).
Villa Arc is just a 7 minute drive from the beautiful beaches of Srebreno and Milini and the fabulous jewel of the Adriatic, the city of Dubrovnik. The historic city dates back to the 7th Century with its prominent surrounding walls being a highlight for visitors. The walls have been a popular filming location for the fictional city of âKingâs Landingâ in the television series, âGame of Thronesâ.
Our local, 13th century, walled town of Trebinje is a historic delight to explore. The piazzas and cafe bars nestled under the great âPlataniâ trees are a great place to people watch and enjoy a coffee or ice cream.
There is a newly opened Water Park and in the evening âVukojeâ winery, with a rooftop terrace and restaurant offers diners great views over the town and river Trebisnjica. The town has something for everyone.
Further afield in Bosnia, Mostar and Kravice waterfalls are a fun day out or why not travel further afield to the Fjords of Kotor in Montenegro.
Staying with us enables you to visit 3 countries in one visit!
Due to our location and no public transport, car rental is essential.
THE SPACE
This villa is part of a small family resort and proudly commands magical views over the mountains and the valley to the Adriatic Sea. Villa Arc provides a quiet, relaxed and comfortable ambience for those who seek some quality time with friends and family.
The beautiful mountain and sea views are best enjoyed from the swimming pool (7mx4m) and extensive terraces. There are areas to relax on the sun loungers or to enjoy a morning coffee under the pergola on the outdoor sofas. This area is also ideal in the evening to enjoy a cocktail, as the sun begins to set. To end the day why not bbq and dine alfresco by the pool with the most stunning view!
Pool heating is included in the cooler months but in July and August it can be offered at ÂŁ15 per day. Please note the pool will not be filled from the end of November until beginning of April, as it is not possible to heat in the winter months unless requested.
The light and airy interior is beautifully decorated in a contemporary style to a high standard, air-conditioned throughout and with satellite TV and internet access. The open plan design, with a fully fitted kitchen adjoining the dining area allows for modern day living and entertaining.
Villa Arc sleeps up to 8 with 2 Master bedrooms en suite and 1 Master room with an adjacent bathroom. An additional 2 guests can be accommodated on the sofa bed in the lounge that has its own private bathroom with a walk-in shower. There is also a further WC downstairs.
Ideally located just 4 km away from the nearest beaches and restaurants, 6 km from Dubrovnik Old Town and 14 km from Dubrovnik Airport.
Please note as we are away from the crowds, in Bosnia, a car is needed for all aspects of getting around.
GUEST ACCESS
The manager will be there to meet and greet you. However, for the late arrivals, a key safe is available, with code and contact numbers given after booking.
We have also designed a brochure that is updated annually, tantalizing you with ideas of places to visit, complete with maps and directions! Places that are a bit off the beaten track and that the regular tourist wonât know about. We have ideas and tips for excursions, beaches and restaurants and sporting activities that have been recommended by the owner or previous guests. Ideal pool-side reading!
The owner will not be on the premises whilst guests are staying but there will be a property manager to meet and greet you and answer any enquiries.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
All linen is included.
Bedding and towels changed on request or after a 1 week stay.
Bathroom and pool towels are provided but NOT beach towels.
Price includes service/cleaning charge. Plus we offer a complimentary 2 hour mini housekeeping service once per week, servicing the kitchen, lounge and bathrooms.
On request we can provide a large baby travel cot, high chair and baby car seat.
We can also offer a babysitting service, if staff is available. There is a small additional cost charged for these services.

We do not have any public transport and so are not suitable for non drivers.

Everyone knows of Dubrovnik and Croatia, but not everyone has experienced the raw, Jurassic and stunning landscape that you see when visiting. It is affordable to eat and drink in the many restaurants, leaving you more time to look after yourself, relax and spend time with your friends. Thatâs what holidays are for!

Villa Arc is perched on top of the mountain, located away from the crowds but not too far should we wish to opt back in. There's nothing better than having a 'hard' day on the beach or walking round the historic old towns, to come back to the quietness of the villa and the inviting pool.
Breezy whispers coming off the mountain, the colour of the sunset hues, the smell of the BBQ coals and a refreshing cold glass of wine or beer in your hand are the memories we want you to return home with. You will need a photographic memory for our 'picture perfect view' as photos just don't do it justice!
Everyone knows for Croatia but not as to what Bosnia offers too!
