Made our reservation 2 months in advance. 3 days before the reservation we received an email with a full page of all the rules and detailed extra charges. It stated that the AC was locked at 77-78 and provided a sliding scale of extra daily charges to adjust the temp lower. (4 per day for 75-76, and 7 per day for 74-73 etc) We had an event to attend close by, so were fine with the unusual restrictions. We were running late, so sent a message to the owner to let them know. They did not respond. We arrived at the house around 9:00 pm. Noticed many security cameras outside the property. Their check in email said the location of the lockbox and that it would be released upon arrival. We messaged them that we had arrived - no response - called their phone number - they did not answer. Finally we called customer service who contacted them. While on the phone with customer service, the host cancelled our reservation and claimed they had cancelled it previously & rented to someone else. The house was clearly not occupied when we arrived. Don't waste your time. This host is rude, unprofessional, and should not be renting their property.While we were given a full refund by Vrbo, we had to scramble to find a hotel room nearby for our event. We were lucky, and were able to, but it could have been a very different story.
