Gorgeous home and location!!

This is the most gorgeous, family friendly home and in such a beautiful location!!!! We want to live here. We brought 4 kids for a dog sledding trip. House feels remote but is close to town. The main town of Freeport is just a few min away - nice restaurants and shopping (LL Bean flagship store). It was very cold while here and snowed 12 inches but the home was always warm. Very well stocked kitchen. On the water with spectacular views. We can’t wait to come back!! LOVE IT!!

Girls shopping getaway

We all had a great time staying here. It was so clean and spacious and comfortable. Beautiful views. Easy in and out. We will come back again if we are coming back this way. Loved it!! Very relaxing. Thank you for a great weekend away!!

Beautiful South Freeport Home

The home was wonderful, quiet location, beautiful views, plentiful parking, great sleeping arrangements. Minor issueswith dining room chairs needing some repair and in need of a little better cleaning (e.g., dusting, sweeping under beds and dressers). But still a perfect rental for our group of 12.

Annual getaway

What started out as a retirement celebration has now turned into a yearly tradition. We had another fabulous getaway…perfect home for us. Kitchen so well equipped, bedrooms so comfortable. Plenty of room for the 5 of us. We love waking up to the view out on the river. Thank you!

Family Trip from Wisconsin

We enjoyed the property very much. Great location and space for all. Phone service is very spotty but WiFi was great. I would suggest putting shades on the doors in the basement just for privacy purposes. We also had a lot of mold in the basement shower, which we took care of but you should make your cleaning crew aware of. We would definitely stay here again.

Magical, Wonderful House

I celebrated by birthday here, for a month, with friends from all over the world. The scenery was stunning — the view of the water was never the same twice — and the house is so thoughtfully laid out, we felt like we were at home. The beds are super comfortable, the configurations are perfect for both couples and just-friends, and every room has natural light. The kitchen is an absolute dream — better equipped than my 0wn at home! We cooked and baked daily. There are eve fresh herbs in the front garden! Every convenience has been provided. Washer, dryer, dishwasher, comfortable couches and chairs, a great grill for outdoor cooking. Even the art on the walls was remarkable. It was not only the best rental property I’ve ever stayed at, it was one of the most memorable months of my life. Thank yo, Shannon and family for such a beautiful, magical place to celebrate with friends!

Loved the house, fully stocked with everything you might need, and SO many books if you need something to read! Downstairs bathroom could’ve been a little more detailed in cleaning, other than that, very happy with the house!

Perfect spot!

What a wonderful place to be with 3 generations for a week of family fun. We loved the various gathering places and bedrooms , the views and outdoor spaces were perfect for meals and boating, and I still can’t get over the fabulous kitchen. It was truly a home away from home! ☀️

Perfect

First time using Vrbo. It was everything our group was looking for in a rental. Throughout our stay everyone repeatedly commented on how it was the perfect house. Plenty of space for us to enjoy it as a group or to peel off for some "alone" time. And loved the bookcases! I would definitely recommend this rental.

Family Vacation

Wonderful house on the water with perfect distance either to Portland and south, local to the outlets, or north to the many choices including Harpswell, Booth Bay Harbor or Camden and Acadia and the many stops between. House is magnificent. Ample room for all sleeping, nice, large bathrooms / towels, awesome kitchen, and the huge great room that sprawled onto the deck overlooking the water was fantastic. Wonderful

Great property!

A group of co-workers from across different states got together for team building activities, one of which being cooking a meal together. The kitchen was so large, and so well equipped! Everyone had a wonderful time, and loved the spaciousness of the house. We were unable to enjoy the deck as there were brown tail moths in the trees above that were dropping off (no fault of the owner or the home, just unfortunate timing of spring) Highly recommend!

The Sugarbelles highly recommend!

The views! Incredible! Wow! The eight Sugarbelles loved this beautiful home on Casco Bay. It’s well built, spacious and was stocked with anything & everything needed for our weekend. We each had our own bed, all which were extremely comfortable. Lots of clean, soft bath towels, however, very few face cloths. No biggie! Most bedrooms did not have a mirror and that’s a must have for eight women! But even with those minor things, we truly loved the place. We were puzzled by the “tip envelope” in the kitchen, especially with the cleaning fee that was paid before our stay. The home was clean, but there’s room for some improvement. Overall, we give it a 5 star rating and would love to return in the near future.

Girls weekend

We got off to a rough start with a broken keypad. It was absolutely poring and the code did not work to get into the house. After great difficulty with service, we contacted the owner and located a key to get in. The house is beautiful with lots of space. There was plenty of room for six women. The house was close to restaurants and shopping. We had a very nice experience. Our only issue was the cleanliness of the house. I spoke to the owner about it and they acknowledged that there were issues with the cleaners and they were addressing it.

Beautiful home in a gorgeous location!

The home is very high quality, well designed and very spacious for our group of 5 couples. Our stay included an ice storm where the area lost power, however to our surprise the home had a whole house generator, so only lost power for maybe 5 seconds. Beautiful view! Looking forward to renting again in December!

I am one of four brothers and sisters who grew up in the charming village of South Freeport and this home was built for us to gather together a few times a year and for others to rent in between.

Varför värden valde detta boende

We love the village, the water and the proximity to Freeport and Portland and all the islands of Casco Bay. Freeport has many outlets, and is shopping heaven. Portland is a secret high culture mecca with excellent restaurants, visual arts, music and theatre. Both towns are minutes away.

Using the grill, lolling about on the balcony deck or by the fireplace (wood provided), appreciating nature and the quietness and the pull of the tides. Sitting or swimming from the dock at high tide.
